Chapter 34 - Chapter 34

!

"No wonder he's Voldemort! At just twenty years old, he had already mastered the three Unforgivable Curses to an unmatched level!"

Develo stared in astonishment at the Horcrux panel in front of him.

He couldn't help but marvel.

Previously, the only magic he had seen on this level belonged to Snape. Especially Occlumency—he was arguably the most powerful Occlumens in the original story, handpicked by the author for his mastery.

But now, just a fragment of Voldemort's soul had already mastered these three terrifying spells to such a degree.

This alone proved how formidable Voldemort's original self must be.

Develo shifted his gaze away from the spell library and continued scrolling downward, carefully examining each entry on the Horcrux.

There wasn't much to comment on regarding the basic [Horcrux] entry. The primary difference from Harry's case was that Harry's Horcrux had been created by accident, so the impact on him was relatively minimal.

But this one—just looking at it—radiated pure evil.

When he saw the [Dark Lord] entry, his brows furrowed slightly.

"Incomplete? Could each Horcrux be a fragment of the full Dark Lord entry?"

If the incomplete version already showed golden-grade entries, then when fully assembled…

It would have to be red at the very least!

Develo nodded slightly.

After all, Voldemort was a powerful wizard who could go head-to-head with Dumbledore.

So it only made sense for his complete entry to be red.

It was terrifying to even imagine what Voldemort with a complete soul would be like—what kind of overwhelming personal charisma and magical power he might possess.

As for the remaining two purple entries, they were easier to understand.

[Innate Ruthlessness] fit perfectly with Voldemort's personality.

Growing up in an orphanage, later attending Hogwarts, and being mishandled by Dumbledore. Add to that the influence of his bloodline—descendants of inbreeding and a cursed ancestry.

All these factors stacked up over time, resulting in his deeply antisocial personality even as an adult.

[Decay] was simpler still—it referred to the fact that this diadem had been left in the Room of Requirement for far too long.

By Develo's calculations, it had likely been here for about fifty years.

"I wonder if Voldemort's Horcrux had consciousness. Wouldn't so many years of solitude drive anyone insane?"

Develo thought to himself with a touch of dark humor.

Then his expression became more serious.

[The Wilderness of Knowledge]

This was the first Unique-grade entry he had ever seen on someone—or rather something—other than himself.

Even though the Horcrux wasn't truly a person, the entry's origin likely wasn't due to some dark spell Voldemort performed.

More likely, this entry came from Ravenclaw's Diadem itself.

Considering Rowena Ravenclaw's dedication to the pursuit of wisdom, it wasn't far-fetched to imagine that this [Wilderness of Knowledge] might have been her original entry—later passed down into the diadem.

That seemed like a reasonable theory.

After all, Ravenclaw was one of the founders of Hogwarts. It made perfect sense for her to have a Unique-grade entry.

However, the description was extremely vague and abstract.

"You are knowledge itself?"

Develo frowned.

He had no clue what that actually meant.

The entry was too different from the Unique-grade ones he had himself.

For example, his own [Magical Prodigy] entry was undoubtedly top-tier in terms of magical talent. It practically embodied a fundamental rule of the world.

So far, Develo hadn't encountered a single spell he couldn't learn instantly.

Proficiency was the only barrier.

Then there was the [Transmigrator] entry—an ability granted by the great existence that had brought him here.

It was a mark of his unique identity.

As for [Wilderness of Knowledge]...

It clearly involved some kind of universal rule as well, and given its classification, the effect couldn't be weak.

But what exactly did it do?

"System, is there no additional description or detail for this entry?" Develo asked mentally.

[Answering the host.]

[There is no expanded information available.]

[But Unique-grade entries typically follow a basic logic.]

[The simpler the description, the more complex the effect.]

Develo blinked.

That didn't make things any clearer.

What was that supposed to mean?

"The simpler, the more complex?"

He rested his chin in his hand, deep in thought.

Did this mean that entries with short descriptions tended to have more complicated, layered effects?

That couldn't be it.

His own entries had relatively long descriptions, yet even now, he hadn't fully uncovered all their capabilities.

But if he judged by simplicity alone, then [Wilderness of Knowledge] was definitely the most concise Unique-grade entry he had ever seen.

It likely fit that logic.

Which meant... it might be even stronger—or weirder—than the two he already possessed.

"Would it give me all the knowledge in the world?"

Develo briefly indulged in the fantasy.

Of course, even with his talent, absorbing all that knowledge would probably cause his brain to explode.

Still, after some serious thought, he decided to give it a try.

It was just an entry, after all.

What's the worst that could happen?

It wasn't like the Horcrux entry that tried to convert him into a fragment of someone else.

So Develo began the process of loading the entry.

Suddenly!

A sharp, screeching noise rang out.

Develo's face twisted in pain.

[Warning!]

[Copying this entry will cause a fundamental change to the host's existence!]

[Please proceed with caution!]

[Does the host still wish to load the entry?]

Develo froze.

This was the first time the system had ever issued a warning when copying an entry.

A fundamental change to his existence?

That sounded… serious.

Like he might stop being human.

Maybe he'd become an artifact, like the diadem.

He instantly dismissed the idea.

Too risky.

Apparently, not all entries were safe to copy at will.

This one might literally transform him into an object—erasing his humanity.

Shaking off the tension, Develo stood up and brushed the dust off his clothes.

Today's experience in the Room of Requirement had taught him an important lesson.

From now on, whenever he encountered magical items that seemed even remotely dangerous, he'd proceed with more caution.

Just as he was preparing to cast a Levitation Charm to hide the plaster statue deeper within the cluttered room—

A voice shattered the silence.

"Hello, little wizard."

Startled, Develo whipped out his wand.

Eyes darting around.

He had double-checked the room upon arrival.

He was certain no one else was here.

So how was someone speaking now?

"Little guy, I'm here."

Develo slowly looked down.

The plaster statue had opened its glowing green eyes and was staring back at him.

"Looks like another talented wizard has found his way into Slytherin."
