Chapter 37 - chapter 37

As the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, it must be acknowledged that Quirrell's repertoire of spells is quite extensive. Deviro's eyes sparkled upon seeing the general counter-curse, Finite Incantatem. If Quirrell could cover this spell in class, then enduring the garlic-laden atmosphere of the classroom might just be bearable.

Of course, they were still first-year students. Most couldn't even perform the simplest Levitation Charm properly. Including Finite Incantatem in their syllabus was unlikely. However, for the upper years, it wasn't out of the question.

Deviro's lips curled slightly. He certainly couldn't continue taking Defense Against the Dark Arts with the younger students. For this subject, he intended to apply to join the older students' classes!

Although, according to the original narrative, Quirrell's teaching prowess wasn't exceptional, he should at least demonstrate spells in class, shouldn't he? Otherwise, wouldn't the students preparing for their O.W.L.s or N.E.W.T.s be relentless in their criticism? Young wizards wouldn't be careless when it came to their futures.

As Deviro pondered this, a second panel suddenly appeared before him.

Name: Voldemort (Tom Riddle)

Age: Sixty-five years

Spell Library:Avada Kedavra (Unmatched), Imperius Curse (Unmatched), Cruciatus Curse (Unmatched)...

Traits: Dark Lord (Red/Fragmented), Heir of Slytherin (Red), Undying Body (Gold), Mind Manipulator (Purple), Fragmented Body (Purple), Born Ruthless (Purple)

Dark Lord (Red/Fragmented): You are destined to become a terrifying Dark Lord, possessing immense charisma and unparalleled talent in dark magic. Countless followers will rally behind you. However, due to an extremely powerful magic, your destiny is shattered, and an indescribable shadow looms over you, leading to eventual destruction.

Heir of Slytherin (Red): One of the most outstanding wizards in history, you are the Heir of Slytherin, inheriting many of his abilities, most notably an absolute desire for honor. The more honor you attain, the stronger you become. Conversely, the more you are despised, the weaker you become.

Undying Body (Gold): As the creator of Horcruxes, one of the most evil dark magic creations, you possess an undying body. Even if your physical form is annihilated, your essence persists. But remember the price you paid.

Born Ruthless (Purple): A tragic background and poor upbringing have rendered you incapable of experiencing ordinary emotions or empathizing with others.

Mind Manipulator (Purple): Growing up in a treacherous environment, you developed the ability to perceive the inner desires of others, aiding in gathering followers. However, endless dark magic experiments have eroded your heart, weakening this perception over time.

Fragmented Body (Purple): Despite possessing an undying body, you were struck by one of the most potent dark magics. Your physical form no longer exists, and your spirit is severely damaged. Without attaching to other living beings, survival is impossible.

Oh my goodness! This must be the panel of Voldemort currently possessing Quirrell. It's evident that Voldemort is in quite a miserable state right now! A mischievous smirk appeared on Deviro's lips, but he quickly restrained himself.

He noticed significant differences in this Voldemort's description compared to the Horcrux in the Room of Requirement. Firstly, the Dark Lord trait here is red, albeit fragmented. The description suggests this corresponds to the different experiences of these two soul fragments.

The one placed in the Room of Requirement, though stationary, has begun to decay. However, it hasn't undergone as many subsequent encounters and has merged with Ravenclaw's Diadem, gaining considerable knowledge. Its description indicates an uncertain future.

In contrast, this Voldemort, clinging to Quirrell for survival, is described as shrouded in an indescribable shadow. Deviro's pupils contracted upon reading the term "indescribable." He had only encountered this word when the system described Deviro in the microscopic world!

What's going on? Could it be that Voldemort also ventured into the microscopic world and was attacked? This must have occurred after transforming Ravenclaw's Diadem into a Horcrux! Deviro silently stored this information. It seemed there was a new avenue to explore regarding this indescribable existence in the future.

Dark Magic!

Continuing his examination, Deviro was extremely envious of the Heir of Slytherin trait. This appeared to be the most significant difference between the soul fragment in the Horcrux and Voldemort's main body. The effect was remarkable and aligned perfectly with Deviro's future plans.

Deviro intended to gain fame in the magical world through various inventions and creations, then teach at various magical schools across Europe. This would allow him to explore different institutions, obtain trait upgrade cards, and acquire the wisdom of the sages. If possible, he would consider other continents as well.

Combining this trait would be akin to adding wings to a tiger! Moreover, possessing this trait would grant Deviro the ability to speak Parseltongue. It was essentially an enhanced, side-effect-free version of the Horcrux trait!

Before entering Hogwarts, Deviro had contemplated learning Parseltongue. After all, the Chamber of Secrets was part of Hogwarts and would count towards his exploration progress. Now, the issue was perfectly resolved!

Decision made! This would be the next red trait to be copied! Deviro happily added it to his shopping cart.

As for the subsequent traits, Deviro could only lament: Old Voldemort, you're truly pitiful! Engaging in dark magic and disfiguring yourself is one thing, but losing your intellect as well? Deviro was genuinely astonished.

However, he didn't plan to report Quirrell immediately. He needed to wait until the cooldown for loading and copying the red trait expired. After extracting all valuable traits and learning all the spells, he would then decide how to handle the situation.

With his action plan finalized, Deviro began attending class in high spirits. Even the pervasive garlic smell seemed fragrant. During class, he actively participated, competing with Hermione to earn ten points for his house.

After class, Deviro expressed his desire to Quirrell to attend the upper years' classes and mentioned his willingness to take a test. Quirrell, with a shrill voice, smiled and agreed, asking Deviro to meet him alone after class on Thursday afternoon to discuss the matter. Deviro gladly accepted.

Next was Herbology class. As usual, Deviro earned ten points from Professor Sprout. Then came the lunch break. The first class in the afternoon was History of Magic.

Oh dear! This was undoubtedly the most excruciating class Deviro had attended since arriving at the school. Having not slept well the previous night, Professor Binns's monotonous lecturing style made Deviro suspect he had cast some sort of spell
