Chapter 6 - chapter five: feeling's

"NO ONE HAS A CRUSH AYA!" I suddenly shouted. I'm so stressed..

The air seem too thick when I think Aya will find out that I have a crush on her friend..

I looked at Mang Joshua with a pitiful look..

Please! I hope he understand.

Please don't tell Aya..

I would rather die than have her find out. I'll also die of embarrassment because she'll tell that person..

"It's my child, Ma'am," Mang Joshua replied with a laughter, and he was looking at me.

This is making me want to cry.

Mang Joshua, please don't look at me like that, she might notice.

Her radar is quite strong.. Aya glanced at me with one eyebrow raised.

See? She definitely sense something ..

"Why do You look guilty, sis,?" She ask. She faced me and stared intensely..

" Hmmm, I smell something fishy. It seems like there's something fishy inside the car." She suddenly turned to Mang Joshua.

"Is that you, Mang Joshua?" Mang Joshua laughed and replied,

"Oh no, Ma'am, I'm not fond of fish.."

"You're right, it's definitely not you, that fishy scent,It's way too close to me." And she looked at me in slow motion with one eyebrow raised..

"I think it's you, sis."

"W-what are you talking about, Aya?" Why am I stuttering? I'M NOT GUILTY!!

Aya's face suddenly turned sour, and she abruptly turned away from me with a scowl on her face. I was surprised. I thought she would tease me.

"What happened to you? Why did you suddenly look grumpy?" I asked her, puzzled.

"Isn't it obvious? when I have a crush, I tell you right away. But you have a crush, you told Mang Joshua first," she said, sounding a bit sulky.

I felt embarrassed and glanced at her. "What am I supposed to say to you? I don't have a crush..." I answered weakly.

She shot me a glare and faced me again. "I'll find out who it is, sis. And you'll regret it!" she threatened, raising her voice.

Mang Joshua just laughed. "Are we leaving, ma'am?" he asked.

I was about to answer yes when Aya interrupted. "Later, Mang Joshua. I'm still waiting for someone..."

"Who are you waiting Aya? I'm already here?" I ask, puzzled.

"Of course it's my new crush. They're already my friends! And we agreed earlier to go to the mall when class ended" she replied nonchalantly.

But to me, that felt like a storm — a whirlwind, in fact.

I panicked and suddenly pushed her towards the door.

"If that's the case, then step outside first, I'll get Mang Joshua to send me home first!" I said in a flustered tone.

"Wait a minute, sis!. Why are you going to go home first? Mang Joshua can stop us in the mall. It's on the way home. we can just stop by the mall?" she asked, still confused.

Mang Joshua was laughing, which made Aya glance at him. "You seem to know the reason, Mang Joshua," she said.

"A.ah, he doesn't know, Aya! I really need to go because I can't wait any longer! I need to use the bathroom ! Yeah that's why!?"What kind of reason did my brain make? It's utterly pointless.

Aya was surprised by what I said. "Well, that's a first for me. I've never heard you say you need to go home to relieve yourself," she remarked, holding my face and turning me to face a direction. "We have a restroom behind the guardhouse at our school gate. It's quite near," she pointed out.

"Ah, um..." My brain seem to be empty and can't come up with any reason.

"That fishy smell is back again. Can you give me a reasonable explanation sis!?"She looked at me and scrutinised my appearance closely.

I couldn't look her straight in the eye.

Her eyes widened.

I spoke up immediately, "Don't say anything, Aya. I'm embarrassed to tell you..."

"Could it be..." she said teasingly, with a cheeky smile.

"Whatever you're thinking, it's not true!" I denied.

"Hahaha we'll find out about that."

After she said that, she looked at Mang Joshua and spoke again, "Mang Joshua, I'm just going to see my friends, okay? They will join us and just drop us off at the mall."

"And please don't take my sister home firsts, theres something u need to clear, so she need to ride with us!" She nudged my shoulder before getting out.

"What am I going to do now!"
