Chapter 4 - My partner

4-

Have you ever wondered why successful business people are successful? Is it their expertise, their hard work, their smart decisions, their capital, or their family background?

For me, there's only one thing that paves the way to success: connection.

If you've lived long enough and experienced enough, you'll see many people who are talented and hardworking but don't succeed because they lack connections. You'll also see many people who lack both effort and talent but have good connections and do well.

Luckily, I have both effort, talent, and connections. Above all, I have the drive to seek out good connections. I like to put myself in places where I can find opportunities. I rarely miss social gatherings, both those that cost money and those that require effort to approach people who don't have a particular impression of each other.

I may seem repulsive to my competitors and to everyone who envies me, but only the losers have the right to complain about unfair judging. The winners just stay quiet and wait to receive the gold medal.

I know what people in the industry like to whisper behind my back. They say I use my charm to seduce wealthy women to build business connections. It's not wrong, and it's not entirely right either. From my perspective, both I and those ladies meet in the middle to seek mutual benefits.

If others like to play golf with influential figures, politicians, and powerful people, what's the difference if I like to have dinner with wealthy women? Everyone has their own way.
