Chapter 3 - "S1 ep 2 The World Doesn’t Save the Weak—It Buries Them."

Season 1— Episode 3: "The Wild Boy"

The rustling leaves whispered danger.

Surya lay on the forest floor, skin pale, breath shallow, heart pounding. His body… broken. His soul… hollow.

Ahead of him, a predator emerged — a wild cheetah — eyes glowing with cold hunger. Each step it took was deliberate, slow, a cruel countdown to death.

Surya's limbs refused to move.

His mind screamed.

But his body remained still — frozen, useless.

The cheetah crept closer, its claws slicing the dry ground with each stride. Its fangs glinted under the little light that pierced through the thick forest canopy.

It was no longer a beast… it was death itself.

Tears blurred Surya's eyes. He remembered the

Words of Sai that people don't care strangers.

His voice trembled as he whispered into the void,

> "Is this… the end? Am I going to die like this…? Alone…? Why? Why did this happen to me…? I was never strong. That's the truth. Weak ones… die first…"

The cheetah stopped. It arched its back.

Then — it leapt.

But before death could sink its fangs—

CRASH!

A blur shot through the trees like lightning.

A body slammed into the cheetah mid-air, breaking its flight.

Dust exploded. Leaves flew.

The cheetah growled, tumbled across the ground, and stood again, snarling — confused. It faced its new opponent.

Standing before Surya was a boy.

Not older than 17.

He wore a ragged, dirt-stained shirt . His muscles were lean, honed by hardship. His long, messy hair danced with the wind, partly hiding one eye.

The eye that was visible held no emotion—just primal instinct. Wild… unreadable.

This boy didn't just look like he belonged in the forest.

He was the forest.

Without a word, he launched at the cheetah.

His movements — inhuman. Fast. Calculated. Unpredictable.

He slammed a punch straight into the cheetah's snout.

CRACK.

The beast yelped, rolled across the dirt, and bolted back into the shadows it came from.

Silence fell.

Surya's lips trembled as he spoke, "W-Who are you…?"

The boy turned slightly.

> "Hmm. You're still alive. That's rare… I'm Aditya."

Before Surya could respond, darkness clouded his vision. His body began to collapse.

But Aditya grabbed his arm.

> "If you want to live… follow me."

Surya hesitated.

This boy… was terrifying. But something in his tone — not threatening, but commanding — pulled him to obey.

With trembling steps, Surya followed.

---

Deep inside the forest…

The trees grew thicker. Light struggled to reach this place.

The ground was damp. The air — heavy with silence.

This part of the forest was untouched by man. Forgotten.

"Do you live here?" Surya asked softly, still gasping for breath.

Aditya didn't turn back. His voice was cold.

> "This forest isn't my house.

It's my home.

I was weak once, just like you. I lost everything.

So I came here… to survive. To become powerful."

His words struck Surya like a stone.

'He was weak too? And now he's… this?'

Suddenly—

WHOOSH!

A knife flashed through the air — right at Surya.

He barely dodged. The blade grazed his cheek, drawing blood.

"What the hell are you doing!?" Surya yelled, staggering.

Aditya's eyes met his — still emotionless.

> "If I was your enemy… you'd be dead again.

In this forest, you hesitate — you die."

Surya clenched his fist. He wanted to scream, to run… but Aditya was right.

This wasn't school.

This wasn't home.

This was survival.

After an hour of walking, they reached a clearing. No animals. No birds. Only thick roots, fallen leaves, and silence.

Aditya tossed him a small wild apple.

> "Eat. You'll need it. Decide now…

Do you want to survive? Or keep waiting for death?"

Surya bit into the apple slowly. His lips trembled… but then steadied.

He spoke, voice no longer a whisper.

> "I don't want to live meaninglessly anymore.

I'll become strong.

Stronger than I ever imagined. I'll kill every last Wormen.

They destroyed my life…

Now I'll destroy them."

Aditya smirked faintly for the first time.

> "Well said. From now on, there's no turning back."

That night, Surya felt something he never had before.

Purpose.

He wasn't just breathing anymore.

He was alive.

---

Aditya:

> "Tomorrow — no mercy. No rest.

Just the quest.

Do or die.

Sleep well…

because tonight is the last good sleep you'll ever get."

---

Elsewhere…

Dark clouds loomed over the refugee camp.

The night was still — too still.

Families slept under broken shelters.

Children clutched their mothers. Soldiers stood at watch, but even their weapons trembled.

The Wormen were on the move.

Drawn by the scent of fear… of blood… of life.

A storm was coming.

But no one knew how soon.

---

Next Morning

The jungle awakened.

Birds chirped. Leaves rustled. Rivers whispered. The sun pierced through the trees like golden spears.

Aditya stood over Surya, tossing water on his face.

> "Wake up. It's time."

Surya groaned but stood.

His training began — brutally.

Two 10kg rocks tied to each leg.

> "Run."

At first, Surya did fine. His will was strong.

But by the 10th round of 500 m long path , his breath was broken.

By the 15th — he staggered. Vomiting. Vision blurred.

> "I can't… I can't anymore…"

Aditya's voice was ice.

> "Then die.

This world doesn't need weaklings.

Weakness… is death."

Surya's heart cracked at those words.

Not from pain.

But from truth.

His fists clenched. His eyes burned.

He screamed and ran one more lap — the 16th.

Every muscle cried. But he didn't stop.

At the finish line — he collapsed.

Aditya caught him before he hit the ground.

> "Not enough," he whispered. "This is just the beginning.

The war is waiting."

---

Time passed…

Day bled into night.

Week bled into week.

Surya trained. He bled. He screamed. He fell.

But he rose — again and again.

He wasn't the same boy anymore.

He was becoming something else.

Something dangerous.

---

Meanwhile…

Midnight fell over the refugee camp.

Quiet. Calm.

Too calm.

Then — the earth shook.

Pebbles bounced. Screams echoed. Dust danced.

> "They're coming!" someone shouted.

Chaos erupted.

People ran. Screamed. Pushed.

Soldiers opened the basement gates. People flooded in.

But one child… was left outside.

His mother screamed from inside.

> "Please! Someone save my child! Please! I already lost my husband!"

But no one moved.

Then — silence.

CRUNCH.

The mother's scream echoed through the night… before she collapsed.

Another soul lost.

Another moment of horror…

And this… was only the beginning.

To be continued...
