Chapter 5 - S1 EP 5 BEANEATH THE SKIN OF THE EARTH

Season1 — Episode 5: "Beneath the Skin of the Earth"

[Scene opens: Outside the hidden bunker – Nightfall]

Thirteen Wormen.

Starving. Twisted. Eyes blood-red with primal hunger. They circled the dense area where the underground bunker lay hidden. They hadn't eaten in three weeks. And now, they could smell blood—but couldn't locate the source.

One of them, hunched and skeletal, dropped to all fours, sniffing the dirt like a beast possessed. It let out a low growl, then suddenly began jumping and slamming its feet into the ground, sending tremors through the earth.

Inside the bunker, people froze as the ground shook under their feet. Children screamed. Women clutched onto walls. Soldiers cocked their rifles but knew—there was no exit. The Wormen had found them.

Outside, three more Wormen mimicked the first, hammering the earth with mindless, terrifying rhythm. Others began pacing and growling across the forest floor above, clawing at tree roots and soil.

[Scene shifts: Deep forest – mid-training]

Aditya was now training Surya in advanced weapon combat. Long-range slashes, counter maneuvers, blade parries—he had taught Surya everything from rhythm to ruthlessness.

Aditya threw a sword at Surya. "Trees," he said. "They're not Wormen. But their strength is close."

Without hesitation, Surya ran up the bark of a tree, then leapt to a branch. He cut it off while standing on it, leapt mid-fall, and landed on another branch—each strike fast, clean, precise. Leaves fell like feathers.

Aditya, folding his arms, gave a faint nod.

> Aditya: "You're fast. Stronger than most men now. But can you kill a Wormen?"

> Surya (coldly): "That answer will come… when I'm standing face to face with one."

Aditya smirked and tossed him a black cloth mask.

> Aditya: "Then wear this. You're no longer the boy who was stabbed and left to die.

> Surya: "Why the mask?"

> Aditya (quietly): "Because our enemy may not always be monsters. It could be human… or something worse. We must be ready for both."

Surya inserted a crystal white sword into his sheath. Then loaded small explosives into hidden pouches—taken from the old military base ruins.

The silence in the forest broke when the air carried a rumble. Not from above—but below.

---

[Cut to: Underground Bunker – same time]

The people's fear had evolved into hopelessness. Their skin pale from lack of sunlight. Their voices gone hoarse from screams. Many had stopped praying. Even hope had limits.

Suddenly—

CRASH!!

The ceiling shattered.

Three Wormen dropped into the bunker like falling demons.

Panic exploded. People ran in every direction, screaming, trampling each other. A soldier opened fire—bullets tore into the Wormen—but they didn't even flinch.

One Wormen caught the soldier, stared into his eyes—and swallowed him whole.

Another tore through the crowd, grabbing a young man by the leg. He screamed. He was pulled upwards—slowly—toward a gaping mouth filled with jagged, yellow teeth.

Everyone froze. Their bodies locked by terror. Death had entered.

Suddenly—

Blood rained from above.

Not the young man's.

But from the Wormen's severed hand—sliced cleanly.

The Wormen roared in agony.

And through the falling blood… Surya

 appeared.

To be continued...

Episode Ended

Who taught the Wormen to dig and sense humans beneath the earth? Could they be evolving?

Is there something deeper behind Aditya's warning: "Our enemies may not be monsters"?

"From beneath the soil they came—

But from above… death descended."

"They were the hunters.

But tonight…

The hunted learns fear."
