"Was good momma! Did everyone behave themselves? Have you packed your things? Do you need any help?" He was moving back to the country mostly because of his parents; they had been abroad for way too long, and it was time to retire and stay in some nice farmland to enjoy their free time.
He actually knew they were bored and tired of staying abroad because all they could do was stay indoors, but back home with farmland, she could plant flowers, have a huge backyard garden, meet up for coffee with her friends, or play mahjong to pass the time.
"Yeah, I have packed most of the things; you don't have to worry about me; just worry for yourself and wife; I will see what's happening in the kitchen." She gently tapped her hands on his shoulders as she got up and walked over to the kitchen.
Lu Zhi Hao who was left behind all alone, sat there comfortably before adding volume to the TV and went on watching the movie they were just watching.

Lu Wan Ruyi got over to the bedroom door and pushed it in getting inside since it wasn't locked. She switched the lights on and walked into the bedroom letting her eyes wander around the bedroom.
It was cold and quiet as no one had been inside, it just looked the same as she saw it in the morning. She walked over to the closet so that she could store the gemstone in one of the cupboards when she suddenly heard tiny whimpers echoing from the deeper ends in the darkness.
She walked over to the back, switched the lights on, and noticed Lu Ting Zhou curled up in a corner, crying silently.
"Ting Zhou? What happened? Why are you crying here? When did you return?" She had already felt it was odd that Lu Ting Zhou hadn't called her for the last two days because she knew he would call her every, after a few hours, not only to inquire how she was but also to tell her what was going on around him.
She sat down on the floor, dragging him into her arms and hugging him tightly while she gently tapped his back, trying to comfort him before they could talk.
"Momma... I failed. I really failed... I should have listened to you..." He cried his heart out, only in her presence could he coil back and act like a baby he was. Only with her did he feel safe to pour out all his shortcomings and grievances he has faced. Her arms were the safest place to be.
"I told you, that's a dangerous venture to get yourself involved in, but you never listened! But why cry here after it has failed? You need to think of a solution to salvage the situation as soon as faster! This is how it's... You need to be strategic. You can't let tears solve the situation because they would never, and if this is how you handle the situation, you will never be able to stand up." She loosened and held his face facing him while teaching him what he was supposed to be doing. She didn't think this was the way to handle such situations when things go wrong. You can't hide and expect things to solve themselves out.
"I lost the entire cargo mom, I had invested all my money, everything there and it just sunk like that... I lost everything. Everything... " He couldn't stop crying, no matter how much his mother reprimanded him. He knew her reasons were valid, but when it came to these scenarios, he was a novice and naive. This wasn't a marketplace but a complicated field of business to handle.
This was a place where most businessmen would swallow other businesses be it through legal means or stealing wholly. How could her naive boy think it was an easy place to handle and venture into?
"Have you tracked it down and realized it completely sunk?" It wasn't easy to lose such a huge cargo all of a sudden and it had to sink in the ocean. Unless the entire ship sank with all the cargo, and there's no way only his cargo could sink and vanish like that. She didn't get to hear anything on social media platforms or some news that a cargo ship had sunk.
