Chapter 17 - Chapter 17; How was your trip?

She was glad that their family was thriving and she didn't have anything to complain about. Seeing the kids get along like this, she knew, it was because of how good his son had married. It was because of her daughter-in-law that they were having such a smooth life.

Lu Zhi Hao walked over and placed her down on the couch before sitting beside her and getting the shopping bag she was carrying. Seeing it was only one shopping bag and not numerous as usual, they were disheartened and you could see those thin lips pouting and grumbling in tiny murmurs. Lu Zhi Hao slightly smirked wondering if it was because of their close bond with their adopted mother that they behaved like her or it was just that they were the same and they had the same facial expressions.

"You only remember Mom. She is the only one in your heart and mind." Lu Zi Zhen's grumpy voice echoed as he slumped back down on the couch ignoring him. Lu Ting Cheng wasn't left behind; he also turned away, ignoring the two of them who were acting all lovey-dovey in front of them.

"Everyone has a gift, you do know this time where I visited, so, it can be anything that's just small in size and can fit just one shopping bag for all of you." He dipped his hand inside the shopping bag and got another leather bag packed inside the shopping bag. He got the leather bag and opened it up.

Inside were several gemstones he had gotten, and they were precious ones; rarely could they easily be found. They were nicely wrapped up.

After opening the leather bag, he picked up the first round gemstone, it was of palm size heavy dark blue diamond that could weigh around 1kg or more and he tossed it over to Lu Zi Zhen who immediately caught it with both of his hands.

"Jeez Daddy! Be careful... Careful... Careful." Luckily, he caught it, and you could see his eyes shining with a definitely different sparkle of awesomeness and admiration. Yes, this boy loves gemstones and has a huge collection of them that could probably support them for a lifetime without worrying about lacking money.

Lu Zhi Hao gave everyone the same blue diamond like he was distributing some peanuts he had bought cheaply in the market.

"Thank you, Daddy... You are the best." Lu Zi Zhen rushed over and kissed him on the cheek before rushing upstairs to store it away in his things as they were packing and moving back home tomorrow or the following day. Probably as soon as they were done with their meetings.

"Thank you, Daddy... I now have something to work on, momma; you do owe me two jewelry designs." Yes, Lu Ting Cheng was obsessed with designing exquisite pieces of jewelry. He had a hand in it and would always come out perfectly well and captivating. If he made something for the month, you would have to wait until he desires to make another piece before it gets into the market and it would always fetch him an enormous amount of money.

"I haven't thought of anything, give me time." She had actually hadn't created any image in her mind to draw it down, so, she hadn't had time to imagine. These things needed inspiration and also when she was free to think of something.

"All right, I will be waiting for you, Momma. Just take your time." He went upstairs to store his gemstone away too. He also had his own collection, and he normally used these gemstones to make a little more than enough cash. He preferred money and Lu Zi Zhen preferred gemstones.

Lu Zhi Hao gave another stone to his mother and another piece to keep for his father who hadn't returned from a business trip.

The other stones remaining in the leather bag went for his wife and another one for Lu Ting Zhou who was on a trip.

"Let me put his gemstones in his bedroom since it's open. I know the password to his safe." Lu Wan Ruyi picked a stone from the leather bag while she got up and progressed over to the stairs going up to Lu Ting Zhou's bedroom. They were all tested equally and everyone would receive the same size of gemstones or gifts. They have never been biased.

Lu Zhi Hao and his mother were left seated on the couch, chatting and catching up.

"How was your trip?" Mo Zhiqian was happy to see the family peacefully relating with each other. They rarely have any disagreements or arguments. Their family was one of the most harmonious ones one could ever come across.
