Chapter 23 - Serious Punch! The Finale

Bob crashed to the ground, creating a massive crater upon impact. Dirt and rocks flew everywhere, and dust filled the air. But before Bob could steady himself, dozens of lions, carrying a ferocious aura, pounced toward the spot where he had landed.

In an instant, Bob's body was completely buried under the deluge of seawater and soil, at the location where he had been. A mound of earth, dozens of meters high and about ten meters in diameter, quickly formed. Bob's figure had vanished from sight.

Seeing this, Whitebeard on the ship sensed something was wrong. His eyes filled with concern. Without a second thought, Whitebeard tossed a small boat down from the Moby Dick. His towering figure prepared to board it and rush to Bob's rescue.

But suddenly, from beneath the mound of earth, a terrifying force erupted.

Boom! Rumble!!

The deep, resonant sounds echoed continuously, like a voice from the depths of hell. The entire island trembled.

In the next moment, from within the mound of earth, a familiar figure burst through the soil, shooting out. It was Bob, who had been buried.

At this moment, his body was covered in mud and countless small wounds. Blood dripped from his fingers. This strike had finally breached Bob's formidable defenses.

However, upon seeing Bob emerge from the earth Wang Zhi's eyes were filled with shock. Having been directly hit by Golden Lion's attack, he had assumed Bob would be buried and unable to escape.

To his surprise, not only had Bob broken free through sheer brute force, but he had also sustained only minor injuries. Though Bob looked battered and bloodied, those were merely superficial wounds—nothing that had damaged his bones or tendons.

"Is he even human?" Wang Zhi muttered in a daze, staring at Bob's upright figure on the battlefield.

"Though I hate to admit it, based on the strength Bob has shown, I probably won't stand a chance against him!" Silver Axe sighed, speaking with resignation. For a commander of the Rocks Pirates to say such a thing was a testament to Bob's immense power.

With his physical prowess, even landing a hit on Bob was an incredibly difficult task.

"Gurararara!"

"Bob never disappoints!" Whitebeard remarked, seeing Bob back in sight. He retrieved the small boat he had just thrown down while praising Bob repeatedly. His worries completely vanished.

"Linlin knew Bob could do it!" Charlotte Linlin laughed, her gaze growing fonder as she looked at Bob. Streusen, standing beside her, glanced at Linlin. Then at Bob in the distance.

Charlotte Linlin's habit of falling for one person after another was truly hard to change.

Meanwhile, in Golden Lion's field of vision...

Bob stood atop the devastated mound of earth, his clothes tattered, looking disheveled and covered in blood. However, Golden Lion felt no joy at this sight because that had been his strongest attack. Yet it had failed to seriously injure Bob. This was something he found hard to accept.

After all, with that move, he had killed many powerful foes—those who were engulfed by it would be crushed into pulp. Though Golden Lion knew Bob's physique is insane, it should have been enough to render him unable to fight. But reality was...

Feeling Golden Lion's gaze bob raised his eyes to meet it, a smirk curling his lips.

In the next moment, Bob stepped on a pile of rocks and soil, his body suddenly sinking, and as the earth and stones flew apart, he soared into the air.

The pile of soil beneath his feet exploded, sending shards of earth flying like bullets in all directions. At this moment, Golden Lion, who had been frequently unleashing powerful moves, was already drenched in sweat. He wasn't a monster like Bob.

Due to the constant use of his techniques, his stamina was rapidly declining. Seeing Bob burst forth from the ground, he was even more alarmed. The two swords in his hands, coated with Conqueror's Haki, crossed in front of his chest.

In the next moment, Bob, now right in front of him, dispelled the Armament Haki from his body, concentrating all of it into his fist. In the next second, a penetrating force traveled from Bob's spine to his right fist, then erupted with a resounding clang!!

"Serious Punch"

A massive sound echoed. Even the pirates on the ship a hundred meters away heard it clearly. Their eardrums felt like they were about to bleed from the shock. As the sound spread, Golden Lion's body could no longer remain steady.

A tremendous force transmitted through his swords. In an instant, the Golden Lion plummeted like a falling meteor straight from the sky to the ground.

"Boom!!"

The sound reverberated. On the ground, a human-shaped crater appeared, with cracks spreading out densely around it. Climbing out of the crater, the Golden Lion was no longer the imposing figure he once was. His golden hair was covered in dirt, his black robe torn by the fierce wind, and his signature cigar was nowhere to be found.

Several wounds were still bleeding, and his face was extremely grim.

"You're really a monster! Cough, cough..."

The Golden Lion cursed, then began to cough violently. He didn't have Bob's physique; this single strike had already taken a toll on him! On the other side...

Bob landed on the ground. Though he didn't look much better than the Golden Lion, he clearly still had strength left. Looking at the disheveled Golden Lion, he slowly said,

"It's not over yet!"

"You had a lot of fun playing with me earlier; now it's my turn!" Bob gave a sinister smile. As soon as he finished speaking, he flashed forward, appearing right in front of the Golden Lion.

His fists aimed directly at the Golden Lion's face. Having witnessed the power of Bob's fists, the Golden Lion was terrified, now feeling extremely weak. He didn't want to clash head-on. His first thought was to use his Devil Fruit ability to leap into the air, but he found that his stamina was insufficient, and he couldn't activate it.

In desperation, he could only block with the two swords in his hands, even forgetting to use Haki. After a while, the Golden Lion didn't feel any immense force on his swords. Then, he felt his hands empty.

Opening his eyes, he saw that Oto and Kogarashi were no longer in his hands. Looking back at Bob, he found the two swords now in Bob's grasp.
