Chapter 22 - A token of love

If you have the guts, go and snatch it from Natalie.

Let's see if she would like a man who takes things back after giving them away.

While William was calculating his next move, Natalie was also deep in thought.

Did Logan really want that painting?

She recalled how he'd behaved during the auction. At first, she thought he was just helping her raise the price, but now it seemed she might've misunderstood.

Sure, holding on to it might yield a billion in two years, but cashing in now seemed like the smarter choice—especially with the risk of William trying to take it back.

And if she managed to make Logan see her as reasonable, he might even see her as a friend. That would be a win.

With that in mind, she spoke up.

"If you really like the painting, Logan, I'm willing to part with it."

William: "???"

Logan raised a brow. "Oh? How much do you want for it?"
