Chapter 6 - chapter-6 first fight

Third-person POV

As Leekon settled into his fighting stance, he taunted, "Let's dance, you ugly thing," his gaze locked on his opponent's crimson eyes. The Saibamen responded with a guttural grunt.

Quirik~~

Immediately, it lunged forward, arms outstretched, claws aimed to pierce. A grin spread across the young Saiyan's face as he mirrored the creature's advance, leaping forward just as they were about to collide. The Saibaman aimed its attack at Leekon's throat, but relying purely on instinct, the untrained boy swiftly dodged, ducking beneath the strike and delivering a solid punch to the Saibaman's abdomen. The creature grunted again, more in fury than in pain.

"Haha!" the boy chuckled after the blow landed.

QUIREKK~~

Leekon launched another attack, this time targeting the Saibaman's chin. The creature deflected it and retaliated, its claws slashing towards Leekon's chest. The boy tried to evade, but the strike caught his unprotected shoulder, leaving three angry red gashes. Despite the injury, Leekon's smile widened, seemingly even more exhilarated.

He sprang backward, creating distance. "Time for a little test," Leekon declared, raising his hand towards the Saibaman. A bright light began to coalesce in his palm, intensifying as if forming a dangerous, tangible energy. Instead, a weak, small ki blast was discharged, yet it struck the creature. "Weaker than I anticipated," Leekon muttered.

This generated a cloud of smoke and dust. Through the haze, Leekon saw pinpricks of green light forming before a barrage of ki blasts hurtled towards him. He crossed his arms in an X, bracing for impact.

ugh~~

The young Saiyan grunted in pain as the energy attacks scorched his arms, leaving burns. A bizarre laugh escaped the Saibaman as it witnessed its opponent's agony.

When Leekon looked up, the Saibaman was already upon him, claws extended in a vertical strike. Leekon dodged, causing the creature's claws to rake across the ground, carving grooves into the rock. The Saibaman snapped its gaze back to its target, but its eyes widened in shock: two feet, glowing with Leekon's ki, were rocketing towards it. The ki-infused kicks connected, sending the Saibaman hurtling across the arena until it slammed into and became embedded in a distant rock. Seizing the opportunity, Leekon unleashed another ki blast. "This will hurt you more than it hurts me," he said with a bloodthirsty grin. This time, the ki blast was far more potent and accurate.

The blast obliterated the rock, and Leekon scanned the debris for any sign of movement. Finding none, he turned to his mother, seeking confirmation that the fight was over. She remained silent. In that moment of distraction, the ground suddenly fractured, and the Saibaman erupted from below, its attack aimed at Leekon's torso, tearing through his abdomen and up his left chest, leaving three gruesome wounds. Fortunately, his intestines remained intact, and no vital organs were struck.

Blood poured onto the ground and coated the Saibaman, creating a macabre scene, making the already hideous creature even more repulsive.

With a cry of pain and rage – seemingly directed at himself for his foolish lapse in guard, rather than his opponent – the boy unleashed a flurry of punches at the Saibaman. They were savage, primal blows, lacking the finesse of a martial artist or a trained warrior, the desperate defense of a wounded animal. His eyes were fixed on the Saibaman, glazed with a predatory intensity. Each punch landed with sickening thuds, his strength escalating with his fury and the intoxicating thrill of combat. Yet, he continued to bleed, his body growing weary despite his disregard for the pain.

Sensing an opening, the Saibaman leaped back, disengaging from the brutal assault.

Panting heavily, Leekon stared at his opponent. Despite purple blood oozing from its every pore, the Saibaman was in better shape than he was. Leekon had lost a significant amount of blood from his gaping wounds, and his body was nearing exhaustion. Yet, even in this dire situation, the boy resumed his fighting stance, a bloodied grin plastered on his face as he faced his adversary.

They locked eyes, and simultaneously charged. The Saibaman's claws extended once more, while Leekon's fists remained clenched. But before their attacks could connect, a figure appeared behind the Saibaman, a hand clamping down on its head. With a sickening crunch, the Saibaman's head exploded like a watermelon in an anime beach episode.

The boy glared with childish fury at the one who had killed the Saibaman, his opponent, his plaything.

Then, Vanie's voice cut through the air, loud, serious, and imbued with the authority not only of a mother, but of someone who had extinguished countless civilizations: "Enough, boy. Never turn your back on an enemy you haven't confirmed is defeated." Her gaze bore into him, conveying that she wouldn't hesitate to etch this lesson into his mind in the most agonizing way imaginable.

He retorted, "I know, I was an idiot, but I was still having fun because you kil—" Before he could finish, he stumbled forward, and his mother caught him. "I understand," he mumbled, his voice weak. She scooped him up in her arms. "I'll take you to the infirmary. Once you recover, we'll train other things. But for now, you can sleep." The young Saiyan gave a slight nod and closed his eyes.

As Vanie carried him towards the infirmary, she murmured, "You are strong, boy, and I will forge you into the greatest Saiyan warrior our race has ever known."
