By the time, Roja opened his eyes, he was greeted by the unfamiliar ceiling.
"You're awake," said Sakura
Only 5 minutes have passed since he passed out of fear.
"Boss, I… I don't think I can take this," Roja woke his body up and said weakly.
"It's just the beginning and you're quitting already? Besides, I'm not telling you to fight that thing," Sakura encouraged him.
Although he didn't want to deal with many customers that'd reduce his sleep time, he needed to make a sale or else he couldn't survive long with a measly 300,000 berries.
"Now, go back to your computer. The computer timer is stopped when you're not accessing it. You still have two hours remaining,"
Sakura's whispering was like a devil unwilling to let him escape from the cage.
Terrified, Roja headed back to the computer.
…
Upon sitting in the gaming chair, Roja's consciousness was sent back inside the game.
There, he once again encountered the black square.
If one looked at it from the outside of the screen, Evnything was nothing but a black square with wings attached to it.
However, when one faced it in front, its colossal body combined with the countless eyes in its wings looking everywhere was intimidating.
Evnything's body was completely black. It was nothing, yet it could turn into everything as the human brain filled in the gap of the lacking information.
What was more terrifying than human imagination? To Roja, Evnything had turned into his worst nightmare he wanted to run away from.
From Evnything's body, tentacles protruded out, extending to capture his body.
"Aaah," Roja let out a deafening scream as he tried to run away but his body refused to move from the spot.
Just as he thought he would be captured, his body suddenly floated, escaping the atmosphere.
In the dark universe, Roja's body alone drifted away.
[Siper Smash Bros. Universes]
Amidst the countless stars, the title logo popped out indicating he was inside the game.
There, two options appeared.
[Campaign Mode]
[Online Mode]
Out of two, [Online Mode] was blackened out indicating it was out of use.
"Try choosing campaign mode," Sakura mentioned but the voice outside the screen didn't reach inside.
Fortunately, Roja was slowly getting used to gaming as he chose the campaign mode.
At that moment, his body launched away at tremendous speed.
In the blink of an eye, he entered into a wormhole, appearing somewhere millions of light years away.
The destination he was sent to was a blue planet.
A mysterious purple light covered it but compared to the world where Evnything descended, the light was more diluted meaning that the power of corruption was less intense in this world.
Roja's body has dropped to the blue planet akin to a meteorite and when he landed, he was greeted by mysterious landscapes.
Countless modern structures that expanded far distant.
A fashion drastically different from the style of his world.
A mysterious vehicle he couldn't make sense of.
The scenery told Roja that he wasn't in his previous world.
[You have arrived on 'Earth.']
[Your goal is to cleanse the corruption covering this world. Please search for the source of corruption and use all sorts of methods to remove it.]
Just as Roja finished reading the system notification, a bald person approached him.
"Roger, the bus is on that side, don't rush to get lost just because you're excited."
"What?" The bald person's words confused Roja.
"Are you daydreaming? The Japan Football Union, this bus is the one that goes there, you country bumpkin," the bald person, Igaguri said to him.
[Corruption detected! Main Quest has been generated…]
[Calculating the difficulty… Calculation complete!]
[Difficulty: Impossible!]
[Main Quest: Get chosen as the Blue Lock representative and defeat U20 Japan in soccer!]
"What is soccer…?"
Three "???" marks raised above Roja's head.
…
"Haha, this guy is doomed." Sakura laughed him off.
Then, he stopped watching and returned to his computer.
[Welcome back, Blossoms]
PlayGround.
As Sakura had seen beyond the monitor screen, the land was as empty as it was.
The place where Super Smash Bros. Universe resided was glimmering greatly but aside from that 'attraction,' the rest of the landscape was empty black.
Experiencing it himself, Sakura could understand Roja's sense of solitude.
As the Startend Internet Cade shop owner, he could 'edit' this place, but he wasn't feeling it.
Sakura kicked off the space and ran toward the Super Smash Bros. Universes.
'Skip! Skip! Skip!'
Upon entrance, Sakura mashed the buttons to skip the cutscene but found out he couldn't.
Without a choice, he had to watch the cutscene he already viewed, but he had an idea.
Spreading his hand, he slowed down his fall as much as possible.
From what Sakura saw beyond the screen, the trajectory of Kirby's Warp Star and the player's descent matched coincidentally.
So, if his calculation was right…
Amidst the countless warriors giving in to the light of corruption, the cutscene replayed as Goku blasted off the barrier locking the world.
Before it fully regenerated, Kirby flew away with warpstar in a hurry.
"Woohoo! I was right!" At that moment, Sakura collided with its Warp Star, drastically changing its trajectory.
"Poyo~?!" Kirby let out a confused cry but still held out Sakura's hand to keep him from falling away.
[You have unlocked the hidden route!]
[Unlocking the Free Mode]
[The System's assist has been removed.]
With a speed akin to teleportation, the Warp Star took two at the random coordination of the universe and crashed into an unknown planet.
Kirby's Warp Star opened a hole in the 'structure' on the planet, illuminating a moonlight pillar from above.
Upon looking, Sakura and Kirby understood that this wasn't a structure but inside of a creature from the surrounding lumpy fleshes.
Weirdly enough, inside the body, there were functional 'doors' that automatically opened once the player approached.
"Poyo~?" Kirby tilted its perfectly circle head, containing two questions. Where the 'hell' is here and who are you?
Sakura tried satisfying Kirby's confusion but from beyond the door, the sound of liquid splashing echoed out, alerting the two.
With multiple splashes overlaying the others, unknown creatures of five approached the two.
The room they were in was pretty dark but as the unknown creatures approached, their silhouette began clearing up, revealing a humanoid 'creature(?)' without arms.
"Kirby protect me! I'm scared!" At that moment, Sakura hid behind Kirby's bus intending to ride his bus.
Despite being confused, Kirby let out a reliable "poyo!"
Although the creatures in front of them were a bit creepy to Sakura, it was nothing much to Kirby who had seen something far worse.
Opening its wide mouth, humanoid creatures and the nearby environments were absorbed into Kirby's mouth.
'Don't he get a stomachache from absorbing many bad stuffs inside him?' As someone who never played a Kirby game, Sakura questioned the wonder of Kirby's body.
At that instance, Kirby's body stopped and once the creatures disintegrated inside Kirby's stomach, a cute version of the creature's face mask was attached to Kirby's head.
Kirby tried testing its power but aside from boosting his jump speed, nothing new was added.
"Th-that's amazing Kirby!" Sakura praised Kirby.
He was genuinely amazed at Kirby's cheat ability.
Kirby reacted by proudly beating its chest, which looked funny to Sakura as he didn't have one.
At the same time, Sakura's eyes landed on the Kirby's mask. He was wondering where he had seen it before. No memories clicked, but something told him he knew that mask.
'Well, it's probably nothing important if I don't remember it. Besides, we have Kirby,' Sakura fully intended to rely on Kirby to complete this planet.
Time passed on as the two explored the place. Layers and layers, the two descended to god knows where it led to.
Aside from the armless humanoid creatures, no other guys appeared in front of the two making their journey mostly smooth with Sakura telling some fun stories to Kirby.
Kirby's vocabulary list consisted of one word; "Poyo" but it sounded different depending on its mood and most of the time Kirby was like a curious child so Sakura had a fun time telling Kirby stories.
At what is the deepest layer of the creature, the two have walked into a dark room.
From there, a haunting piano melody reverberated through the air each note syncing with the liquid splashing under Kirby and Sakura's footsteps.
Then—light.
The darkness shattered, revealing an ever-expanding space swallowed by shadow.
At the far end, rested on a jagged throne of bone, a blue machine slouched with indifference, its single camera-eye flickering like a dying star.
'That looks...' an impending doom overwhelmed Sakura.
Silence had ruled the entire room, leaving the lonely sounds of ripples...
Until the system spoke.
[Mankind is dead.]
"Oh no…" Sakura swallowed his breath, his voice trembling in dread.
[Blood is fuel.]
Sakura's body trembled.
[Hell is full.]
The machine's lens flared to life, a purple-red dot locking onto them.
