It was a peaceful evening at home. Elena was helping Alex with his homework while Ethan reviewed some documents on his laptop.
Suddenly, Elena's phone buzzed with a message notification. It was from her school friends' group chat:
"Hey Elena! Long time! We're planning a reunion dinner tomorrow! Come join us! It'll be so much fun!"
Before Elena could even check the message, Alex—ever curious—picked up her phone.
"Daddy, look! Mommy got a message!" Alex said loudly, waving the phone.
Ethan raised an eyebrow and took the phone from Alex. His expression darkened slightly when he read the message.
"A reunion dinner? Who's texting her at night?" Ethan muttered suspiciously.
Alex nodded seriously. "Maybe it's a boy! Maybe a man! Maybe he wants to take Mommy!"
Ethan stood up immediately, determination flashing in his eyes.
"There's no way I'm letting that happen," he said.
