Synopsis
What happens when the story you loved betrays you? Four ordinary people thrown in the world of their fantasy novel, "Aelric the Last Flame" (The Chosen Light). They know the plot, the characters, the tragic ending where the noble hero Aelric fails against the unstoppable Pale Lord. But the details feel wrong, the edges of the story beginning to fray... Meet the characters: Kaito, the shadow strategist manipulating politics. Elias, the modern soldier forging a path with steel and tactics. Mina, the empathetic healer torn between ideals and reality. Reika, the chaotic mage breaking rules and reality alike. And Aelric, the 'hero' himself, bound to a mysterious System and a past far darker than the legends claim. Now, armed with fragmented knowledge, these unlikely characters must survive and adapt. Initially unaware of each other, they walk separate paths, yet every choice sends ripples across the unraveling plot, impacting the world and, eventually, each other. Can they outwit a broken narrative? Can they succeed where the chosen hero seems destined to fail? Or will they become just another tragic footnote? Strategy, strength, heart, and chaos collide as they fight for survival, challenge destiny, and desperately try to rewrite the ending.

Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE: THE ENDING THEY KNEW

The battlefield lay in ruin.

The once-proud spires of the capital were crumbled stone. Fire licked the bones of broken citadels. The sky wept a dark rain, thick with ash, as if the heavens themselves mourned.

And in the heart of the devastation, he knelt — trembling, bloodied, defeated.

Aelric.

The Hero.

His sword was gone. His allies were gone. All that remained was silence... and her.

She lay beside him — her eyes wide, empty, staring into a sky she could no longer see. Her robes torn, her body still.

His love.

He reached for her hand with shaking fingers. The warmth had already left it.

Aelric's breath hitched. His strength, once drawn from duty and fire, now hollowed to nothing.

The world had ended — and he had not saved it.

The Pale Lord still stood. Observing. Walking away.

"I wasn't enough", Aelric thought.

The memories blurred. So many lives. The faces of those he once trusted, once loved, faded like smoke.

"Was it going to end this way?"

The wind howled through the desolate field, carrying no answer.

Aelric slumped forward, his head resting beside hers, as darkness crept in.

All went still.

A page turned.

Then — a whisper. Cold. Familiar. Tired.

"Let's try again."

Cut to black.
