Chapter 38 - Chapter 38 : Myisterious Passenger 2

After that incident, Tommy and Jeni continued their journey to Japan by boarding another electric train.

The second electric train soon arrived at the station, and they quickly boarded it, finding seats inside the train carriage.

"Finally, we're safe from those damn robbers. Luckily, we escaped them — all thanks to you, Tommy!" Jeni said, praising him.

"Oh, right. Fortunately, I know some martial arts techniques, so I instinctively fought them off to protect you," Tommy said confidently in front of Jeni.

"Yeah, Tommy, and now I can wear this gold necklace again — it's an heirloom from my late father!"

"And I was thinking that I had…?"

But their conversation paused for a moment as Jeni looked at Tommy with affection — she was starting to fall for him.

"Oh, yeah, I'm glad, Jeni!" Tommy interrupted Jeni's warm gaze.

"I'm in love with you, Tommy!" Jeni suddenly blurted out.

Tommy was shocked and a bit awkward at Jeni's sudden confession.

"Uh, hmm... yeah, Jeni, I love you too. I would love to be your boyfriend!" Tommy said, not wasting the opportunity.

"I love you so much, and it's been a long time since I had a relationship. Seeing Art and Julia already married makes me want to get married too. I'm ready to be with you, Jeni!" Tommy continued confidently.

"Alright, after we return from Japan, let's start planning our wedding!" Jeni replied.

They then cuddled in the train while waiting to reach their destination — Japan.

Meanwhile, a mysterious man who had escaped police capture approached a café and ordered a drink.

"What would you like to order, sir?" the café waiter asked politely.

But the man's cold stare intimidated the waiter, leaving him silent, awaiting the man's answer.

"I want black coffee without sugar," said the mysterious man.

Hearing his order puzzled the waiter, who instead suggested he order beer or champagne.

"Sorry, sir. We don't serve black coffee without sugar here. I would recommend you order beer or champagne to help ease your mind," said the waiter.

"Alright, I'll have a beer then," the man replied.

The waiter then served him a bottle of beer along with some almonds.

The man sipped his beer while occasionally glancing at a woman in a red dress who was busy with her phone, smiling at messages — probably from a boyfriend or a friend.

The man then approached the woman.

"Hi, may I sit here? This seat is empty, and I would like to share a story with you," the man said.

"Oh, sure, go ahead!" the woman replied warmly.

"Are you waiting for someone? You seem very happy today," the man asked.

"Yes, I'm waiting for an old friend. I've been waiting for hours because we're going to discuss business regarding my art gallery," she explained.

"I see. Well, I don't want to disturb you. Oh, by the way, my name is Arkaeda. I come from the land of Centaurus," the man introduced himself, keeping a cold yet polite demeanor.

"Oh, Arkaeda, nice to meet you. I'm Angela from Canada!" Angela replied with a slightly puzzled look at the stranger.

"Nice to meet you, a beautiful and elegant woman!" Arkaeda complimented, making Angela blush.

"Actually, I happen to be looking for someone who can help me sell these items," Arkaeda said, pulling out several pieces of jewelry and gold that he had stolen from the train, causing Angela to be both surprised and suspicious.

"Hmm, I suggest you sell them at the nearest jewelry store, not far from this café. If I may ask, are you planning to sell all of these?" Angela asked cautiously.

"Exactly, Miss. I need money to pay for my mother's medical treatment. I'm being honest with you — all of this jewelry was looted from the train earlier. But don't worry, as a thank you for helping me, I'd like to give you some of these!" Arkaeda offered her some gold rings and pearls.

"Oh, no, thank you. I appreciate the offer, but you need it more for your mother's treatment. Even though your way was wrong, I appreciate your honesty," Angela said, politely declining.

"Alright then, I'll head to the jewelry store now to sell these. I hope you meet the person you're waiting for. Thanks again for your help!" Arkaeda said with a flat expression, then left Angela.

Angela sat there feeling both confused and fearful after learning what the man had confessed.

Meanwhile, Romi — the handsome man Angela had been waiting for — finally arrived and approached her.

"Hi, sorry for making you wait! I got stuck in traffic, that's why I'm a bit late," Romi said while sitting down and ordering a drink.

"You almost made me want to leave after waiting so long. I thought you weren't coming," Angela said, pouting a little but still happy to see Romi.

"So, about your art gallery — you said you wanted to sell it?" Romi asked.

"Yes, I want to sell it quickly so I can return to Canada. I miss my hometown so much, and I want you to come with me — to officially meet my parents and discuss our marriage plans, because Art disappointed me," Angela explained.

"Alright, we'll get everything sorted soon. I happen to know someone who's interested in buying your gallery," Romi replied, making Angela's heart blossom with happiness.

Meanwhile, Arkaeda was ambushed by a group of mafia members who noticed he was wearing a gold watch, provoking them to threaten him with weapons.

A scuffle broke out in front of the jewelry store. The mafia members beat Arkaeda badly, but with his strong and athletic body, he managed to fend them off for a while. However, since there were five of them, he was soon overwhelmed. One of the mafia members managed to snatch Arkaeda's bag containing the stolen jewelry and fled.

Arkaeda pulled out his pistol and was about to open fire...

But the sound of police sirens made him hide his gun before the police could see it.

"What's going on here? Who are those running away?" Officer Andrew asked as he stepped out of his patrol car.

"They robbed me, sir!" Arkaeda said immediately.

"Alright, the others will chase them. I saw you fighting them — you're pretty tough. They're known mafias who've been terrorizing this town. Don't worry, we'll get your belongings back. However, I need your help," Officer Andrew said, making Arkaeda wonder.

"Help with what, sir? I need to get to the hospital to pay for my mother's treatment! I can't afford it now that they stole my valuables!" Arkaeda explained, not wanting to waste time.

"Don't worry, we'll cover your mother's medical expenses. But I need you to participate in a tournament in the land of Arial, which will be held tomorrow. There, you'll meet an undercover agent named Art. Together, you'll carry out a mission to spy on one of the most dangerous criminals there. Here's my business card. If you change your mind, call me," Officer Andrew said.

He then got into his patrol car and sped off after the mafias.
