Soo Min-ji exhaled deeply, rubbing her arms, "It's getting cold already," she muttered, letting out a shaky breath. She looked up at the B ranked zombie, then it struck her she didn't know his name.
She tapped his shoulder to get his attention, "Hey."
He looked over his shoulders, "Hm? Do you want something?"
"Uhh, I was just realizing that I don't know your name. What is it?"
He looked back at where he was going without saying anything.
She furrowed her brows, "You heard me right?" She scowled.
"Why does my name matter to you?" He mumbled.
"For communication purposes duh, what else? I can't keep calling you dead man all the time, right?"
A breathless chuckle rumbled off his chest, "Of course, you can."
"Do you not have a name?" She scurried to his front, making him pause walking.
He shook his head, "Not anymore," he sniffled.
"What was the name you used while you were still living?"
He blinked, "Hmm, I do not think that is necessary," he held her hand, leading her towards a right path, "You should just stick to calling me dead man."
"No, I want to identify you with a name, not just a dead man. There are a lot of them out there," she pointed backwards.
His lips curled up, "Of course, I know that, but you do know I am different, right?"
"Just tell me your name."
"Heuk Jin."
She blinked, "Oh," she looked away.
Heuk Jin stared at her, "Is something wrong?"
She shook her head.
Grabbing her hand, he led her down another narrow path.
[Beep! A small structure detected ahead! Host is being led to small building.]
"Oh he has already built something, I guess. He was clearly here before us."
[You do know you would want to start building some structures like this. I will help you.]
A smile lit up her face, "Thank you so much Aegenesis."
"Who?" He threw her a quizzical look.
"I also have a system," she shrugged, "You have one, I have one too."
Soon, they were in front of a small building made from roughly wood, and some thatch as the roof.
"Where did you get these?" She widened her eyes.
"Daily tasks, some few quests," he mumbled, walking towards the door.
She held her breath. This is what Aegenesis wants me to do?'
"Stop hanging around, just come inside and stop action all dazed too."
She hesitated, "Am I really going to stay here with him Aegenesis?'" she muttered under breath, turning around on her heels, "Try scanning or doing something to see if you detect any kind of threat from him."
[Beep! Scanning in progress...]
[No form of threat detected at the moment! He seems completely cool.]
"At the moment?"
"Do you want to sit outside, stay hungry, and maybe run into some flesh walkers?"
"Uhh, no.."
"Then come inside ice cubes, stop melting at any instance, yeesh," he turned on his heels, finally disappearing into the house.
Soo Min-ji looked around, observing her surroundings firstly. There was nothing, save for the crumbling building in front of her, there was nothing at all around, not a pool of water, no trees, nothing.
"Am I expected to walk all the way back to that place just to retrieve water?" She collapsed on her knees to the ground feeling dizzy, "This is already harder than I think. Cam I do this?" She hung her head.
[Host is definitely capable and has it within her! You can do this Soo Min-ji.]
Her eyes brightened when she saw those words on the screen, "You think so?"
[Yes!]
A low chuckle escaped her lips, "Thank you Aegenesis, you are maybe kind a little," she slowly got back to her feet.
"Pretty human?"
Her cheeks flushed, "I'll be in in five."
"Oh dear," she puffed her cheeks, hoping her blush would crawl back to her neck.
"Alright, let me go feast on something," she finally entered inside.
---
The dead shamblers lay there on the ground lifeless, each one badly burnt from the bomb Heuk Jin had thrown at them earlier on.
One of them lay isolated from the rest, its fingers, and toes chopped off from its body. Its head was still holding on to its neck for support.
It let out a strangled cry as the pains reeked throughout its body. It was still alive, but very injured.
It managed to crane its neck a little to observe the rest of its dead friends, and to think one of their very kind betrayed them.
It pushed it self forward a little, jerked then began to roll over to the rest of its dead friends, while trying to keep his head clinging to his neck.
Eventually, it reached the carcasses all lying around, in bed shape. It pushed itself till it reached a carcass. Closing its eyes, it focused all of the remaining energy left in it, channeling it to the carcass.
He felt himself levitating the carcass with it. The carcass slowly began to degenerate, feeding the arms and feet of the other shambler. This contained till it completely degenerated.
The now revived shambler, dropped to the ground, staying there motionless for a while, before finally getting to its feet.
He dragged himself to other caresses sucking up their bodies, feeding himself. He grew in height, and weight with each body he kept feeding himself till he was about 7 feet tall.
It now had extremely long claws, a gigantic build like that of an towering oak tree. Its red glowing eyes were sunken deep into its rotting skull. Its "lips" were burned out, leaving just stretched, worn out lines of black skin. Decaying skin kept growing, and falling out as it walked. The stench from a normal shambler had disappeared replaced with a oozing smell of dried blood mixed with rotting matter.
A low, bitter, cackle escaped his lips. He spread its arms apaet cackling wildly, palming its face drawing more skin out. Its monstrous rotten teeth ground against each other producing an unrealistic harsh, grinding sound.
"Let us all go down the death's hole together!"
