Chapter 38 - [38] Domain Expansion

"And also, if they find the other teachers' classes too boring, I hope you can personally give them a bit of training."

"I mean, I could… but you know, I've been really busy lately. Not sure I'll have the time."

After all, he still had daily quests and commissions to do.

"But then again..."

Zephyr stroked his chin thoughtfully, and the moment he made that gesture, Paimon immediately knew what he was about to say.

"Two thousand Mora. I'll help you this once."

"Eh!? Two thousand!? That's extortion!"

Paimon grinned, "Awwww~ Don't tell me the world's strongest invincible teacher can't even spare a measly 2,000 Mora?"

Lumine chimed in, "Paimon, don't say that. There's no way Teacher Gojo is that broke."

Zephyr added, "Exactly. After all, Gojo-sensei is the top sorcerer known as the strongest. If he can't cough up just 2,000 gold coins, I'd start questioning just how 'strong' he really is."

Gojo Satoru broke into a sweat. "You two really rehearsed that little routine, huh? But for real, I don't have that much cash on me."

Zephyr smirked, "Knew it. You're broke."

"Anyway, I just thought of something."

"Hm? What?"

"I wanna try an experiment. Use your domain on me. If the test works, I'll agree to your request."

Gojo raised an eyebrow, surprised. "Didn't expect Lumine-chan to know about domains too. But unfortunately, my domain isn't something I can just use on anyone. And even if I did use it on you, you wouldn't be able to perceive anything."

"You can try."

"Oh? Feeling confident, are we?"

Gojo teased, "Seems like you've got a trick or two I don't know about. Alright then, let's give it a shot."

Gojo slowly lifted his blindfold.

"Domain Expansion — Infinite Void."

In an instant, the world came to a halt.

At least, it did for Lumine and Paimon. But for Zephyr? It didn't affect him at all.

"This skill is straight-up cheating."

At that moment, Lumine was internally reeling.

What just happened? What was that just now?

She couldn't see anything. She couldn't feel anything… Nothing…

Gojo's voice echoed slowly,

"This is the inside of the Limitless. Perception, communication… the processes required to simply exist are forcibly repeated infinitely.

It's ironic, isn't it? Given everything, and yet you're rendered helpless—unable to do anything but slowly wait for death.

This is my domain…

Well, not that you can hear me right now anyway."

Then—

Zephyr calmly spoke,

"You're overthinking it."

"NANI!?"

Gojo was shocked.

"How are you still able to talk!?"

"Not only can I talk," Zephyr said smugly,

"I can sing, dance, and rap too."

Lumine scolded angrily, "What do you think you're doing, using my body like that!?"

Zephyr replied smugly, "What do you mean your body? It's already mine now. You belong to me, Lumine."

"Hmph."

Gojo Satoru looked stunned. "Unbelievable… To think you can maintain consciousness inside my domain, even walk around freely… Incredible. As expected of a Traveler from another world.

But your uniqueness, I can understand. What I don't get is—what's going on with the little cutie Paimon here?"

Paimon tilted her head, confused, and touched her forehead. "Huh? What about me?"

"I mean, how are you able to speak in here?"

"Hmm? Why wouldn't Paimon be able to talk? What do you mean? Paimon is not mute or anything."

"…"

Gojo went silent for a moment, then burst out laughing. "Haha! Fascinating, absolutely fascinating. So then, Zephyr, what exactly were you trying to test?"

"I wanted to see if the teleport function works inside a Domain."

"Teleport…?"

And in the next instant—whoosh!

The Traveler and Paimon vanished from within the Domain.

"They disappeared? How interesting… so interesting!"

Back on the school's field, the Traveler appeared next to the Statue of the Seven.

"Nice! Looks like teleportation works inside Domains."

If teleporting out of Gojo's domain worked, then escaping from anyone's domain should be even easier.

"So that's teleportation… Spatial-type jujutsu, huh? Fascinating. So that statue on the field—that's your doing?" Gojo walked up, visibly impressed.

"Looks like your experiment's a success. Well then, I'll leave you to inform Itadori and the others—I'm heading out."

Lumine said, "Okay, bye! Safe travels."

Zephyr added, "Hope you die halfway."

Lumine followed up, "Keep smiling!"

Paimon chimed in, "If you die, it's what you deserve!"

Gojo Satoru left with a complicated expression, and shortly after, Itadori Yuji came out of the room and said, "Big Sis, I think I just heard Gojo-sensei's voice."

"You heard wrong. Now go to class!"

"Yeah yeah, I got it, stop rushing me."

Just like that, about a week passed. At first, Zephyr and Paimon still went to classes with the others, but after realizing that going to class neither gave EXP nor unlocked any achievements, they stopped attending altogether.

Their days became a routine of doing daily quests and Ley Line Blossoms during the day, and collecting Cursed Eyes at night—a life even more exhausting than a corporate drone.

"Wait a minute, something's not right!"

Why does this game feel even more time-consuming than before!?

Over the course of that week, Lumine had only gone from Level 16 to Level 17.

One level in a whole week… the leveling speed was absurdly slow!

Back then, getting a character from Level 0 to 90 only took a few months. But now? At this rate, it might take years.

Then, one day, a special mission arrived.

"A cursed womb? It might hatch into a Special Grade Curse Spirit?"

Itadori Yuji asked curiously, "Is a Special Grade Curse Spirit really that strong?"

Fushiguro Megumi sighed. "Seriously? What have you even been learning these past seven days if you don't know that?"

"Cough cough…"

Zephyr cut in, "To put it simply, cursed spirits are ranked by power level: roughly divided into First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade, Ungraded, and Special Grade."

Itadori nodded. "Oh, I get it now."

"That's totally wrong! That's not how they're ranked at all!"

Nobara Kugisaki chimed in, "Well, it's close enough. Not that far off. Fushiguro, do you have a problem with Big Sis?"

Itadori got annoyed. "Hey, Kugisaki, thanks for standing up for Big Sis, but just so you know, she's mine!"

"What? She's obviously my Big Sis!"

Paimon groaned. "Every day it's the same noisy drama. Because of you lot, Paimon has been making way more sarcastic remarks than usual, you know!?"

The principal cleared his throat. "Enough. Settle down."

Everyone immediately quieted down. Itadori then asked, "So, this Special Grade Curse Spirit… it's like the strongest kind of curse, right?"

Fushiguro replied, "That's right. Of course, there are differences even among Special Grades, but for us right now, those details don't matter.

Because if we run into a Special Grade, no matter how 'weak' it is—we're absolutely getting one-shotted."

"Principal, are you really assigning this mission to us?"

The principal replied seriously, "Not to all of you—only to Lumine. And to be precise, it's still just a cursed womb right now. It hasn't yet given birth to a curse spirit."

"Huh? You're giving it to Big Sis!?"
