"Is this the legendary forest from the stories?!" Mondy looked surprised.
Aswa and Arca appeared confused. "A legendary forest?" Aswa asked.
"Don't you know? I already told you, the leader of Srengseng now is believed to be a powerful person! And this place is his witness!" Mondy said.
"Powerful? You guys are still acting like kids!" Aswa said.
"Probably just bedtime stories!" Arca added.
The two of them didn't believe in anything supernatural.
"H-ha? You yourself are powerful, Aswa, don't you realize it?" Mondy thought.
Across the street near the car that had previously flipped over after being hit by the monitor lizard that Aswa had struck,
The car's owner emerged, looking fine. He was a large, muscular man.
He got out with difficulty. "Ouch, my car isn't even paid off yet." Then he checked his car.
"Luckily nothing is damaged..." Then he saw a wooden stick near his car, "??... Whose stick is this?"
The man then heard very heavy breathing from above him.
He looked up onto his car.
"And what does Angker mean?" Aswa asked.
"You don't even know such a basic thing?" Arca said.
Mondy then explained to Aswa, "Angker doesn't only mean haunted! It can also be used to make a place look scary! That's why this place is called Anke-"
"Kyaaa!!!" A scream was heard from where the man was, apparently the monitor lizard had regained consciousness and was about to attack him.
"CRAAKKK!" Its huge jaws opened wide, ready to devour him.
*WUSSHH* *THWIPP* A wooden sign flew and stabbed into its head.
*GRAAAARRRGH!!* The monitor lizard screamed in pain before dying.
"That was a jackpot!" Aswa bragged about her skill to Arca.
"Try again if there were two, I'd throw first!" Arca didn't want to lose.
The man then looked at Aswa and Arca, he seemed shocked by the monitor lizard and Aswa.
Then Aswa, Arca, and Mondy approached him. "Are you okay? Mr. Kyaa?!" Aswa extended her hand.
"A-ah... yeah." The man accepted her help and stood up.
"Hmmm..." Arca carefully observed the monitor lizard, then climbed on the dead lizard and pulled out the sign stuck in its head.
*BHUAKK* Arca kicked the monitor lizard blocking the car.
Arca then flipped the man's car easily, surprising Mondy and the man. "They're not human!" the man and Mondy thought.
Mondy swallowed nervously, showing he was panicked or disbelieving the current situation.
"Oi Mondy!... What are you waiting for?! Let's keep going." Aswa said.
"Oh yeah." Mondy ran to catch up with the two.
The three continued their journey. "W-wait!!..." The man called after them.
"You helped me... so just tell me where you want to go! I'll take you!"
Without hesitation, they got into his car. "By the way, thank you for your help earlier hehe," the driver said gratefully to Aswa and Arca who had helped him.
"Oh yeah... Where are you headed? B-before that, let me introduce myself, my name is Fani! Thanks again for your help." The man said warmly, apparently unaware of who had flipped his car.
"BHUAHAHA... His name is Fani?! That sounds like a girl's name!" Arca laughed at the man.
"What? So his name isn't Mr. Kyaa?" Aswa said.
"Watch your manners!... Sorry sir, those two are like human-shaped bats who only eat nonsense!!" Mondy scolded Aswa and Arca and then apologized to Mr. Fani.
"It's okay... I understand. By the way, where are you going? Why don't you use a vehicle, it's the modern age now!" Fani said.
"We want to go to Srengseng High School and... I'd really appreciate it if you don't ask why we're walking!" Mondy said with a tired expression.
"S-sorry, I guess I offended you." Mr. Fani apologized feeling bad.
Aswa and Arca sat in the back seats behind Mr. Fani and Mondy. "Hey, if you're driving, drive properly!" Aswa scolded Mondy.
"Yeah... You already know but you still mess up the car." Arca followed Aswa's lesson.
You could see veins on Mondy's face; he looked like he couldn't hold it anymore. "You guys ruined it... Damn it!!!"
