Chapter 39 - DDDS: Chapter 39

These demons were acting collectively in such an unusual way, clearly targeting Senior Ryuji, and they had mistaken him for Ryuji.

Tanjiro quickly figured out the reason why they had mistaken him for Ryuji. It was the fox-shaped disaster-averting mask that was similar to Ryuji's.

Tanjiro's mind raced, and in just one breath, he understood the reason and came up with a bold plan.

"I'll create a bloody path for you. You guys quickly carry Zenitsu and run down the mountain!" Tanjiro whispered to the young men who were with him.

Hearing this, the young man quickly retreated behind Tanjiro and carried Zenitsu on his back.

Just as Tanjiro and the others were making a move, the {demons} saw their intentions and Tanjiro's hesitation. The {demons} behind them immediately attacked those who weren't Tanjiro.

Ten {demons} pounced on Tanjiro and the others. At this critical moment, Tanjiro remembered Ryuji's encouraging words and gained confidence. He successfully activated Water Breathing, Third Form, Flowing Dance.

[Water Breathing, Third Form, Flowing Dance]

Using footwork to attack the enemy while moving quickly, the smooth and flowing movements are similar to dancing, hence the name Flowing Dance.

As Tanjiro activated Water Breathing, Third Form, Flowing Dance, his figure moved like flowing water, quickly weaving through the crowd. As the {demons} approached, Tanjiro's Nichirin sword slashed down along the "line of emptiness."

The blade's light and shadow flickered across the eyes of each {demon}. As the light and shadow dissipated, the heads of the ten {demons} were all severed by Tanjiro.

Looking at the ten {demons} whose heads he had just severed, Tanjiro's excitement couldn't be calmed for a long time. He had actually done something he thought he couldn't do.

Because of Ryuji's presence, Tanjiro's halo had always been overshadowed. He had always doubted himself.

Just as Tanjiro was shocked by his own actions, a dangerous scent suddenly stimulated his nerves, bringing him back to his senses.

"Run!" Tanjiro shouted immediately.

Then, everyone started running down the mountain. They hadn't expected Tanjiro to be so strong. But then again, Ryuji and Tanjiro were from the same school. How much weaker could Tanjiro, as his junior brother, be?

Just as they had just run off, a large group of {demons} chased after them. Their imposing presence was like a death knell.

Tanjiro took a chance to look back and gasped. He roughly counted at least fifty {demons}.

These {demons} were like rabid dogs, chasing after Tanjiro and the others frantically.

"Senior Ryuji, is this the trouble you've caused? You're really going to kill us!" Tanjiro ran wildly, complaining in his heart. If he had known this would happen, he shouldn't have gone to find Ryuji. Now, he was being mistaken for Ryuji by these {demons}.

Just then, the young man carrying Zenitsu tripped while running, and Zenitsu fell to the ground with him.

The young man instinctively tried to stand up again, but the pain of his sprained ankle stimulated his nerves, making it impossible for him to stand up for a short time.

Tanjiro stopped abruptly, but the other young men didn't stop. They continued to run down the mountain.

Tanjiro knew he couldn't call them back, so he ignored them and turned back to rescue the injured young man and the unconscious Zenitsu.
