"Really, really, it's happening! Tanjiro! We're really going to be eaten!" Zenitsu cried out in despair, terrified.
Tanjiro's face was solemn. He pulled Zenitsu off of him and shouted, "Zenitsu, snap out of it! Now is not the time to be down! Quickly hide behind me!"
The other young men who were with them also clenched their jaws. They were incredibly desperate, facing five {demons} at once.
They had almost lost their lives to just one {demon}. Now, facing five at the same time, they were afraid they would be eaten to the bone!
"There are more behind Tanjiro!!!" Zenitsu screamed at the top of his lungs.
This was the first time in his life that he had faced so many {demons} at once.
Screaming, Zenitsu finally couldn't take it anymore and fainted.
Tanjiro turned around and saw that there were several {demons} behind him as well.
"We're really going to die here!" The young men who had followed Tanjiro to find Ryuji looked desperate.
Tanjiro hadn't expected Zenitsu to faint directly from this situation, but he didn't have time to worry about him too much now. He could only kick Zenitsu with his foot and shout, "Zenitsu, wake up! Now is not the time to sleep!"
However, what Tanjiro did didn't wake Zenitsu up. After trying and failing, he had no choice but to ignore him for now.
"Hee hee hee… fox mask! It seems we've found him!" The {demons} surrounding Tanjiro and the others laughed sinisterly.
"Hold them off. Wait for the {Hand Demon} Lord to come and deal with this guy!" Another {demon} said.
On the other side, Ryuji went deeper into Mount Fujikasane, but after a long time, no {demons} appeared on the small map. This made him feel strange.
Did his actions last night scare the {demons}? Were they not daring to come out now?
Ryuji had no choice but to continue going deeper to see if the {demons} were hiding in the deepest part of Mount Fujikasane.
Ryuji didn't know that because of him, Tanjiro and the others were in a very dangerous situation. Tanjiro also didn't know that Zenitsu, who was following him because he was scared, was actually a key factor in turning the tide for him.
Tanjiro, surrounded by {demons}, felt an invisible, immense pressure pressing down on him. Cold sweat was dripping down his forehead.
For a long time, Tanjiro noticed that these {demons} didn't seem to have any intention of attacking. It was as if they were waiting for something.
His instincts told him that he had to break this stalemate quickly, otherwise, the situation would only become more dangerous.
Calming down, Tanjiro began to adjust his breathing. At the same time, he drew his sword from its scabbard.
The {demons} surrounding Tanjiro and the others saw that he had drawn his sword and immediately retreated a few steps in fear.
Tanjiro clearly saw the {demons}' actions. He was stunned for a moment. Were they afraid of him? If they were afraid of him, why were they blocking his path?
Tanjiro's mind raced, and then a flash of inspiration came to him. He suddenly understood.
These {demons} weren't afraid of him. They were actually afraid of his senior brother, Ryuji. Clearly, Ryuji's massacre last night had left a shadow on these {demons}.
