DAMIEN'S POV
I stared at the reflection in front of me.
The black-on-black suit fit like a second skin, the fabric smooth, regal, and flawless. The silver cuffs gleamed against the darkness, every inch of me dressed like the Alpha I was supposed to be.
But the man in the mirror looked like a stranger. The eyes were mine—cold, dark, but underneath… something was off.
I let out a harsh breath. What the hell was happening to me?
And then there was her. Eva.
Why couldn't I stop thinking about her? Why did the image of Eva's face invade my mind every time I closed my eyes?
I cannot remember how I met gher, what happened when I met her or anything. I just know it's her that makes me want to either kiss her or ruin her.
I ran a hand through my hair, frustrated.
Now… now every time I saw her—every time she was near—I felt something pull, like a string dragging me toward her, dragging me toward that bond that was supposed to be unbreakable.
