Peter frowned upon hearing the question his son had asked.They were talking about chaos energy which though he didn't want to talk about but from the persuasion of his son,expained so why the sudden change of topics.
Steve could see his father immediately frown upon hearing this question as it was too abrupt and not related to what they were talking about so he took the initiative to explain
"Its nothing Dad,its just this chaos energy thing sounds too much for me that's why the sudden change of topic.Besides,don't you find it bad leaving your 11 year old son at home without telling me where you went".said Steve as he scattered his fathers hair.
His father made an ooh expression as he understood the sudden change in topic and answered as he tickled Steve for him to stop scattering his hair.
"It was just another beast tide that had come with an unexpected situation that needed special skills to be solved in the exploration realm.You know this exploration realm is onlywhat is making us capable of producing mech pilots as they can sustain their consumption in resources.Without it,our Planet Aurora will not possess the capability to produce mech pilots.And you know the consequences of not having mech pilots"
Steve now understood that the exploration realm was really of utmost importance and any information or problem about was not something to be trifled with it.He stopped probing anymore as the subsequent questions he asked were faced with immediate rejection signifying that the conversation about the exploration realm was over.
They soon dropped the serious matters and began to talk about daily matter which made the tension within the group relax.They continued to spend all the time together until night fell before Steve went to sleep.But before going,he asked a question that made his mother shocked but his father,not so much shocked.
"Dad,do you know Mr Simon"Steve said as he turned around.
His father looked at him amusingly and smiled before nodding his head.
Steve nodded as he thought "that explains why" and then returned on his path to his room.The reason why he asked that question was that although he had recounted what had happened when his father was not home just now,his father seemed to still knew about some minute details about the events that took place.
His father even knew the fish was a called chaos creature and that it was even of the 7th level of cultivation in comparison with humans(pseudo chaos creature).All these were not stated by Steve when he was recounting on what had happened in the absence of his father which made Steve guess that his father surely had something to do with that fishy business.
He dropped all thoughts and went to bed as he thought that was enough revelations for a day.He immediately fell asleep upon falling on the bed as he was so mentally exhausted which transmitted it to his physical condition.
When he woke up in the morning,his mother had already prepared his food so he went to eat,finished and went to watch TV as he had nothing to do on his schedule.His parents had already told him to suspend his cultivation and enjoy a period of reprieve.Had they not told him,he still would have paused cultivation for the mean time.
For the remainder of the week,he did not cultivate and enjoyed those moments with his parents.They had both agreed to spend this much time with him because after the awakening day,his future would be determined and he would attend a school a mech pilot or not.They spent that period on reminiscing on what they gone through and so that he could make a recap of the good things that happened in the past.
It was not that Steve was going away immediately after the week however his parents would surely return to their work places and that they wouldn't be getting much time for him before the awakening date.He was also sure to attend a bigger and more quality academy no matter the profession he became in future.
He quite remembered he had seen on news that these academies only accepted boarding courses as coming and going out of the school was a rarely seen case.Although he had completed the basic school which was a boarding course and had a bit of experience.After all what had he experienced that could be compared to living in a real educated located facility far away from home and to be frank,he was quite nervous truth be spoke.
He wa getting more and more lost in thoughts when his mother brought up a question that intrigued him.
"So which academy do you wish on joining"said Fredrica as she sat by both father and son with a plate of desserts in her hands.
Steve was about to answer but his father interrupted him,
"Fredrica,I already told you we should not make our child develop anymore into a mech fanatic.We've already done enough to boost his chances to become one however the rest must wait.You know they tend to grow with their mindset fixated on mechs only to be disappointed due to not possessing the ability to pilot them"said Peter reprimanded Fredrica
Fredrica did not take it to heart and understood that his husband naturally wanted what was best for their child.However,she also thought that her husband interpreted her question in a different way thus she wanted to correct her own stance.
"Its not what you think.I want to know which school he actually adores be it a mech academy or a normal academy if the need be to choose from a range of selections"said Fredrica as she corrected his husbands thoughts.
"Oh okay,I understand.But the academies are the ones to pick students thus there's no need to make any preferences.Besides it's going to be painful if he doesn't get his desired school right?".said Peter.
"But our little boy is quite a genius here in cultivation so I'd like him to make quality decision rather than making hasty decisions on the day when the academy representatives come to watch.After all,you never know the talent our little genius is going to awaken."said Fredrica as she defended herself.
Steve's father immediately knew it was a forgone conclusion that they would discuss the schools thus he reigned in his impulse to mislead the subject.And so Steve who naturally supported his mother joined in with the selection of schools.It continued for the wholeday until the next day.
Different things were done on each day and they were thoroughly enjoyed by both Steve and his parents.After the short break,his parents returned to their daily work routines whiles Steve returned to his cultivation.
However he didn't rush it and maintained a sub optimal gain status.He still cultivated but maintained slower pace so as to not approach the level 10 bottleneck.Its not that he wasn't willing however he was strictly told not to by his parents and abided to it without any inhibitions.
It didn't take long before the one year passed and the awakening day reached.Steve's family finished early and moved to the centre of the city where a grand auditorium lay.They entered and easily got allocated to seats as they were naturally not ordinary guests.They didn't have to wait long as the auditorium got full and the awakening started without a fuss.
A seemingly pod like structure was driven to the stage by a worker which seemed to be part of the programme.It was covered with a cloth that added to its mysteriousness as it gave out an aura of unfathomable energy.The people who attended the occasion immediately figured it was sure related to the programme.
However everything got quiet at once as a group of people entered the hall way of the auditorium.It wouldn't be surprising as some people got late on this fateful day however these people emitted a unique but threatening aura.It was a volcano could erupt inside them if they were to be tested.
These people also wore dresses that looked a bit too special.The grouped walked until the very seats that remained at the forefront of the auditorium before they took their seats.This immediately told those who were around these people were guests and shouldn't be tempted.The crowd quieted down as nobody knew who knew who they were and were making their own guesses.
With the arrival of these guests,the ceremony began as the host immediately appeared on the stage and explained the importance of the day.He finished and went on to unveil the pod like structure.However before that,the previous anonymous guests stood up as the host introduced them.
