The next day, early in the morning.
Roonie stood before the second-year dorm room. He asked his guard, "Is this the right room?"
Both of them nodded their heads. "Yes, boss."
Roonie wasted no time and started banging on the door.
A loud, irritated voice came from inside. "Which bastard wants to die today?"
Alex opened the door with gooey eyes. He glanced at Roonie and was about to shout when he noticed the two bodybuilders behind him.
The moment he saw them, all his sleep vanished from his eyes. He bowed a bit and asked, "Ah, who are you, sir?"
Roonie asked in a calm tone, "Third year. Is this Veyne's dorm?"
Alex was about to shake his head to deny it, but then he noticed both of those bodybuilders staring at him.
He gulped, 'Sorry, Veyne.' He chose not to offend them and nodded. "Yes, senior."
Roonie wasted no time and walked into the dorm. There, he saw two guys passed out on the sofa in front of the television.
Not caring about them, he asked Alex, "Where is Veyne?"
Alex pointed forward. "He should be sleeping in his room. Wait, senior, let me call him."
Roonie nodded and walked to the sofa. The others were already awake from the commotion.
Henry asked in confusion, "Ah, Senior Roonie, why are you here?"
Roonie tilted his head.
Henry got up in a panic and bowed. "Sorry for not introducing myself, sir. I'm Henry from Business, and I am in the second year."
Markus also jumped to the side and did the same. "Senior, I'm Markus from Business, second year."
Roonie nodded his head and plopped down on the sofa. He waved to them. "Relax, I'm just here to meet Veyne."
Both Henry and Markus glanced at each other and gulped. They cursed Veyne in their minds for messing with Roonie.
Both of them were from the same branch as Roonie, and they had heard a lot of scary stories about him.
There was a saying in the business branch that getting involved with Roonie always ended badly. He was a walking disaster that everyone, including teachers, feared.
What they didn't understand was what kind of business this son of the mafia had with Veyne.
While they were busy thinking about the reason, Alex started banging on the door.
"Veyne… Veyne… Veyne…"
…
After a deep, long sleep, Veyne woke up to the loud banging.
He yawned and shouted from inside, "What happened?"
Alex shouted to him, "A third-year senior came to meet you!"
'Third-year senior.' It took him a moment, but then he smiled. 'Don't tell me he's already here.'
He asked Alex, "Is it Senior Roonie?"
After a second's pause, Alex shouted, "Yes! You come out now!"
Veyne shouted back, "Oh, tell him to wait, please. I'm in the washroom."
Alex shouted, "You… you…" but then controlled himself and said, "Okay, come out as soon as possible!"
Veyne just smiled, grabbed his phone, and ordered a bunch of stuff from the canteen.
After that, he returned to the bathroom to freshen up and take his morning bath.
Fifteen minutes later, he opened the door and walked out with water still dripping from his hair.
He saw both Roonie and Zack sitting on the sofa, talking to the trio, who were awkwardly standing in front of them.
It looked like they were being interrogated by teachers.
Then there were the two bodyguards standing to the side.
He shook his head and said with a bright smile on his face, "Good morning, senior brother Roonie."
Roonie turned to him and raised an eyebrow. He nodded. "Good morning, Junior Veyne."
The moment Veyne heard his name, a wide smile formed on his face.
Not only had Roonie remembered his name, but this guy had even walked over to meet him.
Now that was the progress he wanted in his life. Still not getting ahead of himself, he nodded to Roonie and then Zack. "Hello, Zack."
Zack nodded back with a forced smile. "Hello." The irritation in his voice was clear.
Not minding him, Veyne just sat on the other side of the sofa. "So, how come the senior decided to visit me?"
At this time, Zack looked at the other three and said, "Could you guys give us some privacy for a moment?"
The three of them looked at him for a second and then nodded.
All of them walked together to the leftmost room, the one furthest from the sofa.
Well, smart decision.
With them gone, Roonie rubbed his forehead and asked, "What should I call you—Veyne the guild master, or Forsyx the birdman?"
Veyne rolled his eyes. "Oh, come on, senior. Call me anything you like."
Zack shouted, "Why did you hide it? Did you ask for those crystals for your character reset?"
Veyne raised an eyebrow. "When did I hide anything?"
Zack pointed at him. "You… you—!"
Roonie cut in, "Forget it. That's not important right now. I'll hear the details later, but first, I came here for something else."
Roonie pulled out a paper from his pocket and slid it toward him. "Here, this is your guild contract. Check it yourself."
Veyne looked at the contract in confusion. When did the mafia start using contracts?
He picked up the contract, and the more he read, the wider his eyes went.
'What the hell? Is this for real?'
This looked like one of those power pro-player contracts that got leaked in his past life.
What was interesting was that there were only benefits—no restrictions at all.
Heck, not even the basic clause that said he couldn't leave the guild.
He knew it'd be impossible to leave Akinu's guild influence now.
He glanced at the Roonie and this absurd contract. Who even gives out contracts with just benefits written all over them?
It was like Roonie was showcasing the advantages of staying on his side.
Veyne swept his hand through his wet hair and said, "This is interesting. Is it because of all the missed calls I received last night?"
The moment he said that, he saw Roonie frown hard.
Roonie wasted no time and asked, "Who called you?"
Veyne shrugged his shoulders. "I only saw the missed calls."
He even threw his phone toward one of the guards and said, "Here, feel free to check it."
That guy looked at Roonie for permission and then started going through his phone.
As he was doing that, they heard a loud knock on the dorm gate.
Knock Knock!
