Chapter 98 - Nelliel Mission (98)

Nelliel POV

The walk through the Garganta was quite short. Going to the Human World was something she was used to by now.

As she reached the Human World, she put on her Gigai.

The moment Nelliel stepped into the Human World, she didn't waste time.

BZZZT—BOOM!

With a flash of Sonido, she was gone from her entry point, immediately scanning the area with the device Gabriel had given her.

The scanner beeped.

Target located.

She appeared in front of the Fullbringer, only to witness a Shinigami attacking him.

Wow, a Shinigami was actually attacking a human? Was that a noble crest on his clothes?

Huh. She never thought she'd see the day.

However, that was her target for the mission, and she would not let him die.

She couldn't let that shit slide.

Before the Shinigami even knew what hit him—

SPLAT.

He was dead in one blow.

Well, it was to be expected. The Shinigami was, at best, third-seat level. Even Lucius could one-shot this fool. She didn't even need to use her authority for this.

Using her authority would have been a waste of Reiatsu. Even drawing out her sword was unnecessary—she could have just crushed him with her spiritual pressure.

However, that was a bad idea because:

If she let out too much power, the Gigai would not be able to suppress it, and Soul Society would locate her.Everyone in this town would die.

Once again, not her mission.

She could have just used her authority to make it so that when she used her Reiatsu, it only targeted him, but that was a waste of an authority.

Nelliel didn't even look at the corpse.

Instead, she turned her attention to the injured Fullbringer, blood pooling around him.

With a soft voice, she spoke:

"You have high-speed regeneration."

The moment those words left her lips, the man's wounds closed instantly.

Nelliel, in fact, could do this. She had trained enough so that she could set rules on someone and not just their ability.

For Lucius, all she had to say was that her attacks ignored all types of defense... his Infinity was a defense, and thus, her attack would slice right through it and hit him instead.

But now, if she touched someone and said, you no longer have access to your powers... he was cooked.

The Fullbringer's eyes widened in shock.

His wounds healed... they healed.

Then, relief.

He looked up at her with gratitude.

"Thank you!" he said, genuinely meaning it.

Nelliel simply smiled.

But then, she spoke again—

"I am part of the Hollow Empire."

The moment those words left her mouth, the man's body tensed.

His entire demeanor shifted.

"You're a... Hollow?"

His voice carried distrust. Bitterness.

Hollows had attacked his family before.

He didn't trust them.

Nelliel, however, remained calm.

"I am no mindless beast," she stated politely. "Under His Majesty's rule, I no longer have the desire to consume souls."

The man's eyes narrowed.

"Why did you save me, then?"

"Because His Majesty sent me to protect your kind."

The Fullbringer was on guard.

"Why?"

Nelliel's answer was simple.

"Because you have Hollow powers. By extension, you are part of His Majesty's kingdom."

The Fullbringer was silent.

Processing.

"And what does that mean for me?" he finally asked.

"It means protection against Shinigami attacks," she said. "And for those who wish, it means the option to remove your Fullbring."

The man was still hesitant.

She understood.

She didn't press him for an answer.

Instead, she gave him time to think.

One Fullbringer saved.

Before leaving, she placed one of her guards nearby to ensure the man wasn't attacked again.

Then, without another word—

She vanished, continuing her search for more Fullbringers to recruit into His Majesty's army.

She was very swift in her work. She had said what needed to be said, showed the correct amount of emotion, and even left a guard there.

Lucius was not happy about this overtime shift, but he had pleaded honorably to be here. The second he heard it was a direct order from His Majesty...

Well, if His Majesty saw worth in these weak, pathetic, feeble, miserable existences, then that meant they had worth.

His Majesty could not be wrong, and he would not zip it up.

This was the correct amount of glaze for the amount of shit His Majesty had done.

Lucius still remembered his time as a Hollow. He was roughly 200-ish years old—twenty times older than the kingdom itself.

To put it into perspective, in 1/20th of his lifespan, His Majesty had created a thriving kingdom.

Meanwhile, he was busy trying not to get eaten by some Adjucha trying to reach their 3,000 Hollows a day plan.

His Majesty had made this.

To be honest, it took him like 100 years to become a Gillian, and he stayed a Gillian for god knows how long.

Until His Majesty found him.

Turned him into an Adjucha.

He watched as His Majesty overthrew Barragan... yes, he was there.

And His Majesty saw something in him—someone stuck at the Gillian stage forever because some dick Adjucha had decided to nibble on him.

Gosh, he hated that panther who did this.

Somewhere in Hueco Mundo, Grimmjow sneezed.

He felt like someone was talking shit about him.

Though he had no clue who it was.

A/N Truly wonder who was hunting Lucius down.
