Junior was in resonance when he all of his senses resonated, all getting assaulted with the laws. He got shocked enough that it broke through the spirit will Hou was using and he awoke fully.
The ground started to shake and space around him shifted. All around Junior, the world be American unstable, all the laws were being manipulated chaotically.
Junior screamed and covered his ears, tightly shutting his eyes.
Hou instantly went to comfort him, stopping the spirit will and disregarding the chaos around him.
"It's okay, your fine. You're awake now, looks there's nothing here"
Junior squinted, opening his eyes slightly and instantly shut them again. He screamed once more shaking his whole body.
"Its still here, I see it all, I hear it all, I feel it all!!"
Hou didn't know what to do and instantly used full force to force Junior into a non lucid sleep. Hou let out a breath.
Before resting too much, he saturated his body with many wills, summoning Araxis to speak.
"So what happened with Junior, I assume you looked at my memory like you do. Is he fine?"
"Hmmm... I can't say whether they're fine, no. This is a skill called resonance, where your senses become entangled with astral senses and you can sense laws even while not astrally projecting. Normally this is a skill you have to learn, even 8 circle mages have trouble with it. I've never seen somebody so attuned with mana and laws that it happens to them naturally. I'm not sure whether they can control it. But if we don't figure out how to control it.... They will die."
"Die?! Why and how can we stop it!"
"Resonance links you with the astral world, over time you start to dissolved into pure laws. If they can't solve it, they will disappear into nothing. However natural resonance might just be a blessing packaged with a curse. While in resonance you are highly attuned with mana and laws. They should be able to become a full mage then sort it out soon, if they live that long."
"But how do they stop it?"
"To stop it, they need to protect their consciousness from leaving their soul and entering the astral world. But to do that... I don't know. The best we can hope for is for them to naturally figure how to control it... This is something I've never seen. If only they had learnt it after gaining control. Best thing to do now is push through and teach them regardless."
"....I see"
Hou let Araxis sleep and awoke Yue with his remaining wills.
"Disciple! Did you forget about me? You need more piety to your master!"
"I apologise master, I've been busy after regressing. Thanks for your help there, it worked perfectly, we lost the spirit will but I'm back."
"Of course it worked, I made the formation, even if Araxis played a small part."
"Yes it is good to see you, actually I have another reason to ask you. Look through my recent memories..."
Yue looked through Hou's memories, seeing his disciple in pain and the conversation with Araxis.
"Hmmm, yes this is... A predicament. However, I might be a better person than Araxis in this case. While Araxis knows all about the consciousness and astral, I know about the soul. At least our souls, I don't know if those from Araxis' world works the same."
"So you have a solution to Junior's resonance!?"
"I think I do, yes. So the problem is the that they are constantly merging with the astral and their consciousness sees the astral world? And this is all in their soul... From my point of view they should give in."
"Give in, how would that help?"
"Not entirely giving up but they should merge with the astral world, but they should bring their soul into he astral as well. From what I can gather the soul is like a mini astral world, hence why we change laws, spirit will effects, only in our inner world. Therefore bringing in their own soul should block the laws from assimilating Junior."
"I see, that does make sense, and with the souls innate connection with the body they should still be able to send wills and move, albeit with difficulty."
Just as Hou finished talking, he used to the wills he generated and Yue fell back asleep. With only the wills he generated normally, with none saved, Yue carefully spoke one last thing,
"Good....luck"
Even though Yue would not hear Hou still said thanks and looked at Junior.
'Now all I need to do is somehow explain that to Junior and hope it works. In theory... It makes sense and Yue has some faith in it. I'll just hope he's right.'
Hou stopped his spirit will, releasing Junior from sleep. Instantly, Hou transferred a memory packet with a blood formation which contained what he needed to do according to the theory.
Junior while being assaulted on all fronts by the laws and being assimilation into the astral world, absorbed the memory packet. Instantly, he put it into action and started moving.
He stopped struggling against the astral world and fully focused on what he needed to do. He moved his soul and according to what Yue had told Hou, he separated his soul from body.
Usually this was an almost impossible task before expanding the soul to an inner world and especially this quickly, however resonance gave Junior many talents with it's downsides.
Junior's soul left his body, entering onto the astral world...
In the astral world, there were laws everywhere except now, the 'space' warped and there was a separate astral world. This was the soul.
The soul of humans from this universe was a miniature astral world, this was by the creation of Araxis, while Yue didn't know this he deduced it. He surpassed the creator in a solution!
The plan had worked and Junior calmed, he was now in the astral world as a pure consciousness. Consciousness was the lowest part of a person, then came the soul it controlled, then the mind and body.
