Chapter 51 - Chapter 51: The Green Lotus Core Flame in Hand

Chapter 51: The Green Lotus Core Flame in Hand

Lu Bu stroked his chin before pulling out the Companion Amethyst Source and waving it. "You want this?"

The Seven Colored Heaven Swallowing Python nodded eagerly, its tiny face brimming with desire as its childish hissing conveyed its longing.

"Alright, here you… actually, never mind." Lu Bu smacked his lips and handed the Amethyst Source over. "If you eat this, you have to follow me. Understood?"

The tiny python dove headfirst into the Amethyst Source and took a massive gulp, consuming nearly half the bottle in one go. Watching this, Lu Bu winced in pain, his heart aching at the waste.

"Hic~"

The python let out a satisfied burp and began circling around Lu Bu happily, its joy evident.

"Come here," Lu Bu said as he opened his robe, motioning for the little python to enter.

"Hiss~"

The python flicked its tail and nestled into Lu Bu's chest, curling up and closing its eyes. Having eaten too much, it needed some time to digest.

"Next up, time to collect the Heavenly Flame," Lu Bu said with a smile as he retrieved the Green Lotus platform and approached the Green Lotus Core Flame that floated in mid air.

A soft azure glow emanated from the flame, and the previously raging Green Lotus Core Flame condensed into a small, tame flame that obediently hovered at the center of the Green Lotus platform.

"With this in hand, it's time to leave," Lu Bu said with a light laugh.

But just then, a figure cloaked in blue flames hurtled toward him at high speed.

"Stop right there! Drop the Green Lotus Core Flame!" Gu He bellowed, his voice filled with rage as he charged toward Lu Bu.

Lu Bu raised an eyebrow. The so called "Pill King" Gu He?

Southeastern Tagore Desert

A black silhouette streaked through the air, leaving a deep trail in the sand below as it sped by, kicking up a cloud of dust.

"Where exactly did the boss say the Triple Jade Green Snake Flower Pupils were?" asked White Fang, the Eight Winged Black Serpent Emperor.

"Still some distance away… about an hour's flight," replied Green Python, who was perched on the serpent's back.

"Tsk, even though we already know about it, I still find it shocking," White Fang remarked, his tone carrying a hint of surprise. "That such a mythical thing actually exists."

"The boss said it's there, so it must be real. Huh?" Green Python suddenly froze and turned toward the north.

"Damn it, that's Medusa's aura!" White Fang came to an abrupt halt mid air, anger and worry mixed in his voice. "What happened to my wife? Why has her aura changed like this?"

"Ha, why don't you say that to her face?" Green Python retorted with a smirk.

"Let's go check it out!" Without hesitation, White Fang changed direction.

"Wait! What about the Triple Jade Green Snake Flower Pupils? If something goes wrong, we'll be in big trouble."

"It's not a big deal. Nothing around here can stop us. Besides, even if we can't win, we can still run."

With that, White Fang whipped his tail and vanished in a burst of speed.

Green Python didn't argue. The Flower Pupils weren't going anywhere, and as White Fang said, few in this region could truly challenge them.

Snake People Holy City, Outside the Temple

Yun Yun intercepted Mo Ba Si and Yan Ci, both of whom launched furious attacks and unleashed waves of venomous gas. But Yun Yun easily neutralized each strike. She didn't aim to kill; she merely deflected their blows and pushed them back without inflicting any real harm.

Her goal was to stall for time until Gu He secured the Green Lotus Core Flame not to provoke the Snake People into an all out war.

On the other side of the battlefield, Hua She launched relentless assaults against Feng Li and Yan Shi. But the two stood firm like immovable mountains, their combined efforts preventing her from advancing or retreating.

"Damn humans! Kill me if you dare!" Hua She shouted in fury, abandoning defense as her claws grew sharp and lashed out toward both Feng Li and Yan Shi.

The two men stepped back and swatted her attacks aside with light palm strikes.

But their counters pierced through Hua She's defenses, striking toward her chest. Both realized this was Hua She's desperate gambit, forcing them to either retreat and weaken their position or risk a direct confrontation.

Hua She's eyes gleamed with determination. She had to break through to return to the temple and stop Gu He from running rampant.

But just then, a green serpent's tail lashed into their battlefield, coiling tightly before snapping with tremendous force.

Bang!

Both Feng Li and Yan Shi stumbled back, their faces flushed. This sudden sneak attack had thrown them off balance.

"Yue Mei?" Hua She exclaimed in surprise. "When did you get here?"

"You… cough, forgot already?" Yue Mei maintained a neutral expression and answered casually. "I was the one who sent word about these humans."

"I just came from the temple. Gu He has already gone inside we couldn't stop him!"

At the mention of the temple, Hua She shifted her focus, her face darkening as she glared toward its direction.

"Let's join forces, finish them off, and then head to the temple!" Hua She's voice was cold, her shame over the humans infiltrating the temple fueling her anger.

Seeing the Snake People gain reinforcements, Feng Li and Yan Shi exchanged wary glances. "What's taking Gu He so long?"

"I don't know. Let's focus on our fight and leave the rest to him."

The two resumed their battle, cautious of their strengthened opposition.

But just then, an explosion of energy erupted from the temple, slamming into everyone's souls like a volcanic eruption.

"What terrifying soul power!" The combatants froze, their attention drawn toward the temple.

Yue Mei's face twitched. That was Lu Bu!

"That's Gu He?!" Yan Shi exclaimed in shock, mistaking the source of the soul power for the six star alchemist.

Boom!

A deafening roar erupted from the temple as a blue flamed figure shot forth at breakneck speed, tearing through the air.

Feng Li reacted instantly, moving to intercept. With a wave of his palms, a violent gust redirected the figure's trajectory.

Before anyone could process what happened, Yan Shi found himself at the receiving end.

Crash!

The blue figure slammed into Yan Shi, sending him crashing into the sand and burying half a dune.

"Sorry, Yan Shi. You were better suited for this," Feng Li apologized sincerely.

"You bastard, that's Gu He!" Yan Shi's muffled curse echoed from the sand.

"Oh, Gu He? That's even better… Wait, what?!" Feng Li's face paled as realization hit him.

A white clad figure emerged from the temple, a plain mask obscuring their face. Black wings beat softly behind them as they floated in mid air, holding the Green Lotus platform in one hand. On the platform, a flickering azure flame danced gently.

Feeling the figure's familiar aura and recognizing the flight technique, Yun Yun's eye twitched under her black robe. This brat… did he think I wouldn't recognize him just because he wore a mask?!
