Chapter 57 - 57. A New Journey to the Temple of the Sun

After confirming that Elena and Serena were safe, Merslin and his companions made their way to the royal library of Luminaria. Time was running out, and they needed more information to unravel the secrets of the disk. The library, said to hold ancient truths of this world, might contain the key they were looking for.

Once inside, they dove into the vast sea of old books and scrolls. The library, a massive archive of knowledge collected over centuries, welcomed them with silent wisdom. Determined, they scattered to search for any clue.

Lisa, though eager to help, began to feel the exhaustion of their long journey and recent battles creep in. The quiet hum of the library only made her eyelids heavier.

"Ugh..." she mumbled, rubbing her eyes and flipping another page. "So much to read… But I can't give up now."

She fought off the drowsiness, determined to stay useful to the group.

Meanwhile, Aria stayed laser-focused, eyes locked on the texts before her. Her fingers moved with elegant precision, flipping through ancient pages like magic as she hunted for vital clues.

Then, suddenly—she stopped.

"I found something!" Aria's voice broke the silence, filled with excitement. "There's a record saying that a truth uncovered in the Temple of the Sun may be the key to everything!"

Merslin and Lisa rushed over as Aria laid out the document.

"It says that the temple holds critical information. It could be directly connected to the disk," she explained, her voice brimming with conviction.

Lisa blinked off the sleep and leaned in. "I remember that temple… We've been there before. I can't believe we missed something so important."

Merslin narrowed his eyes, memories flashing back. "Yeah, we were there—but we overlooked something. There must've been a secret hidden right under our noses."

Piecing everything together, they came to a single conclusion: they had to return to the Temple of the Sun. This time, they wouldn't leave without uncovering the truth. What they once thought to be a place of worship might in fact hold a power capable of changing the fate of their world.

Still visibly tired, Lisa steeled herself. "We didn't realize it before… but now we know. We have to go back and uncover whatever lies beneath."

Aria nodded firmly. "We can't miss a single detail this time. We need to examine everything if we're going to unlock the secret of the disk."

Merslin looked at his companions and made the call. "Then it's settled. We return to the Temple of the Sun—and this time, we'll find the truth waiting for us."

With preparations quickly made, the group was ready. Another crucial trial awaited them. As they retraced their steps from the past, each of them silently promised not to overlook anything again.

"This time… we'll find the truth," Merslin said, voice firm with resolve.

Lisa and Aria nodded, their eyes determined despite the fatigue. "We'll uncover every secret hidden there," Lisa said, "and find the way to save this world."

With that, they left the grand halls of Luminaria's library behind, heading once more to the Temple of the Sun—ready to face whatever fate had in store for them.

Episode: The Secret Beneath the Temple of the Sun

After uncovering information in the royal library of Luminaria that a hidden truth beneath the Temple of the Sun might hold the key to decoding the disk, Merslin and his companions set off for the temple. They had visited the place once before, but this time, they returned with a clear purpose—to unearth the true secret buried beneath.

The interior of the temple remained as majestic as ever, filled with a mysterious energy that reinforced their resolve. But this time, they knew there was something beneath it.

Moving cautiously along the temple walls, the group began searching for a hidden passage. Aria, inspecting the patterns along the floor, found a small panel set into the stone. When she pressed it, a mechanical click echoed through the chamber, revealing a dark staircase descending into the depths.

"What we're looking for is down there," Merslin said, his voice firm.

Lisa and Aria exchanged tense glances and followed him down. Each step into the darkness made their hearts race. What they found at the bottom was a vast cavern, its center dominated by a massive anvil and a great hammer. Along the cavern walls were complex mechanical structures—clearly designed for one singular purpose.

Merslin stared in awe. "This... this must be the ancient computer—the one meant to decode the disk."

He slowly placed the disk on the anvil. Runes etched into the stone began to glow faintly, and the machines lining the walls groaned to life. Gears turned, and a long-silent system began awakening once more.

"Now we use the hammer," Aria whispered.

Merslin grasped the great hammer. It was heavy in his hands, but he summoned his strength and struck the disk. Nothing happened. He struck again—still no reaction.

"What's going on?" Merslin muttered, turning toward Elena.

Elena's face was tense with concentration as she began channeling her magic to trace the past. Serena moved to examine the machinery, trying to understand why it wasn't working.

Merslin, regaining his composure, stepped in to support Elena with his own magic. As her spell activated, the air around them shifted, and a faint glow wrapped the chamber. Slowly, scenes from the past began to appear before them.

What they saw left them stunned. Another Merslin—one from a different timeline—stood in that very chamber. He had come to forge the Sunblade, using a smaller anvil and hammer to activate the ancient computer. After retrieving vital information, he had taken the tools and left.

"This… that was me? From another timeline?" Merslin breathed.

Serena nodded. "That's why it won't work. That Merslin took the key components—the small anvil and hammer."

Lisa slowly drew the Sunblade from its sheath. "So this sword… it was forged here. Maybe it's the key now."

Elena examined the blade. "There's powerful magic infused into it. But to unlock its full potential, we'll need the help of the dragon in the Black Mountains."

Merslin nodded. "Then that's where we go. The dragon might know how to awaken this ancient power."

Lisa gripped the Sunblade tightly. "If anyone knows the true nature of this relic, it's a dragon. They could be the key to reactivating this machine."

Aria's expression was resolute. "The Black Mountains are dangerous—but this is a journey we must take."

Leaving the temple behind, the group began their journey south, toward the Black Mountains of Luminaria. There, they hoped to meet the dragon, uncover the hidden truth within the Sunblade, and find a way to reactivate the ancient machine. A new and crucial chapter in their adventure had begun—one that could change the fate of their world forever.
