The morning sun barely peeked through the curtains when Aurora stirred. The warmth pressed against her back was solid—too solid. And familiar.

Her heart stilled. She couldn't ignore the feeling, and wished she was still in a dream. Her eyes snapped open.

His arm was draped around her waist. His breaths were slow and steady against the back of her neck. His grip on her was possessive but not as possessive as before where he made bold statements with his hold that she was stuck with him. Right now, he held her like he belonged there.

Aurora's pulse hammered. What the hell had she done? What happened last night?

She hadn't invited him to stay. She hadn't wanted him to stay. She sucked in a sharp breath, trying to think. She needed to move.

The moment she shifted, the arm around her waist immediately tightened.

A deep, sleepy groan rumbled against the back of her neck. She felt the slow, languid drag of his breath against her skin, sending an involuntary shiver down her spine.
