No cheats, no plan, no second chances—just a quiet resolve and a will to survive no matter what it takes. Meanwhile, in the high-fantasy world of Ragir, Astra van Vontrea, a prince with more enemies than allies, enters Valkorion, the most prestigious academy on the entire continent. Here, talent is everything, and the weak are discarded. Astra doesn't just want to prove himself—he wants to be the best. The strongest. The one no one dares to challenge. As both Kirko and Astra climb their own unforgiving paths, something begins to stir—a thread connecting their worlds, hidden deep beneath blood, power, and forgotten truths. In the Epoch of the Forsaken, heroes are forged in isolation... and destiny doesn't knock—it drags you.

Chapter 1 - The Game Begins

Tapping his pen on the wooden desk while staring out at the vast blue sky, his face resting on his knuckles,

Kirko sat in class, not even thinking about what the teacher was talking about. All he could hear was the ticking sound of the clock.

'And 60, another minute has passed and now I am one more step closer to go home.' He smiles as he leans on his desk while stretching his arms straight.

He gets back up, 'If I jump over the school wall from the back I can save myself a good 2 minutes.' He puts his hand on his mouth and thinks about the most ideal route to reach his home, 'The faster I get home, the faster I can get the game.'

Kirko was talking about the new game which was going to launch today. From the trailers, the game was said to take the world of video games into a new era. He continues to think about the fastest possible route, 'Ah, another minute passed.' After a few more seconds he interlocks the fingers of both his hands and places them near his mouth. He sat on his desk with a smile, 'And that's how I will get home in 5 minutes.' His smile grew bigger.

But that's when disaster struck. He felt it, his bladder clenched, 'Right now?? But there's only 45 seconds left for the class to get over.' His smile turned into a face full of concentration as he tapped his legs with immense speed, 'I can handle it. It's just a little feeling. I can stall till I reach home.'

As if the gods wanted to make him suffer, just as soon as he thought about ignoring it, the feeling grew stronger. He couldn't handle holding it for 5 minutes.

"Ok class, that's it for today, make sure to submit your homework before you leave..."

Kirko pushed his teacher aside, running to leave the class, "Thank you sir, see you in the next class."

"Wait Kirko, your homewor..." He sighed, 'Well looks like he's gone.' He turned back to the class.

"As for the rest of you, put your homework on the table before you leave." He tapped on the table lightly.

Pssssssssss, "Yeah, that's the feeling." Kirko smiled with joy as he peed into the pristine white toilet, standing in the only stall which was clean and free of any graffiti in the bathroom.

Just as he finished and zipped up his pants, the air near him felt ominous. His body trembled, "What's this feeling?" He ignored it and went to wash his hands. The ground started to tremble. Kirko maintained his balance, "An earthquake?? This is the first time I've felt one."

But after just a second, it stopped. Kirko stood perplexed at what had just happened.

A soft and soothing voice spoke in his head, "Welcome to the game... Player."

Kirko instinctively turned his head back, "Who was that?" only to find no one there. He put his hand on his head, "Wow, I'm so bored that I am hearing things." He smirked, "I really have gone crazy."

He ran his hand through his hair and then noticed a blue screen in front of him, looking like something that would come from a game.

Kirko slightly turned his head, "Wow, I really need some sleep." He took out his hand to wipe away the blue screen. With more force than expected, he hit the screen to realize it was hard as steel and was not just an airy object.

"AHHHHHHHHH!" He screamed as he looked at his palm, having a red mark from the hit.

"W-What? This is real? Did the world become like that of a webtoon?"

Then from thin air, two daggers formed in his hand.

"Daggers?" He looked at the daggers, "If this is like that of a game, I can inspect this somehow." He looked at his daggers, "This looks cool." Then he held the dagger harder and said in his mind, 'Inspect'. Right in front of him, another screen popped up.

System -

Black Mist Daggers

Grade A

Ability - The player can teleport using their daggers – Just throw a dagger and teleport to the thrown dagger.

Kirko looked at it, his jaw wide open, "Cool name and an amazing ability." He glanced at his daggers, "And it's an A grade, it must be a strong one." He thought for a bit, 'I need to go to the roof. From there I can see what's happening on the school ground.'

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh." A scream from a nearby class flowed through the hallway, 'Looks like the goblins are real from that scream, and it confirms that they are at the ground.' Kirko thought, walking towards the roof, looking inside all the classes just to see most of the students looking out of the window and others sitting in denial, their faces pale and full of fear.

'This feels like a dream, but the feeling of this being real is so strong for some reason.' He clenched his dagger, 'Why does it feel so real?'

Like a ghost, his presence so faint, he walked step by step towards the rooftop door. He kicked the rooftop door with as much force as he could. Just as the door slammed open, a gust of cold air rushed towards him, with a cold gaze.

"What a breeze." He looked up to see the vast blue sky, but it was not blue, but rather blood red, looking like chaos would occur soon. He glanced around the roof to see a group of students who were sitting with a horrifying expression on their faces. He moved towards the edge of the roof and looked down to see a horde of goblins on the bottom, 'Damn, I didn't expect them to be so ugly.'

"Here, take this."

A voice from behind him spoke. Kirko turned around to see a boy with messy hair handing him some metal balls.

He then looked at him in confusion and pointed at himself. The boy replied with a nod, 'Someone's talking to me?' In the 2 years Kirko spent in the school, there was not even one person who talked to him. He was basically a ghost, not even having 1 friend to his name. But it was also his fault—he couldn't even start a conversation with someone. It was like a boss that he could never win, even if he tried. So he gave up and just played games. But now, right in front of him, there was a person actually talking to him.

Kirko took the balls and looked at him, not even speaking a word. Then he looked at his clothes, 'That's not our school's uniform. He's from another school, so why is he here?' Kirko wanted to ask him but was too socially awkward to talk to him, so he just nodded his head, then turned his attention to the metal balls.

SYSTEM -

Metallic Grenade

Grade C

Ability - Only known to the player

'These are grenades?? And only grade C, so my weapon is stronger.' He smirked with joy, Then looked at screen again, "I can't see the ability, hmm that's interesting." he puts his palm on his mouth.

"That's my weapon."

Kirko looked at him, his head slightly tilted, 'I already knew that, smartass.' But didn't say it out loud.

Then the messy-haired boy spoke, faint and serious, "Go get them, you monster."

Kirko opened his eyes to notice that he was falling right into the horde of monsters.

"Why am I falling, did he push me? No I..."
