Ryul studied the young man in front of him, easily catching the eagerness in his eyes, which seemed to sparkle like stars. There was something so unguarded about it.
In that moment, Ryul couldn't help but liken him to a fluffy bunny–soft and cute.
"Where were you heading?" he asked casually, though he didn't bother to hide his interest. It was clear Jihoon had been mid-errand before their unexpected run-in in front of the elevator.
"Oh, I was just about to go buy some ice cream from the convenience store," Jihoon replied with a cheerful chirp.
Ryul watched him for a second, noticing the cheerfulness on Jihoon's face. It was a nice sight to see after so many days of not witnessing it.
"Is that so? But isn't it a bit far? I can go with you," Ryul offered, stepping aside with an open-handed gesture toward the elevator.
"It's really alright though…" Jihoon began, a half-hearted objection that trailed off as he stepped into the elevator anyway, lips curving into a small smile.
