Chapter 149 - Chaos King’s Vampire Betrayal and Train-Track Takedown

Kraven, seething as Raja's Naruto-style sprint faded into London's misty night, turned his fury on Selene. His ego bruised by Raja's taunt—"Stop eyeing my girl!"—he slapped her hard, snarling, "You'll pay for this pet nonsense!"

Selene's cheek stung, but her icy glare promised vengeance as Kraven stormed out.

Halfway down an alley, Raja, mid-escape, felt the slap through their soulmate bond, his blood boiling. "That fucker hit my goddess!" he roared, ready to Teleport back and turn Kraven into vampire jerky.

MAYA intervened, "Master, chill! Kraven's torture comes later—vampire-Lycan war's heating up. Stick to the plan."

Raja, fuming, punched a brick wall, shattering it like a piñata, his anger spent in a cloud of dust. "Fine, MAYA. But Kraven's on my list."

Back at the mansion, Selene unleashed her rage at the shooting range, blasting stone target faces into powder with her Berettas.

Kahn, the grizzled weapons smith, sauntered in, tossing her a shiny new Desert Eagle. "Try this beast," he grinned.

Selene fired, and where the bullets hit, the stone oozed a silvery liquid, leaving her gobsmacked. "Kahn, you cracked the Lycans' UV rounds and made Lycan-killers?" she gasped.

Kahn nodded, "Liquid silver nitrate—mixes with their bloodstream, burns like hell, stops regeneration."

Over the shooting range, they dissed Kraven's leadership, Selene questioning if he really killed Lucian, the True Alpha Lycan. Kahn shrugged, "Viktor believed it. That's what counts." Selene's gut screamed betrayal.

In a grimy London alley, Kraven slid into a car beside none other than Lucian, alive and snarling.

They bickered over the Metro shootout, Lucian snapping, "Quit fussing about the human, Kraven. I bled for you once, made you what you are. Stay low, focus on your role."

Kraven, sulky, muttered, "Public shootings? Sloppy." From a rooftop, Raja, using Telepathy to eavesdrop, grinned like a kid catching Santa.

"Kraven and Lucian, BFFs? This war's juicier than a soap opera!"

MAYA: "Master, you're one plot twist from directing this mess."

At the mansion, Selene pored over dusty tomes in the library, hunting for Raja's hinted "pendant." She found a war chronicle detailing Kraven's "heroic" survival of Lucian's fortress assault, returning with Lucian's branded skin, torching the castle, and earning glory.

A faded photo showed Lucian's shoulder brand—and a pendant matching the one on the Lycan Raja kicked.

The pieces clicked: Lucian lived, Kraven lied, Raja knew. Furious, Selene resolved to wake Elder Viktor before Elder Amelia's arrival.

She slipped into the sleep chambers, distracting a guard with a false information, "Kahn ask your presence" and activated Viktor's tomb.

His shriveled corpse lay still until she bit her wrist, dripping blood—her normal vampire blood, not Raja's sealed demigod juice courtesy of Maya—jumpstarting his heart.

Selene hid Viktor in a secret tomb room, hooking him to blood bags, then bolted to her quarters, awaiting his call.

Kraven, hearing Selene snooping near the tombs, sensed something off reached the tombs to check.

A chilling voice froze him: "What is this ruckus, Kraven?"

Viktor, a fanged, blue-eyed humanoid corpse, loomed, blood bags dangling.

Kraven dropped to his knees, quaking.

"Why was I awakened, servant?" Viktor growled, glaring.

Kraven stammered, "I don't know my lord but I will find out soon."

Viktor, livid, twitching with Selene's chaotic memories—fed via her blood—explaining Lycans, Lucian, and Kraven's betrayal.

"Where's Marcus?" he barked.

Kraven repeated the schedule, trembling. "Marcus slumbers, Amelia arrives tomorrow to wake him. Selene woke you a century early my Lord!"

Enraged, Viktor summoned Selene. She bowed, but he waved off formalities, snarling, "Why wake me early, daughter?"

Selene spilled: Lycans hunted a human, Lucian likely lived, Kraven was a traitor. Her blood-memories, distorted by her non-elder status, were a jumbled mess.

Viktor roared, "You woke me with no clear evidence, just chaos! Your control over memories are weak—elders manage awakening memories for a reason!"

Selene pleaded, "I shot Lucian with Raja by my side!"

Viktor scoffed, "That human monkey you call a mate? A disgrace! I raised you as my daughter, and you trust a human? Let Kraven find Lucian's trail whether it is real or your delusion?"

Selene, silenced, felt his disappointment like a blade.

Viktor declared, "Following our rules—elders leapfrogging time for 14 centuries—kept us alive. You broke the chain, the covenant. The council will judge you when Amelia arrives."

Tears welled in Selene's eyes as Kraven and his goons hauled her away, locking her in her room under house arrest.

Kraven smirked, "Lucky if I convince the council to spare you."

Selene, defiant, stared him down, "Did you cut Lucian's skin, or did he do it himself?"

Kraven's face twisted; he slammed the door, barking at the guards, "My future queen doesn't escape for a lesser species."

Kraven, shifting gears, met Kahn's tactical team prepping to escort Elder Amelia.

He swapped them for Soren, his loyal thug, leaving the team fuming.

Raja, tailing Soren's crew via Vayu Putra stealthily, reached an old railway station where Amelia's train was due.

Soren's gang loitered, suspicious, as Raja slipped into the station, cloaked in shadows.

The train roared in, and—predictably—Lycans swarmed, tearing through vampires like rabid dogs.

Soren's crew watched, smirking, clearly in on the ambush.

Raja, perched in a train car, muttered, "Time to crash this furry party."

As a Lycan lunged for Amelia, Raja hurled a silver knife, nailing it in the skull. Blood splattered Amelia's stunned, regal face. "My lady, stay behind me while I kick Lycan ass!"

Raja quipped, his fists and feet a blur, sending Lycans flying.

The tight train car hampered his killing blows, but he fought like a caffeinated Bruce Lee.

Soren's gang, spotting Amelia's savior, charged to finish her.

Raja, unfazed, lobbed a smoke bomb, clouding the car, then tossed a C4 with a 10-second timer.

Scooping Amelia over his shoulder, he bolted, leaping from the train as it BOOMED behind them, Lycans howling in the wreckage.

Raja whisked Amelia to a warehouse from Selene's memories, safe for now.

Using Telepathy and their mate bond, he sent Selene a cryptic message: "Warehouse, moon goddess. Bring your A-game."

Back at the mansion, Erica, seeing Selene's doom looming with the council, took action. She triggered a power outage, sending guards scrambling.

Slipping into Selene's room, she handed over her gear, whispering, "Go, girl!"

Selene, touched, hugged and kissed Erica's cheek, vowing, "I'll never forget this."

She donned her leather and guns, leapt from the window, and peeled out in her car.

Feeling Raja's telepathic ping, she grinned, flooring it to the secret hideout, ready for chaos.

MAYA: "Master, you've turned this war into a rescue cop flick!"
