Though this divine artifact was indeed powerful, it was merely a relic of a third-tier god. For a first-tier god like the Rakshasa, it felt somewhat unimpressive—neither satisfying to use nor easy to discard.
However, because the original Rakshasa had been unable to subdue Bibi Dong after investigating her, she used this artifact as bait to entice Bibi Dong into inheriting her divine position and then fled.
At this moment, Ye Wen's expression was exaggeratedly miserable as he theatrically raised his hands in surrender.
"Dong'er, I'm innocent! Hear me out!"
Seeing Ye Wen's overly dramatic behavior, Bibi Dong rolled her eyes, retracted her dagger, and lightly kicked him.
They were an old married couple now, so Bibi Dong naturally didn't doubt Ye Wen's integrity. If she had intended to harm him, she would have acted long ago. Clearly, there was more to the story. With an exasperated tone, she asked,
"Alright, spill it. What were you doing sneaking into Na'er's room in the middle of the night?"
Ye Wen abandoned his playful demeanor and solemnly recounted Na'er's issue.
Bi Bi Dong actually liked Na'er quite a bit, so upon hearing the reason, her expression darkened. Such a problem within the family was truly troubling.
"If only I hadn't let you marry that woman! What kind of mess is this?"
Bibi Dong also pressed her hand against her forehead in frustration.
Indeed, pain doesn't disappear—it simply transfers.
After achieving godhood, one could use divine energy to erase memories, reincarnate souls, or even resurrect beings.
But splitting one's soul into two parts, creating a shared consciousness between separate bodies—this was something neither Ye Wen nor Bibi Dong had ever encountered before.
Moreover, the two individuals had lived their own lives over a long period of time, only to bizarrely merge back together now, resulting in this infuriating ethical dilemma. It was enough to drive anyone mad.
And yet, this problem couldn't be ignored, making it all the more frustrating.
Bibi Dong began to regret meddling in this mess.
Wait, this was the head of the household's problem, wasn't it? It really had nothing to do with her. Time to sleep.
"Ah~ I'm so tired, dear. This problem is yours to solve. I hope you can find a perfect solution. I'm going to bed."
With that, Bibi Dong vanished in a flash, returning to her room and locking the door firmly behind her.
(TロT)σ Seriously?! Why did Bibi Dong run off so quickly? Shouldn't she have stayed to help her husband resolve this difficult issue?
Just moments ago, Ye Wen had been thinking, 'Yes, if only I hadn't married the Silver Dragon King in the first place. After all, I already had a soul beast wife.
But who would've thought Bibi Dong would be so disloyal as to flee without hesitation?
"Alas, I'll have to rely on myself after all -_-||"
Upon reflection, though he already had a soul beast wife, Ah Yin's identity alone wasn't enough to unite all the soul beasts of Douluo Star under one banner. Only the Silver Dragon King's princess status and the strongest bloodline could subdue those unruly creatures.
Returning to Yue Na's bedroom,
Ye Wen gazed at the sleeping beauty beside him, unsure of what to say. He sighed deeply and sat alone at the tea table for a long while before finally drifting off to sleep alongside Yue Na.
The next morning, Ye Wen still felt groggy.
But upon seeing the empty bed beside him, now permeated only by Yue Na's lingering fragrance, Ye Wen finally began to seriously contemplate how to handle this matter.
Though the human ethics of the old Tian Dou and Xing Luo feudal era had been chaotic, Ye Wen had worked tirelessly to redefine them, stabilizing society and eliminating the barbaric practices of the past.
If Ye Wen wanted to act recklessly, he certainly could. After all, he was now the undisputed authority on Douluo Star. But doing so would negate the rules he himself had established. Once such a precedent was set, it would become the biggest ticking time bomb for the system.
After much deliberation, Ye Wen still couldn't come up with a solution. Finally, with a heavy sigh, he decided to seek Yue Na's help in resolving the issue.
Yue Na's duties were leisurely. She spent her days either using her growing divine energy to heal old wounds or handling simple matters related to the soul beast race.
When Ye Wen found Yue Na, she was sitting in a courtyard, leisurely enjoying afternoon tea.
"Oh my, it's rare for you to visit me at this hour, dear husband. Is there something on your mind?"
Yue Na set down her teacup and looked directly at Ye Wen, her gaze carrying a hint of scrutiny.
The atmosphere around Ye Wen was heavy, as Na'er's issue had left him deeply troubled.
"You should know why I'm here."
But Yue Na's expression showed none of the panic Ye Wen had expected. Instead, she calmly took another sip of tea and replied indifferently,
"I don't know what you're talking about, dear. Please stop speaking in riddles."
Yue Na's calm demeanor only fueled Ye Wen's irritation. His brows furrowed deeply as he leaned forward, placing his hands on the table with his fingers interlaced.
"Don't pretend to be innocent!
I specifically told you before our marriage not to involve Na'er, and you agreed. So why is Na'er in this situation now? You must understand better than I do!"
Yet Yue Na remained unfazed.
Setting down her teacup, she met Ye Wen's gaze without a trace of guilt.
"In truth, I haven't broken our agreement. You only told me not to touch Na'er's body or engage in deep communication with her, and I've adhered to that, haven't I?
You seem to enjoy this body every night. Why are you blaming me now?"
Looking into Yue Na's composed eyes, Ye Wen felt utterly stunned.
From a purely literal standpoint, Yue Na hadn't misunderstood his earlier words. She had indeed used her true form to bond with him. But the issue now was Na'er's body's strange linked reactions, which made Ye Wen feel deeply uneasy.
However, Yue Na didn't pause her words despite Ye Wen's bewilderment. She continued,
"I don't know what you're agonizing over now, but Na'er and I are essentially one person. After all, we both originate from the Silver Dragon King.
If we follow human ethics, Na'er and I should be considered sisters. Now that I, the elder sister, have become your wife, Na'er isn't just your daughter—she's also your sister-in-law. Am I wrong?"
Her logic was sound, and Ye Wen numbly nodded in agreement.
But something about the direction of this conversation felt off.
"So what exactly are you fretting about, my dear husband?
If you want to take Na'er as your wife too, I have no objections. Or, if you'd prefer, I can fully merge with Na'er to become a single, complete individual—I'd support that as well."
As soon as Yue Na finished speaking,
Ye Wen abruptly stood up, knocking his chair over in the process. His gaze locked fiercely onto Yue Na.
