Roa continued to nod; he would definitely have a confrontation, but first, he wanted to see if he could win.
"Of course, with your current strength, you probably aren't his match yet. You should go and apprentice under him, learn all his techniques, and then challenge him to a fight, and give him a good beating," Ghislaine said.
None of the Seven Great Powers are easy to deal with. Although the Old Sword God ranks sixth among them, it doesn't mean his strength is weak. In a sense, the Old Sword God is undoubtedly a prodigy.
How many can be on the list without being exceptional?
In terms of overall combat power, while it may not be easy for Roa to defeat him, it is certainly not impossible.
However, if he wants to engage in a battle in the area where the other excels, the difficulty increases significantly.
Human lifespans are indeed limited, but it is this limited life that ignites infinite vitality.
"I actually want to defeat him," Roa admitted.
A smile appeared on Ghislaine's usually indifferent face. Roa had never seen Ghislaine smile like this before; it felt somewhat eerie, like a beastman warrior's smile. Eris slowly spoke, "You want to become a Sword God."
This was a statement, not a question.
If anyone else stood in front of Ghislaine and said they wanted to become a Sword God, Ghislaine would scoff.
The Old Sword God may have a terrible personality, but the fact that he has maintained his position as the Sword God speaks volumes.
Even if Eris stood before Ghislaine and said she wanted to defeat the Old Sword God, Ghislaine would not take it seriously.
But if it were Roa, it might actually be possible.
Ghislaine did not say much more, only stating, "I can't give you accurate information. My strength isn't enough to force Master to get serious. If you want to win, just go to the Holy Land of Swords. I'm sorry, but I can't accompany you. Just mention my name when you get there."
Roa nodded, not surprised by this outcome.
While they were talking, Eris had searched around and finally found the two at the training ground.
Roa looked over and saw that the little girl had already put on her usual outfit, wearing a set of loose, practical clothing and a light brown leather armor. The girl cheerfully waved at the two, saying, "Hey, Roa, Master Ghislaine, are you training?"
After saying that, she walked over to Roa.
Roa and Ghislaine exchanged glances, and Ghislaine thought for a moment and said, "I'm hungry."
Roa nodded, "Alright, we haven't eaten yet. Let's eat first and then train."
The food was average, and the training was like any other day, nothing special.
During the lunch break, Roa called Rudeus over to discuss, and in the end, Roa decided to take Rudeus home to visit.
Norn and Aisha had grown so much; if they didn't see each other for too long, they would surely become estranged.
Rudeus was overjoyed at the thought of going home, images flashing through his mind, finally settling on Sylphy's face.
It had been a long time since they last met; he wondered how Sylphy was doing.
On the nth day of missing Sylphy.
After some discussion, they decided to go home the day after tomorrow.
Although Paul believed that letting Rudeus work independently would cultivate his spirit of independence, Roa felt there was no need to strictly adhere to Paul's words.
Family bonds are still important; while ties can be a constraint, in a sense, they are also essential.
In this world, there is not only love; familial love is equally precious.
A relationship worth valuing is very important for anyone.
Rudeus strongly supported Roa's decision and expressed that it would be fine to stay a few more days at home.
Roa said nothing, and Rudeus smiled awkwardly, knowing he had pushed his luck.
After learning that he could go home, Rudeus felt that life suddenly had hope again, and he worked harder at other tasks, even managing to last a few more minutes in sparring with Eris before going down.
Such a noticeable change was even detected by Ghislaine.
As the saying goes, "A person in good spirits is invigorated by happy events," and Rudeus gave everyone that impression.
A day quickly passed.
As night fell, Eris, just like the previous day, came to Roa's room.
Roa was still sitting at his desk, pen in hand, pondering something.
Noticing Eris's arrival, Roa waved his hand, and the girl ran over to his side.
He embraced the girl and continued with his task.
Of course, the research time wouldn't last too long, especially with Eris's eager eyes watching him.
After a while, Roa sighed, put down his pen, and began to recount the day's events.
Time quickly arrived at the day Roa had agreed upon with Rudeus. He greeted Eris and Ghislaine and prepared to set off with Rudeus.
Disliking the slow speed of the carriage, Roa called over the silly dragon that was resting on the mountaintop.
Walking to the wilderness, a large red dragon spread its wings and descended. Upon seeing the red dragon, Rudeus instinctively swallowed hard, his eyes wide with shock.
Roa patted Rudeus on the shoulder and walked towards the red dragon, which lowered its head and affectionately rubbed against Roa.
The red dragon had grown even larger; its once fiery red scales were now mixed with obsidian-like scales.
It was only natural for the red dragon to become this way due to the nourishment of the magic species. The increase in size was also within the normal range; after all, the previous red dragon was just a young dragon. Normally, the growth cycle of a red dragon is very long, but due to the magic species, the red dragon had effectively been given a growth spurt, comparable to that of other young dragons of the same age.
Its body was nearly six meters long, and while it was still not considered massive compared to other red dragons, it was certainly not weak.
Roa reached out to pat the red dragon's head, mounted it, and waved to Rudeus, who was still standing there in a daze, saying impatiently, "Rudeus, are you not going to get on? How long are you planning to stand there?"
At Roa's words, Rudeus snapped out of his daze, his legs trembling slightly as he approached the massive dragon, looking up at the enormous creature with a mix of awe and fear.
Roa extended his hand, and wind elements gathered beneath Rudeus's feet, lifting him gently into the air and onto the back of the red dragon.
Rudeus still felt a bit dazed, filled with many questions.
