Kanata was enjoying the view of the city again. She could travel to that moment specifically, but it would be harder to remember the landscape. It could maybe distort reality if she remembered things incorrectly, since her memory was crucial for the power to work.
I'm in my body from before. That means only my memory came back. I wouldn't want to fight myself, so that's good.
The pink and yellow portal opened. She knew the blue haired boy would come out and freeze everything, so she just passed through it with no hesitation and grabbed his neck. He started opening his eyes.
Shit! I can't let him see the city!
Before he could finish opening his eyes, she hit him in the stomach, sending him flying towards the dark wall and breaking it. She finally looked around to know where she was.
— Yeah, this definitely isn't Earth. The gravity is stronger, the air is dry and it's hot as hell here.
Wave, the king, and Tempera stared at her in disbelief. They couldn't even realize she was on the other side of the portal before she punched Freet. She looked at them with contempt.
— Before we get started, does anybody want to get out?
Kanata looked at the other sides of the dark throne room. There was no one besides them. Wave jumped towards her and grabbed her head with both hands.
— Don't destroy my damn castle. Let's fight outside-
She catched his arms and broke them easily. Angry, Tempera swung her hammer towards the hero's back, hitting it with enough force to make her fly through the big window.
— Are you okay, king?
— Don't worry about me, Tempera. I can heal my arms with magic, remember?
— I regret that I was unable to prevent further damage.
— Forget about that and let's enjoy the fight.
They jumped out of the window to find their opponent. When they reached the ground, they saw a huge mountain coming towards them. It destroyed much of the landscape, but they managed to prevent the kingdom from being hit, since they were dozens of kilometers away. Kanata appeared behind them, with a bloodthirsty look.
Wave shook the ground, making an earthquake strong enough to almost reach the kingdom. Some huge rock islands came out of the ground. Tempera hit them with her hammer and sent them towards Kanata, who punched them easily. The girl, however, used the distraction to jump behind her and land a perfect hit on her back. Her entire body warmed up slightly.
Phy took little damage, but enough to be distracted for a few seconds. As she was falling, she looked behind to throw a rock towards Tempera. Wave landed a punch on her head, making it vibrate intensely. As she was stunned, he grabbed shirt and headbutted her with his maximum strength. She went flying towards a mountain far away. Her body pierced a whole mountain range, sending powerful shockwaves after each hit.
A strong earthquake hit the entire landscape. Wave managed to reach there before Kanata could stand up. He threw a punch towards her, who instantly got up and punched his fist. The impact was so powerful that the mountain range got almost disintegrated. Her punch, however, was much stronger. His arm blew up.
Tempera appeared behind her again and swung her hammer. Predicting that, Kanata catched the hammer and swung it towards the ground, damaging the user. The girl got much angrier and stood up quickly. Her eyes glowed red, almost in a feral way. Her speed and strength increased greatly. She dropped the hammer and grabbed Kanata's head from the front. She was so fast that not even the king could see it.
She pushed Kanata's head towards the ground, laying her body down. She dragged her for kilometers. A trail of molten lava was left in the way. Their bodies were almost as hot as a volcano now. Speaking of volcanoes, Wave made another earthquake, while Tempera made the whole scenery hot as the hell. The landscape was made of lava now. Wave's power made a mountain appear where they were. Lava gushed from it. It was a giant volcano.
It was bigger and much hotter than Mount Everest. They were above the clouds now. In contrast, the air began to cool down quickly. Tempera left the place as fast as she could. The molten scenery suddenly froze. It was Freet's power.
Kanata managed to dodge it at the last second. She jumped so high that she reached a small moon. She looked at the surface of the planet. The region they were in was a sandstone desert, but there was much more than that. The planet was also much bigger than Earth. She began to break the surface of the moon and throw huge chunks of rocks towards the place they were in.
A rain of meteors started destroying the frozen scenery. Kanata landed again on the planet, releasing a shockwave strong enough to push the mountains away. She managed to reach the boy and grab his shoulder. She punched his back while holding him close to her. His ribs broke instantly. He grabbed her hand and started freezing it slowly. She kicked him in the crotch and he collapsed instantly.
Tempera touched the palm of her hand on Kanata's back, heating her heart up. Phy did a back flip and grabbed her head, squeezing it. Her skull broke, but she managed to catch Kanata's head and headbutt her with her maximum strength. She fainted instantly, as her head started vibrating and spinning from the impact.
Kanata's body flew so far that she was now in a rainforest. She got stopped by a giant tree. It was so big that it could be seen from space. The trees started to shake violently, releasing the birds sitting on them. The colossal tree managed to stay on the ground, but everything else was falling apart. Several ravines appeared, slashing the landscape. Some huge chunks left the ground and became flying islands.
Wave jumped towards them and punched them. They were launched towards Kanata, who grabbed the giant tree from the ground and swung it, like a baseball bat. The islands got crushed, since the wood was somehow much stronger than them. She hit Wave, who went flying towards the sky. He pointed his finger towards the forest. An island bigger than the others started floating from all the vibrations.
Kanata was standing on it. She tossed the tree away and punched the ground to plant her arm on the surface. She swung it and released it towards Wave. He made a hole with his power on the island, avoiding it by very little. She actually stood on the island, waiting for the right moment to punch it. When she was above the king, she punched it down, taking him by surprise.
The island collided with the surface and released an atomic shockwave. The forest vanished from existence. Wave was lying on the floor, exhausted and defeated. She landed next to him, looking down but respectfully at him.
— I never faced someone stronger than you before. You can't die no matter how many times I kill you.
— That's a birth curse I have, I can't really die. But I can say the same for you. I never fought someone stronger than me since I became a king. What's your name, warrior?
— Ishikawa Kanata. Nice to meet you, Wave.
— How do you know my name?
— Long story. I'm leaving now, the portal might close if I don't.
— Wait, don't you want to become the queen of Lunig?
— What? Like, marry you?
— No, I mean replace me. I took the previous king's place by defeating him. It's only fair that you become the queen now.
— So your country really values the fight, huh.
Kanata looked at the sky, thoughtfully.
— Nah, I'd rather be with my brother forever. By the way, if you touch him, you're dead.
— I won't, don't worry. I see that you values your family, like me.
— They're your family?
— In a spiritual way, yes. We've known each other since we were kids.
— Alright, I'm sorry if I killed them.
— They're not dead yet, don't worry. Even if they were, it was meant to happen.
Kanata turned her back to return. She started walking, as Wave tried to reach her.
— Wait! I hope we fight each other again. I'll be much stronger when that happens!
She smiled slightly.
— I'll be stronger too! You won't catch up to me, not even in a dream!
— Don't you dare dying to someone weaker than me!
— You're not the only one who can't die, idiot.
She jumped away, disappearing on the horizon. Wave smiled, proud of himself.
I finally found a new objective! I have a reason to become stronger again!
