It was dawn now. Simon was still knocked out on the floor. I had knocked him out with my powers after he asked me that question. It had not been intentional, purely instinctual.
I was glad I did, though, I did not want to answer his question and I was not going to answer it anyway, even if he was awake.
I freshened up but even after I was done, he was still not awake so I decided to go get some breakfast from the kitchen. I was walking down the hall when a pair of strong hands dragged me into a small room.
I did not have time to react or defend myself before I was flung into the room.
Funny how my instinct seemed to kick in only when it wanted to and not when it probably needed to. I was ready to summon a blast of ice before I saw who it was.
"Baurbius," I called, quite taken aback. "What is this? What are you doing?"
"What is that thing?" He hissed at me. "Are you insane? Summoning something like that in my home?"
