Alexis blinked her eyes open and sat up on the bed with a groggy expression. She stretched her muscles and slumped her body, eyes glancing around the room.
As if it were a switch, the expression on her face shifted, and every trace of joy wiped off. This wasn't Keeelion's room. Even after two weeks, she still hasn't gotten used to the idea of waking up, but not to him.
What she would give to be able to wake up next to her mate again—the man she loved.
A sudden knock coming at the door pulled her out of her thought and she lifted her gaze toward the door.

Alexis was off the bed in barely seconds towards Augustus. She snatched the clothing from him and pulled it to her nose, sniffing it.
