With an astounded face, she raised her eyebrow "then I would like to meet him" Emelia said.
Vincent who was bothered by Jae Won's behavior became mute throughout their dinner. He immediately stood up from his seat and walked towards his room leaving Emelia back at the family.
Samuel on the other hand dragged Jae Won away to his own room and decided to play with him. "Shouldn't you be doing your homework?" Jae Won asked as he was not in the mood to to play around.
Samuel stared at him, his eyes unmoved "it's the weekend dear so no school" he answered. After a few minutes, Jae Won is seen playing Ludo with him on the floor of his room.
Emelia and Mrs Gladys kept talking as they entered the night forgetting it's getting late. Emelia was so happy she could score some points from her future mother in law. Mrs Gladys on the other hand had no idea Emelia was trying to score some points for the future.
She only thought they could click which is rare sometimes since she is far too old to click with a young woman. Mrs Gladys kept talking about her youth and how she met Mr Jonathan, her husband.
Vincent was moody sitting in his room picking fights with unnecessary things including his television.
The morning sun permeated through the mansion and Emelia was so in a good mood. She can't wait to start her intern on Monday. She was so ready to meet the other workers and at the big company in the country so far.
She was hurt when she came from having a deep conversation with Mrs Gladys only to text Vincent and there was no reply. She thought he was alseep but she heard noises coming from his room.
She wanted them to have an evening stroll down the road with her boyfriend only to text him and no reply.
After she took her shower, she went straight to Vincent's room and knocked. "Why didn't you reply my text?" Emelia asked, her voice deeper than how it is after Vincent opened the door.
"I guess I was asleep" Vincent replied but Emelia had an expression of I don't believe you.
"But what about the noise coming from your room? You were watching a movie" she said.
"About that, I slept off and forgot to turn it off. Sorry about it dear". Emelia pouted her lips like a kid who has been robbed off his or her candy.
"Come here" Vincent said as he opened his arms towards Emelia who immediately went for it as she gave him a big hug.
Jae Won who walked on to such a scene cleared his throat so the love couple will give him way.
"You've woken up early today" Vincent said trying to maintain calmness. Jae Won smiled not from his heart "oh yeah, I'm trying to be responsible" Jae Won replied and pass by them like air.
Emelia didn't see any wrong with it as she burst out laughing so hard only to turned to look at Vincent who had a frown "come on it's funny" she said as Vincent forced a small smile to maintain peace.
They all went down to have breakfast and since it's the weekend all the family would be at home.
While they were having breakfast Jae Won texted Charles for the address and he immediately replied. And when Jae Won saw the right moment he announced he wanted to go to Charles's place.
"I'm going over to Charles's place" Jae Won said. His gaze scanning through all their reactions and since they had no problem with it, he heaved a sighed.
"Then let Vincent drop you off" Mr Jonathan said as he thought he was trying to protect him but on the other hand he didn't want Vincent to help him with that well since his girlfriend is here.
In a rush he said "no need, he has a gilf...urrm the driver can drop me off. I don't want to disturb him".
Vincent who was about to rejoice at least he can convince him out of this but his happiness was short lived.
"Okay, if you say so, let me call him for you" Mr Jonathan said. They enjoyed their breakfast peacefully while Mr Jonathan called the driver for Jae Won. Since it's the weekend and he had no where to go, he told the driver to take his rest now because of Jae Won, he had to call him back.
In less than ten minutes the driver was in and he went to drop Jae Won off at the address he showed him.
Fourty to fifty minutes, they were standing in front a house that stood majestically with its modern architecture and a blend of sleek and elegant curves. "Wow" Jae Won said even the driver was stunned to see the house.
"Your friend here is rich just by looking at his house" said by the driver. "Exactly" he replied with his jaw drop opened letting in flies.
His gaze landed on the exterior walls of the house which was painted with a soothing white, complemented by a large windows that let in plenty of natural light.
"I'm going back before I ended up staying here too. If you are ready to come home call me so I can pick you up" the driver said.
"Mn" he replied as he kept staring at the house. To top it all the house was surrounded by a garden with lush green grass and vibrant flowers adding a sweet pop of color to it.
Charles open the front door immediately he saw Jae Won "come on in" he said. Jae Won rushed into the house as if his ass was on fire.
"Damn and it's spacious too" he said after he entered making Charles chuckled as he shook his head.
"Aren't your place more richer than me" Charles said as he went to bring a glass of water for Jae Won to drink. Jae Won took it and drank before he answered "no, don't compare. How much is your salary to build such a house"
Charles laughed so hard confusing Jae Won "did I say something funny?" He asked.
"No it's just that my father owned a company too but I chose to be a doctor and this is the house they bought which i decided to stay here after my school" he said. "And what company is that?" He curiously asked "we will talk about it later".
"I would love to chat with you but I have something to finish up before my shift. Can you find something to watch in the mean time I hope you don't mind?" He asked.
"Don't worry. You are a doctor which is part of the job" he said as Charles walked him to the living room and left while he searched through to find something to watch.
After an hour, his phone kept buzzing with calls from Vincent and he intend not to answer it.
Charles on the other hand thought Jae Won was asleep that was why he wasn't picking up so he came down to reduce the volume of the phone and the television so he could sleep well only to find him seated on the floor, his eyes fixed on the movie he was watching without blinking.
Charles, "..."
"I thought you were sleeping?" Charles said as he still couldn't believe what he was looking at. Jae Won turned to look at him while he smiled.
"No, I'm not. The movie is so interesting I can't even doze off. See I want to go ease myself but I don't want to miss a scene" he replied.
Charles laughed so hard "but you can pause i…." He was interrupted by Jae Won's index finger as he waved it gesturing no. "I don't want to get up even for a moment" he said as he smile turning back to his movie.
"Is that why you aren't picking the call?" Charles asked. But Jae Won's expression changed all of a sudden and Charles saw it.
"Is everything okay?" Charles asked but Jae Won lowered his head like a scolded kid. "I'm okay it's just that… never mind" he said as he turns back to the movie.
Charles who knew something was wrong sat beside him as he turned to watch the movie abandoning his work. "Aren't you working?"Jae Won asked.
"I can finish it at work" he replied. The room fell silent and the calls kept coming which he wasn't picking as usual. Charles turned to see the contact name and when he realized it was Vincent he became more confused.
"He made me feel like he likes me and when I thought everything was gonna be okay between us, he came back only to announced he has a girlfriend. And what about me? What led him to make that decision? And he expects us to be like before when he clearly know nothing of my feelings. He keeps acting like nothing happened between us and now he is calling me, for what?" He vent out his frustration on him without even thinking where he was.
Charles, "….."
'Am I hearing what he actually said. That's is it mean he likes guys…. like me?' Vincent thought but he had to ask maybe he heard it wrong.
"Do you by any chance likes men?" Charles asked.
Jae Won, "...…"
"Huh?".
