Chapter 21 - — The Lords Dungeon (2)

Jack stood up quickly. He saw a skeleton. Marching towards him. Rather slowly. Jack looked at the skeleton. Rather unamused.

"Hmph, I guess this is a perfect situation to use Darkness's Bane."

He reached behind his back to grab his sword. Only to find no sheath. No blade. No hilt. Nothing.

[You have entered the prison of Titanus, all weapons have been removed from your body! This trial is a test of strength!]

Jack sighed and cracked his knuckles. As black and red lightning started to cover his fists and his body.

[Activating 'Lightning Amplification']

"Thats fine. I can work without a weapon."

Jack bolted forward. Boosting his speed with lightning amplification and bursting towards the skeleton. Bringing his fist to the skeletons face. It was rather overkill. The skeleton was reduced to ashes before his eyes.

"Huh…I probably could've done that bare handed…oh well. Let's see what else this has in store!"

Jack bolted down the hallway. Swinging through skeletons. Meanwhile in Desmond Park's office. He sat there in a cast around his arm. Luna was sitting in front of him.

"…I'm sorry for what happened, Desmond."

"It's okay. I went too far." Desmond was still shaken up. He could barely recognize Jack. And just as quickly as he appeared, he was gone again. Off to who knows where. And Desmond sighed.

"But get that guard dog of yours away from me."

"Guard dog? Oh…you mean Jack? Last time I checked he told me he was an extremely low rank hunter. I had my doubts. He has an undetectable camouflage skill."

"…he has what? You're telling me, along with that divine artifact of a sword he has that rivals my spear, along with mimicking my spells, along with beating me to near death, he has a camouflage spell that's completely undetectable?! Thats bullshit! Who the hell is this guy?!"

"Uh…I can't really answer that. I've only talked to him once in like…10 years."

"Whatever…just…get out of my sight. I have things to do."

Luna sighed. "Very well. Desmond." She continued to leave the room as Desmond leaned back in his chair.

'Hmph…he only came to this world recently. He probably has no clue on the current state of the outside world.'

Desmond thought to himself as he looked to a computer article on his screen. The rest of the world except for a few ports and Utopia along with its outskirts had already been claimed by the incursion. One of these places was London. The article read 'Hunter's Association relaunches plans to reclaim London and other parts of the world during new campaign!'. Desmond sat there and stared.

'How come I haven't heard of this yet…shit. This would've been a great time to not have been injured.'

His phone started to ring. He picked it up.

"Who's this?"

"Chairman Brandon Wrath of the Hunter's Association, Mr.Park."

"Oh, hello sir. I assume you're calling me because—"

"Yes. The London campaign. We'll be launching most of the S-Ranks we have to our disposal out to Buckingham palace in a few days. I'm sorry for the short notice."
