Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Dragon War, Yimuki

Qin Shou suddenly had an idea. He tapped his finger in the air and began synthesizing.

[Black Forest Giant Python] + [Cow] + [Crocodile] + [Deer] + [Fish] + [Eagle]...

One biological model after another displayed itself in front of Qin Shou.

Qin Shou occasionally moved his fingers, trimming parts of the biological models, using the greedy snake as the main framework to assemble the creature he envisioned.

As time passed, a miniature dragon-shaped biological model emerged on the virtual interface.

Deer antlers, a cow's head, a crocodile's mouth, fish scales, eagle claws, tiger paws...

Added to the colorful snake body of the greedy snake, the components formed a shimmering rainbow-colored dragon-shaped creature.

Qin Shou stroked his chin with one hand while tinkering with the interface using the other.

The rainbow colors were too girly. He adjusted it to dark cyan.

If not for a previous cultivation mishap, he wouldn't have ended up with that colorful greedy snake. Finally, he had a chance to correct it.

The model transformed into a dark cyan hue, and with Qin Shou's minor adjustments, it looked much more pleasing, even possessing a hint of dragon-like majesty.

Of course, this wasn't a mythical creature—it was just a patchwork monster he had created.

"Oh right, greedy snakes can't fly!"

Upon realizing this, Qin Shou took out the Level 1 Anti-gravity Device gifted to novices and installed it within the greedy snake.

"Ding! Model creation complete. Synthesis requires 60 Synthesis Points. Begin synthesis?"

"Synthesize!" Qin Shou responded without hesitation.

As soon as he spoke, the greedy snake from his Beast Breeding Wristwatch was forcibly dragged into the virtual interface, looking toward Qin Shou in panic.

"Don't panic—you'll be fine!" Qin Shou reassured it.

Just as the words left his mouth, the greedy snake convulsed violently, writhing in agony as it struggled and rolled on the interface but was unable to escape.

Qin Shou: "..."

...

Moments later, a dark cyan dragon-shaped creature soared on the interface, its gaze devoid of the eerie vertical pupils associated with snakes.

The eyes, the roars—many details had been meticulously refined by Qin Shou.

"Synthesis successful. The creature is a Danger Level Six monster. Please name the creature!"

Qin Shou nodded in satisfaction—it had leveled up by one star. Not bad.

"Let's call it Azure Dragon!"

"Ding! Naming successful. Searching for data comparison..."

"Ding! The creature's similarity to Azure Dragon is 1%. Similarity too low. No reward!"

Qin Shou's expression darkened—he had been too careless with the name.

"Do I have another chance?" he asked sincerely.

"One-time renaming privilege for novices. Would you like to rename?"

"Yes!" Qin Shou nodded quickly.

"Ding! Please rename."

This time, Qin Shou thought very seriously.

The greedy snake was merely a dragon-shaped monster in appearance—it couldn't compare to an actual Divine Dragon.

Since that was the case, a more modest name might yield a higher similarity.

With that in mind, Qin Shou said, "Let's call it Yimuki!"

"Ding! Naming successful. Searching for data comparison..."

"Ding! The creature's similarity to the dragon Yimuki in the movie Dragon War is 10%. Reward: Level 1 Flame Thrower, 40 Synthesis Points."

Qin Shou beamed. As expected, naming should never be overly ambitious. Even if the appearance was similar, the gap in strength made the similarity still very low.

The dragon in Dragon War was nothing but superficial compared to a true Divine Dragon. Naming the greedy snake after it was indeed the right choice!

[Qin Shou]

[Synthesis Points: 180]

[Available Biological Devices: Level 1 Flame Thrower x1]

[Ordinary Gene Warehouse: Earth's ordinary biological genes x9]

[Level 1 Gene Warehouse: Black Forest Giant Python, Yimuki]

Synthesis Points used: 60 points. Subsequently rewarded: 40 points. Remaining: 180 points.

Qin Shou wanted to try installing the Level 1 Flame Thrower into the greedy snake but realized daylight had already arrived.

Checking the time, Qin Shou perked up, swiftly withdrew from the virtual interface, leaving the greedy snake in System Space.

He was nearly late for school... Wait a minute, I've already transmigrated—why am I still worried about being late? Qin Shou sighed, lamenting his unremarkable life.

...

To maintain order in the city, creatures cultivated through beast cultivation and mecha were not allowed to fly within city limits unless under special circumstances. Even walking them on the streets would lead to interrogation by the Guard Team.

Thus, the notion of Dragon Flying was dispelled!

Rushing down after a quick wash, Qin Shou found the bus already packed with students on their way to school.

Without haste, Qin Shou condensed his snake-shaped Star Power and leaped onto the bus roof, his Star Power shielding him securely so the moving bus wouldn't throw him off.

The driver noticed a disturbance above but calmly sipped his tea, utterly unconcerned.

He had grown used to this over the years.

The bus started moving. Two stops later, a chubby guy climbed onto the roof and greeted Qin Shou.

"Hey, Lao Qin—what feedback did you get on yesterday's simulation test?"

Qin Shou glanced at the chubby guy and said, "Average, average—not as good as your Class A's consistent S+ ratings."

The chubby guy waved dismissively, "Oh, you know, just standard routine stuff."

Saying that, his hands emanated fiery red Star Power, quickly materializing into a massive red-eyed snail that enveloped his body and firmly fixed him on the roof.

Hitchhiking +1.

The bus started moving again, and the chubby guy and Qin Shou exchanged casual banter along the way.

"Lao Qin, my Strongest Snail has already reached Dangerous Level Eight. You really need to step up!"

"Lao Qin, if you don't make it into Beast Cultivation University in three months, I can introduce some buyers for your greedy snake..."

"Lao Qin..."

"Shut up! If you keep rambling, I'll report you to Uncle Wang next door for secretly writing love letters to our classmate Cuihua!"

Qin Shou threatened fiercely.

"Um..." The chubby guy finally shut his mouth, mortified that his secret had been uncovered.

A minute later, the bus roof filled with more hitchhikers, resembling people hanging off trains in South Asia.

"Hey, Chubby, Lao Qin is here too!"

"Chubby, your snail keeps looking fatter."

The newcomers were all seasoned hitchhikers; they had grown familiar over the years.

Despite coming from well-off families, they followed Qin Shou's lead, diving headfirst into this unconventional method of transportation.

Qin Shou sighed occasionally, appreciating the influence of his charismatic personality.

...

Finally, Qin Shou entered the classroom right on time and began what would surely be another dull day at school.

The clever bald-headed teacher walked into the classroom.

"Good morning, everyone. Today's lesson is about precautions when cultivating saber-toothed tigers..."

Qin Shou listened intently—or at least that's what it looked like.

Half an hour later, class ended.

His seatmate, Long Xia, stretched lazily before leaning closer to Qin Shou.

"Lao Qin, rumor has it that after yesterday's simulation test, Wang Wu from Class A ventured outside the city alone and killed a Dangerous Level Seven Cannibal Flower."

Qin Shou raised an eyebrow. "Wang Wu's cultivation beast is a Dangerous Level Seven saber-toothed tiger, right? It doesn't have much of an edge against a Cannibal Flower of the same level, does it?"

Long Xia nodded. "That's true, but he's loaded. He raised three Level Seven saber-toothed tigers and had them gang up on the Cannibal Flower until it was dead.

Word is, after devouring the Cannibal Flower, one of his saber-toothed tigers is nearing Dangerous Level Eight."
