Everything was going upside down in my mind at that moment. I just managed to defeat someone that was causing me trouble, a difficult enemy that could have killed us the other night. His body was thrown in a side of the village, discarded like trash.
And then I see the power of those that I will have to oppose. And this was just a taste, a simple and tragic taste of what they could do.
The crater was caused by the wizard girl, Lhana or something, and it was deep. If she had managed to keep her aim steady, I don't think we could be alive after that.
The air was hot from the fire, and the smell of burned wood turning into charcoal was invading the area.
"That girl is nuts!" Mae said, standing up and getting closer to me.
"We better move, fire is starting to spread" Violet added while getting out of her hiding spot.
"Ah!" I reacted, it just occurred to me, there is a literal fire in front of us! "T-the village is going to burn down!"
"W-water spell! Anyone?!" Violet said.
