Tian Ye couldn't help but sigh deep in his heart as he took a glance at the map on top of the table, 'If I knew that my sect would be obliterated just like that, I would have at least taken a look at the geographical map of the Purple Cloud Continent recorded in the sect. For sure, with its history and the number of higher leveled cultivators, it'll be more detailed than this. In the book, the Yellow Leaf City's history is about a hundred years but… in reality, more than half of that was focused on the development and more or less only about 30 years was used to partially explore the area within a 300 kilometers radius of the city.'
Tian Ye was also more or less sure that the sect leader had array formation knowledge, due to the fact that the Yellow Leaf City had never discovered the Eternal Lotus Sect when it was only a few kilometers away from here.
If he'd known, he'd have asked for his teachings even a little bit would suffice and he can figure out the rest through trial and error. In research, the general direction was important to progress significantly, right now, he had no basic knowledge whatsoever.
Feeling the bitterness in his heart, he drank a sip of wine, then he checked the number of wine jars on the side, it was already about 20 jars but he wasn't intoxicated in the slightest.
With his 9th Layer of Qi Refinement Realm physique's recovery rate, it was probably detoxified after a while with his slow consumption. Not only that, his body was building immunity towards the Dragon's Gate Elixir Wine.
He didn't think about it much and planned to ask Li Hua to develop a wine with a higher level of alcohol content in the future.
He also brought out a fasting pill from his spatial ring and swallowed it. His stomach was beginning to grumble from hunger after all.
…
Zhao Clan's Main Manor…
"Father, do you have a blank book?!"
"Zhao clan's head, do you have a blank book?!"
Zhao Meng and Li Hua who went out, both slammed the sliding door to the Zhao Clan's head, Zhao Long's office, open.
Zhao Long was a little startled but he nodded towards the two young ladies… at least compared to him who was in his sixties.
"Yeah, why? Did Lord Tian ask you for one?" Zhao Long inquired, stood up, hurriedly went through his desk and looked for one.
Zhao Meng excitedly nodded, "Yeah! The Lor… No, Master now! He took us as disciples!"
"What?" Zhao Long's heart trembled slightly, but after processing Zhao Meng's words, he couldn't help but feel excited so he coughed then hurriedly brought out two blank books, a quill, and an inkwell for the two of them.
With a smile, he replied, "Here you go. Two blank books, one for Owner Li, and one for my lovely daughter, Zhao Meng."
Zhao Meng took the two books and Li Hua took the quill and the inkwell.
As they went out in a hurry due to excitement, they said.
"Thanks, father!"
"Thanks, Zhao clan's head!"
Looking at the two young ladies' disappearing backs, he awkwardly replied, "No problem…"
Leaning back on his seat, he turned his gaze to the ceiling in wonder, "My daughter has been taken as a disciple by that terrifying individual huh?"
He shook his head then smiled, "It's good for the Zhao clan anyway so I'll just focus on processing the rebuilding of Lord Tian's Manor."
…
The two disciples went back to the Zhao Clan's library and saw that Tian Ye was reading slowly, his eyes were focused so they didn't disturb him.
The two disciples simply stood by the side waiting for him to finish reading but Tian Ye waved his hand, "Put the blank books, the quill, and the inkwell on the table."
The two disciples were slightly startled that Tian Ye was actually paying attention to them but nodded and did as they were told.
"Yes, Master."
He then closed the book about medicine he was reading and pinched his nose bridge as he leaned back slightly and closed his eyes, 'Hm… It'll take my disciples more or less 1 year to reach the 1st layer of Qi Refinement Realm… no, it should take them about 2 years since they are quite old and their mortal bodies are full of impurities… That's not bad, I'll be staying for a while anyway.'
After thinking for a moment, he then began writing the [Qi Gathering Technique], the chant-based cultivation manual he created. This was the neutral spiritual qi manual. After all, he doesn't know their affinity yet, he'll only know after they've started emitting spiritual qi.
He plans to have them convert their neutral spiritual qi to elemental spiritual qi once they've broken through to the 1st layer of Qi Refinement Realm.
Once he was done, he threw the blank books to them which they caught in panic and nervousness that it might fall, treating the books like glass treasures that might break upon fall.
Tian Ye just chuckled and said, "Cultivate well, just follow the instructions, and you should reach the 1st layer of Qi Refinement Realm within 1-2 years. Cultivate for at least 8 hours a day, once you can enter the meditative state, you can directly replace sleep with cultivation. Don't be lazy."
The two were incredibly excited and bowed in thanks, "Thank you for your teachings, master."
Tian Ye just waved his hand, "Go, tell me once you've reached the 1st Layer."
"Then, we'll excuse ourselves first, master."
Tian Ye just focused on reading, ignoring the two excited disciples walking out of the library.
After they went out, Tian Ye stayed in the Zhao clan's library for 2 weeks, reading all the books in the 3-floored pavilion. He was used to cultivating in seclusion so spending 2 weeks within a library was nothing to him. With his current cultivation, he didn't even need to sleep as his body was recovering from fatigue by itself without the need of meditation.
After reading everything, he finally walked out of the library.
When he walked out, there were two guards who looked at him, a little startled, and said with little fear as they bowed their heads, "Zhao clan's guard, Zhao Yunfan, greets Lord Tian."
"Zhao clan's guard, Zhao Wuchen, greets Lord Tian."
Tian Ye just waved his hand lazily and asked, "Where's the clan head?"
One of the guards hurriedly, yet respectfully replied, "The clan head is currently supervising the rebuilding of the manor in the 3rd district, my lord."
"Hoh?" Tian Ye asked in interest, "How long before it's done?"
The other guard saw that Tian Ye wasn't as they've heard, he was more casual and not as brutal as when he'd massacred an entire clan overnight, so he replied, "My lord, the clan head has briefed us and it should be done in 3 more days?"
"So fast?" Tian Ye asked in surprise but then nodded in understanding. In a cultivation world, even a cultivator at the 1st Layer at the Qi Gathering Realm could do the work of 10 people.
The clan head probably utilized cultivators with the rebuilding. Not only that, he used cultivators from 3 different clans.
Although they were low-leveled cultivators, they were still cultivators after all. A hundred low-leveled cultivators are still more useful than a thousand or two mortals in terms of strength.
He then asked, "What about my disciple? What is she doing?"
The guard had received the news that Tian Ye had taken Zhao Meng as a disciples and understood that Tian Ye was talking about Zhao Meng so he replied, "She's been cultivating non-stop within her manor, my lord. Besides eating, she doesn't come out at all."
"Is that so?" Tian Ye couldn't help but chuckle as he thought, 'Looks like it won't take 2 years, if she keeps this pace up, at most, 1 year, and she'd reach the first layer.'
"What about the other one?"
The guard shook his head and replied, "My lord, Lady Li is not in the manor, she went to cultivate in her own manor."
"I see, then I'll go ask around her restaurant first to look for news lest I disturb her cultivation, just tell people I'm in my disciple's restaurant if someone looks for me."
"Yes, my lord!" The two guards replied respectfully, watching the back of Tian Ye who was leaving.
Tian Ye, who left the Zhao Clan's manor just casually strolled through the streets since the Moonlit Pavilion wasn't too far but the looks of the mortals residing in the Yellow Leaf City were filled with fear and nervousness as their sights fell on him.
Tian Ye didn't mind and just continued walking.
He was like a stone thrown fast in water, the water in this case, being the people, making way as he walked through. It was quite interesting.
After a few minutes, he had reached the entrance of the Moonlit Pavilion and what greeted him was an unfamiliar face but said respectfully, as the woman greeted, "Welcome to the Moonlit Pavilion, Lord Tian."
"Um. How's my disciple?" Tian Ye nodded and asked, considering that this person knew his identity, she should know what Tian Ye asked when he asked how his disciple was doing.
"My lord, Lady Li is cultivating non-stop in her manor, would you like me to call for her?"
"No, just let her be, this is good for her, just bring me a hundred Dragon's Gate Elixir on the third floor."
"As you wish, my lord. We'll bring it in a short while." The woman who was tending to him said respectfully.
