Lily didn't let go of Elena, She held her tighter, rubbing gentle circles on her back, whispering softly, "It's okay… I've got you." They stayed that way for a long while, just the two of them in the quiet room, holding on like they hadn't seen each other in years.
Eventually, they slowly pulled apart, their faces still close, eyes red from the emotions that had just poured out. Elena sniffled, trying to steady her breathing.
"I've missed you," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper.
"I missed you too, Ely," Lily replied warmly. She smiled gently and reached out to help Elena off the floor, guiding her to sit on the edge of the bed.
Lily looked around the room and noticed the half-open suitcase, clothes scattered around it. Some were already folded, others messily shoved in, clearly in a rush. Her eyes moved to the wardrobe, where several hangers hung empty.
