Chapter 228 - Entei Vs. Pidgeot

Red nodded helplessly as he looked at these two people on the field. To be honest, he was really planning to rush up and have a battle with these two people.

After all, as a person who fought, how could he possibly hold back in front of this kind of battle? But unfortunately, because of the basic morals of a trainer he couldn't interrupt these two people's battle.

What was even more unfortunate was that after this battle, he would not be able to fight against Rope for a while. After all, there were basically no Pokémon on Rope's bench that were worth fighting with.

Blue took a deep breath to calm himself down, and then removed the last Pokéball from his waist.

"Come out, Pidgeot!"

Blue's eyes were as sharp as knives. , just like this Pidgeot that flew out of the ball, as if it could cut someone with its eyes alone.

"Screech!!!"

Pidgeot in mid-air waved its huge wings, clearly a circle larger than a normal Pidgeot. This was also one of Blue's ace Pokémon now. Although it still wasn't as strong as the Gosan family he had bred himself...it was definitely a strong member of the main team.

It was already shameless to beat the main team of a novice take champion team, but if he had to take an ace against it, it wouldn't be shameless, it would be a blatant loss of his own honor.

Blue certainly wouldn't do that. Seriously he wasn't even thinking of using Pidgeot in the fight in the first place. It was also a choice made after being forced by Rope.

Otherwise, with Blue's pride, how could he and so deal with a newcomer...

Rope wasn't polite either. Just like what was said before, there was only one choice left for him.

"Come out, Entei!"

"Roar!!!!"

Entei stepped out with crimson flames, and looking at the Pidgeot that, although it was just a normal Pokémon, had no fear when looking at itself, and just treated it as if it was looking at a normal Pokémon, he couldn't help but nod appreciatively, before revealing a look of gravity again.

This was also a credit to the trainer. If it was a Pokémon in the wild, when facing a Legendary Pokémon, it would always be difficult to suppress the emotions of longing or awe.

But once they have a trainer to act as a pillar of support in their hearts, many Pokémon who are strong-minded enough will fall into a state of longing or awe. Then many Pokémon with a strong enough mind will be able to level with the Legendary Pokémon in their mindset... Of course, whether or not they can beat them depends purely on their strength.

The crimson flames rose up, and very openly condensed into flame armor on Entei's body, and the pair of flame wings on Entei's back.

In this way, this battle was expected to be another air battle.

Seeing this, Professor Oak said to Crystal beside him, "I remember that you, Crystal, are quite fond of sparring as well."

"En, I am also a Pokédex holder, so how could I not be good at sparring!"

Crystal opened her mouth and said. Although these Pokédex Holders hadn't experienced so many great things because of the parallel world. But they accomplished the Pokédex collection mission very well. That in itself was a great thing.

Only those who have collected all Pokédex know how hard it is to collect all Pokédex...

Of course, all Pokédex here doesn't include Legendary Pokémon...after all, Legendary Pokémon aren't that easy to collect, and not everyone is a Red, out and about. The first year of traveling can fuck up the Three Godbirds. Though these three Triple Godbirds did kinda fall off the wagon.

"Well, you're going to have to take a good look at that." Professor Oak said as he looked at the two Pokémon facing each other, "This matchup is probably the highest caliber aerial battle in all of Kanto."

——————

On the field, Rope and Entei stared tightly at Blue and Pidgeot on the opposite side of the field, their eyes flashing with fiery battle intent.

Fire-type Pokémon and fire-type trainers were always the most combative and the most likely to create miracles... If the fire in their hearts was not extinguished, their battle intent would remain forever.

"Entei, Flamethrower!"

Rope attacked first again. Of course he wasn't going to be polite with Blue, although he also knew that Blue talked about how he was going to do whatever he wanted to do to himself, but in reality, he'd been letting off steam for the first two matches...did he really think that if he traveled for a few months, he'd come back to beat up Blue and fuck Red?

You're hung up all right. You're right, but isn't the main character's aura a hangover?

You're right, the main character's aura isn't a hang-up?

Not to mention people are officially hung given by World Will...

'Reasonable' and won't be blocked.

"Pidgeot, sidestep and Blizzard!"

Blue wasn't ambiguous either, starting with one of the big moves of the Flight Department. If this were Rope, Rope would have used it with caution...after all, this move only has a 70 hit rate.

Entei's Flamethrower attacked towards Pidgeot, who chose to side-step the move as Blue commanded. He then flapped his wings as the Flight energy around him converged, preparing for a handful of Blizzard.

But Blizzard had just coalesced in general. He felt a wave of heat coming from the side, and when he looked up, Entei's Flamethrower continued to hit towards this side.

Pidgeot hadn't really seen this kind of operation before. He could only give up on gathering energy and swung his wings, then flew upwards.

Flamethrower missed again, and although Entei hadn't risen into the air yet, he had already begun to face off with his opponent.

And Blue on the sidelines just felt his teeth ache, this sparring session with Rope had really grown on him. To say he's never seen psychic is pure bullshit.

Not to mention, isn't Yellow a psychic you can see often?

Power of Viridian's communication, healing and reinforcement are all pretty sick. But Rope's ability to strengthen, defend, and even change the original nature of a move is something he's never heard of...

You're going to have to say it's similar to... Victory Star - Victini?

What's more, Rope's psychic power had a bonus and strengthening effect on himself. Or rather, if giving it to Pokémon can strengthen it to such an extent, how strong is Rope himself now?

Maybe Ash could be allowed to try... neither of those guys were quite human after all.

"Pidgeot, Air Slash!"

Blue was a bit distracted, but his command was still nothing to sneeze at, seizing the opportunity to command Pidgeot to launch a new round of attacks.

"Entei! Lift off and dodge!"

Rope wasn't a rash person, and he couldn't do anything about being left on the ground to be beaten.

So the flaming wings behind Entei's back vibrated, and then Entei also lifted up into the air...

There's one thing to be said for Crystal and the other, they're all a little less lucid...

Previously, Rope's reinforcement of Pokémon was still stuck on strengthening the attack and defense. But now, Rope's reinforcement can already change this Pokémon's fighting style and range...

Suddenly, it feels like the heavens are so unfair... Is Rope the illegitimate son of the God of Creation? The only child in a thousand hectares of land?

Let's just say that Arceus's popularity has been victimized...

Whitley is used to seeing it. But it was really the first time that Professor Oak and Daisy had seen this kind of reinforcement, and the eyes of the two researchers were glowing.

No, we must tie Rope up and study it...

[To study whether Rope's current physiological structure is still the same as that of a human!]

[We have to study whether Rope's enhancement is a short-term enhancement or a long-term modification for Pokémon!]

The grandparents and grandson looked at each other, thought about their respective research directions, and then nodded in unison.

And Rope who was on the field still didn't know that he was already being thought of how to research without even realizing it.

Of course, even if he knew, what could he do? Forgive them, of course!

On the field, the battle continued as Entei hovered in mid-air, wary of Pidgeot in front of him. after all, Pidgeot was bound to be better at aerial combat than he was.

"Entei, Fire Blast!"

Rope decided to strike first.

"Pidgeot! avoid!"

In a fight in the air, the 'avoid quickly' move could get the most space and opportunity.

Fire Blast blasted out. And Pidgeot once again nimbly dodged it.

In his opinion Entei's choice to ascend into the air to fight him was simply too stupid to be true.

"Flare Blitz!"

Rope, of course, went straight to his next command.

Entei made his prediction, and then with a Flare Blitz he charged towards Pidgeot's landing spot.

"Pidgeot! Protect!"

Blue could only rush to command defense when he saw this, after all, for those of them, once they were caught in a real break, then basically the old memories of a set of moves resolved.

Pidgeot looked at the guy in front of him who was rushing towards him. The green shield on his body lit up.

Entei and Pidgeot collided, and then Pidgeot was knocked out hard, but the good thing was that it didn't receive any damage.

Pidgeot's wings stretched out and the green shield on his body shattered, followed by a white light that lit up.

"Brave Bird!"

Blue shouted.

"Screech!"

Pidgeot cleared his throat before slamming hard towards Entei.

"Entei, sideways, flip, Body Slam!!!"

Rope calmly commanded without panicking at all.

Entei looked at Pidgeot who was charging towards him and was also very calm as he followed Rope's command and the situation on the field.

With both wings flapping, he did a drift in place in the air, and then with both wings vibrating, he completed his flip.

After that, the energy of the general system surged up on his body, and Body Slam was ready to fire.

Blue instinctively felt bad.

"Dodge!"

But Brave Bird's move wasn't that easy to stop. What's more, the Pidgeot that dives from above and below is inherently bad at controlling speed.

"No, accelerate forward, target offset!"

Blue revised the command in time.

The Pidgeot that was just about to force a stop also reflected, and after clearing its throat again it also gathered its wings and accelerated again.

Entei's Body Slam was just about to be released, and as a result, Pidgeot, who was the target, disappeared from sight.

Brave Bird made a hard and close contact with the ground, once again stirring up a large amount of smoke and dust.

"Heat Wave!"

How could Rope, who was playing this kind of move himself, take such a loss?

He decisively used Heat Wave to blow the smoke away.

Entei flapped its wings in mid-air. A hot air current rose up and surged towards the smoke over there.

Before the smoke cleared, Pidgeot lifted off again with a cry.

Then again, the brave bird rushed towards Entei who was releasing Jinn.

Blue's eyes flashed with a 'in control' emotion.

I knew that you, who often play this move, would avoid me using it. It's even harder to block a Heat Wave. After all, if you use Heat Wave, you have to swing your wings, and compared to Brave Bird, it's a better sneak attack!

Blue looked at Rope with a winning smile.

Rope noticed Blue's smile, but he didn't care...

Pidgeot's body was covered in light blue flight system energy. It was like a light blue divine eagle striking towards Entei in the sky.

And Entei...didn't move a muscle.

"Eat it! Then Sacred Fire!"

Just before the two made contact, Rope calmly said.

Blue had instinctively sensed something bad when she saw Entei actually not dodging.

But now, it was too late to command anything...

Purple flames coalesced in Entei's mouth, and then fiercely blasted through the moment Pidgeot slammed into himself!

Pidgeot slammed hard into Entei's stomach. This was Entei's most vulnerable position itself. But it was the place where the Flame Armor was thickest.

But even so. The Flame Armor still shattered.

But it also unloaded the vast majority of its power.

And Entei's Sacred Fire covered Pidgeot in its entirety. it was as if Pidgeot was bathed in a waterfall of purple fire.

A bird and a lion rushed towards the high sky, and now it seemed...the battle between them had come to an end.

Blue turns his head and looks at Rope...

For a moment, he gives a slow thumbs up.

Red, Professor Oak, Daisy, Whitley, and Crystal all look at Pidgeot, who is falling in the sky, and Entei, who is slowly descending, with a somewhat shocked look on their faces.

How dare you...if anything goes wrong, even Entei will have to nurse his injuries for a while...

After all, this is one of Blue's main Pokémon ah...this Brave Bird is definitely not that good of a catch.

Blue seized the moment and used the ball to collect Pidgeot, who was still falling in mid-air.

And after a moment, Entei limps down as well. Apparently equally badly hurt. But it was also bound to not be any serious injuries that were unacceptable.

At least not anything unacceptable in terms of the battle results achieved.

Rope quickly stepped forward and stroked the mane at Entei's erect neck, then said with a few apologies, "Sorry for the hard work."

Entei shook his head slowly, then licked Rope's face.

Rope stroked his head, then took him back into the ball.

Rope looked at the ball in his hand and smiled softly, "Get some rest!"

"Pidgeot is incapacitated.Entei is the winner! The final winner of this matchup is! Challenger! Rope from Pallet Town!"

With a wave of the flag in Red's hand, this match finally came to a close.

Blue laughed lightly and shook his head, then fished a feather-like green badge out of his own pocket.

Then walked closer to Rope and said, "This is Viridian Gym's Earth Badge, Kanto's eighth gym and has passed. Rope, congratulations, you are now ready to participate in the League Indigo Plateau Conference."

Rope smiled and took the Earth Badge, then put it away and said, "I hope League Conference won't be any harder than the gym challenges..."
