Chapter 184 - Chapter 184: Super Spider Sense

The 1st Gen Spider-Man watched the 2nd Gen Gwen anxiously. She was just an ordinary girl, and it was terrifying to think of her rushing into such a dangerous situation!

If Max decided to attack Gwen, there was a high probability that the 2nd Gen Spider-Man wouldn't be able to protect her. Max's movements were far faster than Peter's, who still relied on force to maneuver.

The 1st Gen Spider-Man had realized this firsthand—after trying it himself, he confirmed that swinging along his webbing for speed was much slower than Max's instant electrical movement.

"I hope she'll be alright," Toby Maguire's Spider-Man muttered, still recalling what The Screen had revealed. He didn't believe The Screen would show events without reason.

"I hope luck is on her side," Aunt May murmured, clasping her hands together in silent prayer.

[Max, who had been lying motionless after being hit by the police car, suddenly opened his eyes. The impact had left him furious—he had already decided to eliminate Spider-Man completely!]

[With gritted teeth, he pushed himself up. Peter, realizing the danger, urgently urged Gwen, "Go! Go!!!" before turning back toward Max.]

[In that instant, Peter saw a familiar figure standing near the police car—George Stacy. But just as his mind wavered, a flash of blue and white electricity crackled behind the phantom of George.]

[Before Peter could react, Max launched himself forward at blinding speed, rushing straight at Peter's face. Peter barely ducked in time to avoid the attack, but Max immediately fired a lightning bolt at him.]

[Peter leaped into the air, swinging around a pillar as Max pursued him relentlessly, unleashing continuous bolts of electricity.]

[Peter tightened his grip on the web, using it to propel himself upward, narrowly dodging the first lightning strike. Letting go mid-air, he flipped out of the way just as the second and third lightning bolts blasted past him.]

[With flawless agility, he fired another web, executing a perfect front flip before landing. Max's rapid attacks obliterated several pillars, causing them to crash down all around them.]

[Meanwhile, Gwen had successfully reached the control room. The moment she entered, her breath hitched—lying motionless on the ground was the body of a staff member.]

[Panic gripped her for a brief moment, but she forced herself to move forward, stepping over the body and heading straight to the control console. She quickly scanned the panel and realized the restart button was locked. Desperately looking around, her eyes landed on a key clasped in the fingers of the fallen worker.]

[The man had likely tried to restart the power grid before being electrocuted by Max. The burns on his palm were clear evidence of it.]

[PNA322, the plane in the screen over New York, remained oblivious to its imminent disaster. It was on a direct collision course with another plane, PNA273. Both aircraft continued flying at full speed, unable to receive any tower communications due to the power outage.]

[Peter had no idea about the incoming catastrophe. He was fully focused on evading Max's attacks, exhaustion creeping in.]

[Despite Max's relentless assault, Peter's spider sense kept him one step ahead, allowing him to predict and dodge the incoming electric blasts.]

[Using the pillars to his advantage, Peter constantly maneuvered through the battlefield. Even when Max shattered a pillar right beneath him, Peter managed to push off just in time, narrowly escaping being caught in the explosion of rubble.]

[After dodging a particularly close attack, he immediately shot his web to propel himself away, already anticipating Max's next move. The moment Max raised his hand, Peter reacted instinctively, making another evasive move before the attack even landed.]

[Max's frustration grew—his attacks kept missing. He had only landed one successful hit on Peter so far. Roaring in anger, he materialized again, determined to crush Spider-Man.]

[Meanwhile, the passengers on flight PNA273 remained completely unaware of their impending fate. Some read books, while others took naps, blissfully unaware that disaster was approaching.]

[Inside the powerless air traffic control tower, a panicked operator checked his watch and gasped, "Sixty seconds to impact!"]

"OMG! No way! The two planes are about to collide!!!"

"Damn airlines, don't they have backup power?!"

"FUCK! Max! What a jerk!"

"Peter Parker is insane! He's dodging almost everything!"

People around the world reacted in horror. Some panicked over the incoming crash, some cursed the airport for its lack of emergency measures, while others raged at Max's destruction. Many, however, were in awe of Spider-Man's sheer agility.

At various airports, managers were in full-blown crisis mode. Passengers watching the broadcast began voicing their fears, wondering if such an event could happen in real life.

Onboard planes, some nervous travelers anxiously asked flight attendants about their safety. The crew members did their best to reassure them, insisting that everything was perfectly normal.

[Gwen wasted no time—after retrieving the key, she quickly unlocked the control panel. Meanwhile, Peter continued swinging through the collapsing battlefield, dodging Max's attacks as pillars fell like dominoes.]

[Peter managed to land on a transmission cable that Max had severed earlier. Without hesitation, he fired a web at Max, momentarily tethering him.]

[Gwen, now prepared, removed the cover and hovered her finger over the restart button, waiting for Peter's signal.]

[She glanced up, watching Peter skillfully weave his webs, pulling together the severed cables to prepare for his plan. Max, furious, finally broke free from the webbing and launched another attack.]

[Peter dodged nimbly, descending toward the ground while holding multiple web lines in his hands—all connected to the transmission cables.]

[At this moment, however, he had no way to evade an incoming attack. Max seized the opportunity and unleashed a devastating bolt of electricity straight at Peter.]

[A surge of electricity coursed through Peter's body. Even though his suit wasn't conductive, the sheer power of the electromagnetic blast sent pain coursing through him. He collapsed to his knees, screaming in agony, "Aaaaahhh!!!"]

[Despite the excruciating pain, Peter clenched his teeth, refusing to let go. He forced his hands to continue tying the webbing together, securing the final knot.]

["Now! Gwen! Restart it!"] Peter roared from across the field.

[Gwen took a deep breath, steadied her shaking hands, and flipped the switch.]

[Instantly, an overwhelming surge of electricity erupted. The immense power flowed through the webbing in Peter's hands, turning it a blinding yellow-red before traveling back up Max's own electrical current.]

[Max was immediately overwhelmed by a far more terrifying force. The current wrapped around him like chains, binding him mid-air as he thrashed in pain.]

[Peter, unable to endure any longer, was blasted backward by the shockwave, crashing hard into the ground.]

[Gwen watched, heart pounding, as Max writhed helplessly, completely trapped in the surging golden energy. At the same time, the city's power flickered back to life—one building at a time.]

[Max desperately struggled to break free, but it was futile. As the city's electrical system stabilized, the energy meter on Max's body skyrocketed, filling to maximum capacity in seconds.]

[He couldn't hold it back any longer. His entire body trembled violently as he screamed in agony.]
