Chapter 19 - Chapter 18 Third-tier Demon Beast

"Pah, who are you to claim it? According to the rules of the hunters in the mountains, whoever sets the beast trap owns the prey. Look carefully, this beast trap was set by me, and there's even a 'Sheng' character on it," Yun Sheng had inquired experienced hunters before heading out to avoid any disputes, learning that hunters had established customs that should not be wantonly broken.

When she had Uncle Tie make her a hunting trap, she was smart enough to have her name carved into it.

A few youths glanced at the hunting trap and really saw the 'Sheng' character on it, immediately becoming tongue-tied.

"You little good-for-nothing, if I say it's mine, then it's mine. I am the king of the kids in Banana Leaf Village. You've defied me over and over again; you're really asking for a beating," Lei Hu, unlike Yun Sheng who had a shrewd mind, was infuriated by being challenged and didn't care about the pig anymore. With a blur of motion, he intended to seize Yun Sheng.

Yun Sheng was on her guard early on and immediately took off running forward.

A few youths followed close behind, chasing after her.

But scarcely a few steps into the chase, they heard a series of agonizing screams—two of them had stepped on hunting traps consecutively, and in an instant, their skins were split, and their flesh gaped open, wailing miserably.

Yun Sheng had set seven or eight beast traps along the way. She lured the people to the traps, and sure enough, these martial artists who had strength but no smarts took the bait.

Seeing this, Lei Hu's face turned livid with rage. Ignoring the injuries of his companions behind him, he roared, and just like the last time, his movement technique instantly doubled in speed.

As Yun Sheng ran, she seemed to be losing her Qi Power, and in an inadvertent moment, Lei Hu, like a hungry dog pouncing on food, tackled her to the ground.

The two grappled together, with Lei Hu being stronger and taller, and in no time at all, he had Yun Sheng twisted up in a tangle.

"You little good-for-nothing, let's see how you cause trouble now," Lei Hu had just begun to speak when he suddenly felt his arm go numb as if pricked by needles, his entire right hand losing control and dangling.

"What, what did you do?" Lei Hu looked at his right hand in horror, discovering he had completely lost sensation in it.

Yun Sheng kicked out like a rabbit and pushed Lei Hu away, still holding a Bone Needle in her hand.

Knowing she was no match for Lei Hu in strength, Yun Sheng pretended to be subdued and waited for Lei Hu to get close, targeting a major acupoint in his hand and jabbing it with the needle.

"Whose prey is it?" Yun Sheng stood up straight, calm and composed, her Bone Needle waved provocatively in front of Lei Hu.

"You, you're using Demon Art?!" Lei Hu couldn't understand how Yun Sheng, with a Bone Needle as small as an embroidery needle, could render his arm as limp as cotton. If this wasn't Demon Art, what was it?

"You're the one with Demon Art, your whole family uses Demon Art. This is Medical Skill," Yun Sheng said, not having used much force, employing the lightest Mandala dosage Bone Needle.

A blood-covered youth came running from behind. Lei Hu took a closer look and couldn't help but get a great shock.

"Ai Meng, what happened?" The youth was one who had gone into the mountains with Lei Hu earlier. He was covered in blood, and his left leg had acquired a large hole.

"Big Brother Hu, it's bad. Demon Beast, a Third-tier Demon Beast," the youth said pale-faced, shouting as he walked, collapsing in front of Lei Hu from excessive blood loss, immediately fainting.

Looking at his leg wound, a large hole gaped open, bleeding continuously as if pierced through by some sharp instrument.

Third-tier Demon Beast, Yun Sheng and Lei Hu were stunned simultaneously, both thinking of that Second-level little mountain pig.

It was clear that the little pig was still a cub, and where there are cubs, there would invariably be adult Golden Rhinoceros Pigs guarding them. Likely, the cub sneaked out to look for food while its parents were not vigilant and just happened to encounter Yun Sheng's hunting trap.

The Golden Rhinoceros Pigs would always move together, male and female. Against two Third-tier Demon Beasts, not just Lei Hu and Yun Sheng, even if the village chief himself were present, it would only equal a forced confrontation.

Amidst a tearing sound, Lei Hu came back to his senses.

"What, what are you doing?" In the end, Lei Hu was just a teenager of only over ten years of age. Although he was brave and fond of fighting, he still lacked the experience of real combat with Demon Beasts. For the moment, he was at a loss.

Seeing Yun Sheng rip open Ai Meng's trousers, Lei Hu was startled and, disregarding the numbness that kept his own right hand immobile, he made as if to push Yun Sheng away.

"Shut up. If you don't want him to become crippled, then don't interfere. He's lost too much blood. If we don't stop the bleeding now, even if we save him, his leg will be useless," Yun Sheng quickly tore off several strips of cloth and firmly wrapped them around the wound, staunching the blood flow like a dam.

She then pricked several acupressure points around the area with a Bone Needle, and the blood immediately stopped.

She took a few Blood Stopping Flowers from her body, chewed them up, and applied them to the wound.

Lei Hu had never seen such a method of treating wounds. Before he had time to even blink, the bleeding from Ai Meng's wounds had stopped.

This was even more impressive than a temple Mage's healing.

"In 15 minutes, loosen the bandage on his wound. If he's still bleeding, bind it up again. Repeat this process, tightening and loosening, until the bleeding stops completely. Remember to do it every 15 minutes and without pause. Otherwise, his meridians will necrose," Yun Sheng methodically treated the wound and then got up, running back the way she had come.

"What are you going to do now?" Lei Hu stuttered in disbelief.

"Go back and save people. You'd rather watch them die? And you call yourself the king of kids? To abandon your own people, what kind of lousy king of kids are you?" Yun Sheng gave him a glare. In a flash, her figure had disappeared over the other side of the mountain.

"Are you out of your mind? That... that's a Third-tier Demon Beast!" Lei Hu finally came to his senses, but Yun Sheng was long gone.

Lei Hu felt deeply ashamed after being berated by Yun Sheng.

As a Martial Artist, he was actually upstaged by a little girl.

A Third-tier Demon Beast; she must have a death wish to seek it out.

Lei Hu was fraught with anxiety, but he couldn't leave the unconscious Ai Meng behind. Just as he was at a loss about what to do, a cold voice came from behind him.

"You again? Where is she?" Lei Hu looked up, only to see a handsome young man with a darkened face.

It had only been half an hour. Had that Little Wildcat caused trouble again?

Lei Hu did not recognize Ye Beiming, but the way the other looked at him, it was clear that he knew who Lei Hu was.

The young man seemed even younger than Lei Hu, but the aura around him was so formidable that it rendered Lei Hu immobile.

This was a feeling that not even the Great Martial Masters in the Martial Arts Hall could match.

"You're talking about that little wretch, I mean... you're talking about Yun Sheng. She, she went to save others. Third-tier Demon Beasts. Go quickly and save her. Two Third-tier Golden Rhinoceros Pigs have come," Lei Hu realized that the young man before him might be able to save them.

Third-tier Demon Beasts! This is madness!

The youth's expression dramatically changed as soon as he heard Lei Hu's words. He didn't expect that there would be Third-tier Demon Beasts nearby.

He spun around with a flying kick that sent Lei Hu flying.

Lei Hu felt an intense pain in his jaw, knowing it had been dislocated by the kick.

Lei Hu cursed inwardly, wondering when he had managed to offend this lord.

"Remember, if you dare to bully her again, it won't just be your jaw that gets hurt," a faint green Wind Element swirled into being and, with a Floating Technique, Ye Beiming had already flashed into the jungle.
