After getting up and making a salad for breakfast, Haunter grabbed a slice of bread while holding a notebook in its other hand.

Haunter opened the notebook, showing it off to Natsume.
"Wow, not only do you have a training plan, but you even made a schedule?!"
Haunter adjusted its nonexistent glasses.

Squirtle cautiously accepted the slice of bread.
It tore off a small piece and tossed it into Haunter's mouth. After confirming there was no issue, it nodded.
Natsume's lips twitched.
Your paranoia is getting worse, Squirtle!
Besides, Haunter is a Poison-type! Who uses Haunter to test for poison?!
"I feel like all my Pokémon are problem children!" Natsume sighed deeply.

After breakfast, Sylveon, wearing a Soothe Bell, hopped onto the hamster wheel.

Natsume smiled helplessly and opened his notebook to start drafting the project plan for the third game.

Mina giggled. "Don't worry, Uncle, leave it to me!"
"Deduct 500 Pokémon Coins," Natsume said flatly. "Work hard, and your salary won't be short."
"Cheapskate!"
As for Kazuya, whose hairline was becoming increasingly concerning, Natsume felt a pang of sympathy and instructed, "Devon Corporation will provide the game engine. Take your time, no rush!"
Kazuya gave a pale smile and silently raised a thumbs-up.

Just then, a student hurried in and whispered, "Leader, there's a new challenger… but it seems a bit strange."
"Strange? How so?"
The student looked awkward. "The challenger… is a Haunter!"
Takuya was stunned.
What's going on? Can Pokémon challenge Gyms on their own now?
"Then let it defeat the three evaluation officers first," Takuya said, sipping his tea.
The student hesitated. "The three seniors have already surrendered. Haunter is waiting in the front hall!"
Takuya immediately started coughing violently.
What the heck?
You can't even stop a Haunter?!
Meanwhile, in the front hall.
Haunter grinned at the two little ones behind it.
New dungeon, "Tokyo Gyms," unlocked!
Takuya pretended to remain calm as he entered the front hall.
He saw the three evaluation officers crouching on the ground, surrounding Sylveon.
"Aww, it's so cute!"
"But it's so fierce! It won't let me pet it!"
"By the way, doesn't this Haunter look familiar?"
Takuya's lips twitched.
Now I know why Pokémon can challenge Gyms on their own—
Turns out my evaluation officers are all traitors!
Suddenly, Takuya froze.
Isn't this the same Haunter that swept my entire team last time?
It came to challenge Tokyo Gyms without even bringing its Trainer?!
But as he looked at Sylveon's adorable appearance, Takuya's heart softened. "Haunter, how many Badges do you have?"
Haunter scratched its head and held up one finger.
Takuya chuckled. "Then don't blame me for bullying you. I'm using the same team composition as last time!"
"Haunter!" Haunter nodded.
At the signal, Sylveon gracefully leaped onto the battlefield, baring its teeth.
Takuya was slightly taken aback.
Trainer Haunter sent out Sylveon?!
At the same time, a dark Shadow Ball began to form at Sylveon's bow…

While preparing dinner at home, Natsume-sensei suddenly heard the System's announcement.

Just then, Haunter led the two little ones back from outside.
"Haunter!"

Haunter tossed a Badge onto the coffee table and hummed a tune as it floated toward the bathroom.
Natsume picked up the Badge and was stunned.
Isn't this… the Tokyo Badge?
After comparing it several times with the Badge he had obtained before, Natsume's expression turned strange.
You guys can go challenge Gyms on your own now?!
But thinking about it, during the succession ceremony at Viridian Gym, there had been instances of wild Pokémon challenging the Gym…
