"Hey, Riley, how's it going?"
A hard pat landed on his back and nearly threw him off balance. He looked at the person, who now had his arm across Riley's shoulders.
"You..."
Yeah, that was all he was gonna say. Even though he was always pissed off, he just didn't know what to do, especially after knowing that that was his way of greeting. It was either a surprise jump from the back or a hard pat.
"Hey, what happened to you?" Max asked when Riley faced him.
Max held Riley's chin and turned it to the left and right, just to see those eye bags.
"You need to rest buddy." Max said out of care.
"Yeah, I know, I'm just gonna get some rest as soon as you let go of me."
"No, not some, you need a lot of rest."
Riley scoffed. He knew getting a lot of rest would be impossible, at least, for the week. He removed Max's arm from his shoulder and was walking towards his seat, when he felt a pull. He tripped, but was lucky not to have fallen, since Max's grip on his arm was strong.
"What the hell is your problem man?"
Riley was losing his cool. Was Max having fun showcasing how weak he was. Riley could hear the girls in the front roll giggling as he stood up straight.
"Sorry about that buddy. I just wanted to take you to the school clinic."
"The clinic?"
'Does he think I'm sick? I' m not sick buddy, I've just been sleep deprived.' Riley screamed in his mind.
"Yes, the clinic, you need some rest."
"And when did the clinic turn to a restroom?"
Riley turned to look at Natasha, who was just entering the class along with Julian and Tharn.
'Just what made me think Natasha's voice was no longer as annoying as before. It even seems worse now' He thought to himself.
Seeimg Julian and Tharn laugh, he only got angrier. She was the one who put him in the mess in the first place. All he had done was tell her he was thinking of joining her at her club. And what was her reply? He was too weak, and she was gonna get him a personal trainer. She just didn't tell him it wasn't gonna be as rosy as he had assumed.
"Actually Max," he said, directing his gaze back to Max. "I think I definitely need that rest."
"Come along then."
Natasha blocked their path, by standing at the door, and with Julian and Tharn by her sides, there was no way for Riley and Max to pass, unless they wanted to push through, or go through the back door.
"You sure you want to skip classes for just some sleep?"
"Oh, please Nat." He was pissed off but was also trying to be cool. The last thing he wanted was to receive another kick from Natasha
"Fine, suit yourself. I'm just gonna tell our homeroom teacher that you were busy playing video games all through the weekend. And that was how you ended up having eyebags, cause you didn't sleep a wink."
He felt like pouring a drink, anything on that smuggish smiling face of hers.
"That's not true. You of all people should know why I do have them. You just were not satisfied and had me practice more. I was so damn tired, but you were so energized, and you didn't stop pushing me to my limit."
The girls at the front roll gasped, then brought their palms to cover their blushing faces.
"Is he so embarrassed to say she took him to his climax time and over again?" a girl said to the others.
"He's probably saying it codedly." said another.
Julian heard them loud and clear, since he was closer to them, but the rest seemed not to have heard or were they just pretending they didn't hear.
'I'm confused, are the girls correct or maybe they are just misunderstanding. Riley is definitely gay, right? I mean, it's only male lovers he's been having issues with. Or is he bi? He seems pretty close, if not too close to Natasha, he even calls her Nat. Damn it, I should have known they were dating.' Julian thought to himself.
Julian was no longer following the argument, as he had something else to think on. All he knew was Riley brushing past him as he walked out of the classroom with Max.
Natasha and Tharn had moved forward and were walking to their various seats, when they realized that Julian was not with them. They looked back and were surprised to see him still by the door and looking into space.
"Hey Julian." Natahsa shouted.
Julian blinked his eyes as he looked at her, seeing her in front, he was a bit taken aback. He had no idea that they had moved.
Seeing her with a questioning look on her face, he didn't know what made him say what he said next, but he said it anyway.
"You and Riley, are you two dating?"
"Huh! What a weird question."
"Oh!"
Seeing that look of non-chalancy on her face made him happy. So, they are not dating. He turned to look at the girls at the front roll and snickered as he walked past them.
"What's his problem?" one of them said.
