Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Live Stream Tragedy

The live stream was in full swing, and we were all lounging together in the practice room, sinking into the couch like we didn't have a care in the world. It felt good to just be with each other and hang out. My black hoodie was pulled snug around me, and I was twirling a strand of my waist-length hair around my finger, the ends brushing the fabric as I scrolled through the chat.

Kiyoi sat beside me, her long black hair tied back in its signature high ponytail that brushed her knees. She was calmly reading through the comments, her dark eyes scanning the messages with a soft smile. I could tell she was doing that thing where she checked in on everyone, making sure everything was running smoothly.

"Hey, Korn," Kiyoi said, glancing over at me. "Someone in the chat wants to know if you've eaten today. You've been oddly quiet."

I rolled my eyes. "Always with the food questions," I teased. "I had a snack before this, thank you very much."

"Oh, a snack?" Kiyoi raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "I'm sure it was just a snack."

"Okay, okay, it was a double cheeseburger, but still," I grinned. "That's not the point here."

King, who had been lounging on the other side of the couch with her legs kicked up on the table, chimed in. Her white hair with pastel orange highlights looked like it was glowing in the light. She was reading through the chat too, and I could hear her muffling her laughter.

"Someone just said 'Korn, the idol with the appetite of a bear,'" King said, shaking her head with a laugh. "How do they know you so well?"

"I'm just living my truth," I responded, feigning seriousness. "It's not my fault I have such a great metabolizm."

Kylin, who was sitting on the armrest next to King, couldn't help but laugh. She had her brown hair pulled into a half-up style, and her dark brown eyes were sparkling with amusement as she read through the comments. "Someone says, 'Is Korn going to eat a whole cake during the stream today?'" she said, quoting a fan. "Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised."

"I'm not going to eat a whole cake!" I protested, throwing my hands up. "I have some self-control, you know."

Kiyoi, still scrolling through the chat, nodded like she was considering something. "I think the real question is: when do we get to make a cooking video with Korn? I think the people deserve to see how creative you really are with food."

I grinned wide sitting up straighter and making full eye contact with the camera. "Oh, it's happening. You just wait."

Out of the corner of my eye I can see some of the staff laughing at my statement. King leaned over and added her two cents. "You know what we really need? A mukbang live stream where Korn tries every type of food imaginable and then rates it."

"Please no," Kylin groaned, but she was laughing. "I can already picture the chaos, plus you know she will absolutely drag us all into it with her."

"You're darn right I will," I give her a smug look, we all start laughing.

I leaned back into the couch, feeling the weight of the moment and the lightheartedness between us. It was nice to have a break from everything else, to just be here, laughing and chatting with my friends and our Aura. The fans were still going wild in the chat, sending hearts and funny comments, and I loved how we could just be ourselves.

"So," I said, squinting at the screen, "who wants to see a cooking tutorial from me? I'll show you how to make the best ramen. No secrets."

Kiyoi raised her hand, clearly feigning seriousness. "I volunteer as your first taste tester."

"Oh, of course you do," I said, laughing. "Are you sure you're ready for the power of my cooking? It might change your life."

"Please, your ramen is basically a glorified soup," King teased, giving me an exaggerated look of disapproval.

"Excuse me, it's an art form!" I responded dramatically. "You just haven't appreciated the finer details yet."

At that moment, someone off-screen handed me a water bottle. It was one of the usual ones we had laying around, so I didn't think anything of it as I grabbed it, twisting off the cap and taking a sip.

I took a deep breath, feeling the warmth of the moment. There was something so comforting about these moments—just us, lounging and chatting. I loved it. The fans, our Aura, were so supportive. Every message, every heart emoji made me feel like I was a part of something bigger.

I reached for the water bottle at my side, the familiar weight of it in my hand. As I uncapped it, I didn't even think twice. Someone offscreen handed it to me without a word, but I didn't pay much attention. The bottle was cold against my fingers as I took a sip. The coolness of the water calmed my dry throat as I set it back down.

"So," Kylin began, clearing her throat. "I've been working on some new songs lately. I'm thinking of sharing some sneak peeks with you guys soon."

"Yeah, we'll believe it when we hear it," King teased with a wink.

Kylin laughed, the banter flowing so easily. "No promises, King. I'm working on it!"

"You always say that," Kiyoi chimed in with a grin. "But we'll take your word for it. I'm sure it's coming soon."

I couldn't help but smile. There was something so simple and real about these moments—about being with people who really understood you. These were my friends. We were Krystal, and we were going to keep pushing forward together.

But then, just as I was about to respond, something felt… off. It was like a sudden fog had rolled in, and everything around me slowed down. My vision blurred for a moment, and my head felt heavy. I blinked rapidly, trying to clear the disorienting haze. I tried to focus, to push through it.

And then my hand started to tremble, the water bottle slipping from my fingers and clattering to the floor. I couldn't move. Couldn't speak. Everything in me screamed to just stand up, to brush it off. But my body wouldn't listen.

"Korn?" Kiyoi's voice broke through the fog, soft but filled with a growing concern. Her hand was on my shoulder, her touch warm. "Hey, you okay?"

I tried to speak, but no words came out. My body felt like it was sinking, like the weight of the world was pressing down on me. I could hear Kiyoi's voice again, but it sounded so distant, so far away. The last thing I saw before everything went black was her face, filled with worry. Her hands were reaching for me, her voice full of panic.

"Korn, please! Wake up—please don't do this!"

But I couldn't respond. My world had already slipped away.

The next thing I knew, I was somewhere else. A blur of sirens, shouting, and panicked voices. I could feel the cool air around me, but I was too far gone to understand it. I didn't know if I was dreaming or if it was real.

Fans and media alike were left stunned today as Korn, a member of the popular idol group Krystal, tragically passed away live on stream. Viewers had tuned in for the group's casual live session, but everything changed in an instant when Korn collapsed mid-conversation. Despite immediate efforts from her fellow members and the stream being abruptly cut off, Korn was later confirmed dead.

Krystal's management has yet to release an official statement on the cause of death, though sources close to the group suggest it may have been an unforeseen medical emergency. The tragic incident has left fans, known as Aura, devastated and searching for answers.

As of now, the cause of Korn's death remains under investigation, but her passing has already sparked a wave of questions and intense reactions across social media.

SHOCKING CLAIMS: Anonymous Source Reveals Korn's Secret Identity

In an unexpected turn of events following Korn's death, an anonymous source has come forward with shocking claims about the late idol. According to the source, Korn was reportedly transgender—a detail that had been kept hidden from the public eye.

"It wasn't something Korn ever wanted to disclose," the anonymous source shared with a popular entertainment outlet. "She had her reasons for keeping it private, but it wasn't a secret among the people who were close to her."

While the source's identity remains undisclosed, their statement has sent shockwaves through both Krystal's fanbase and the media. Korn's death, which was already tragic, has now raised further questions about her personal life and the potential struggles she faced.

Fans have flooded social media with their reactions, and many are left grappling with the revelation.

Fans React to Korn's Death: Some Express Confusion and Shock Over the Identity Revelation

As news of Korn's passing and the revelation about her being transgender spreads, reactions among Krystal's fanbase have been mixed. While many have expressed their grief over the idol's death, others are left confused by the details that have emerged.

"I just don't get it," one fan posted in an online forum. "Korn was always so confident, so happy, so open about her love for us. I never saw this coming. Why didn't she tell us?"

Others have been quick to defend Korn's decision to keep her identity private. "It's no one's business," another fan wrote. "Korn was Korn, no matter what her gender was. Why does it matter now? Let her rest in peace."

Despite the support, the online community is divided, with many fans expressing feelings of betrayal or confusion. Some are questioning if Korn's secret had anything to do with her untimely death.

Hateful Comments Emerge: "Was This the Cause of Her Death?" Fans Clash Over Identity Revelation

In the wake of Korn's death and the revelation that she was transgender, the tone on social media has taken a dark turn. A disturbing wave of hateful comments and offensive opinions has started to circulate, with some fans expressing anger over her hidden identity.

"Now it all makes sense," one comment on a popular forum read. "She was hiding something—no wonder it all ended this way."

Others have joined in, sharing similar sentiments that have stirred up controversy. "This is what happens when you keep secrets. She never should have been in the spotlight," one user wrote.

More vile comments followed, some directly misgendering Korn. "Of course it ended like this. He couldn't keep up the act forever," one poster said. "I don't care what anyone says, that's not a real woman. Just a guy playing pretend."

Other comments continue to bash the idol. "It's the least she-he owed us. No one wants to support something like that anyways".

The backlash has prompted many fans to speak out in Korn's defense, one such stating the following; "No need to be so hateful, Korn passed so well that no one had even an inkling that she was trans. Plus, you're not a real fan if you stop supporting your idol for something that is none of your business!" But the division among her supporters is undeniable. While some remain supportive and protective of her legacy, others have shown a disturbing lack of empathy in light of the new information.

A Divide in the Fanbase: Fans Argue Over Korn's Legacy Amid Controversy

As the news surrounding Korn's identity and death continues to unfold, Krystal's fanbase remains sharply divided. Some fans refuse to accept the media's portrayal of Korn as anything other than the idol they admired, while others are struggling to process the new information.

"I can't believe people are attacking her like this," one fan wrote in a public post. "Korn was always real with us. She didn't owe anyone an explanation for her identity. She was our idol, and that's all that matters."

But on the other side, voices of frustration and anger continue to echo. "I feel lied to," one fan posted. "If she really cared about us, why wouldn't she have been honest? She was part of a public image, and that's a big deal."

The growing debate has led to a heated argument within online forums and social media platforms, with some fans going as far as threatening to leave the fandom altogether. Amid the confusion and pain, Krystal's members, including Kiyoi, remain silent, as fans wait for an official statement from the group.
