Rachel Foster didn't know much about Mia Collins. Still, the day she heard William Franklin mention that he had sent Mia to be by Kingsly Scott's side, she assumed Mia must be in love with William. That's why Mia would follow William's instructions to get close to Kingsly.
However, that morning, when she saw Mia in Kingsly's office, tears streaming down her face, Rachel was puzzled. She even thought earlier that Mia might have come to see her because of her and Kingsly's unresolved divorce.
Now, she may have misunderstood Mia.
Rachel asked, "Didn't William tell you?"
"Tell me what?" Mia growled, "Mrs. Scott, I advise you to stay far away from William and never believe a word he says because... because it was all his doing that I got close to Kingsly."
Rachel wasn't surprised at all, but the mix of anger and hurt on Mia's face at that moment made her see a very passionate and kind-hearted young woman.
