Chapter 107 - Ch. 106 - Civil Unrest!

"This can't be happening." Inside the Mirror Dimension, Zekram watched as the former glorious city of Lucifaad was turned into ruins, all because of his one mistake.

Trusting Chamber.

Inside this dimension, Zekram can see everything that happened and as much as he wanted to interfere and to help his kind, he was unable to.

It was as if the Mirror Dimension was truly living up to its name. Which is a simple dimension mirroring the real world.

Let's you see the exact replica of the real world and yet you'd be unable to touch or do anything as being inside the mirror is different from the outside world.

Right now, Zekram can be seen kneeling on the ground, his face full of sorrow and regret after watching his kind slaughtered and the city turned into ashes.

"So what do you think?" Suddenly, Zekram finally heard a voice after so many grueling hours of hearing nothing but loud explosions and screams of the devils.

Turning around, Zekram growled his teeth in anger after finally seeing the person behind it all.

Chamber was standing in front of him, casually giving him a hand wave, which just added a fuel to his fiery anger.

"It's you! It's because of you! My plans were flawless! Devils wouldn't been pushed to the edge like this nor the Heaven being on the winning side!" Zekram clenched his fists and accused Chamber as he pointed his finger at him.

"Me? Why me? You should've expected something like this to happen right? Knowing you and that cunning yet cautious brain of yours, you have long already predicted that someday, I'll be turning my back against you and we'll be on each other's throats, right?" Chamber stepped forward with a fearless expression and said.

"Let me guess. You weren't expecting my betrayal to be this soon, right? So your half-cooked plan of kidnapping my student under my nose became the trigger for this event." Now standing in front of Zekram face to face, Chamber coldly continued.

"A wise man once told me 'If you can't take a wild animal, you might as well release it back to the wilds.' Do you know what it means? It means, you should've minded your own business instead of meddling with my own. Now look at where that got you." Chamber sneered before turning around.

"At first. I was considering killing you but I changed my mind. I'll let you stay here in this place forever…" Chamber then raised his hand and snapped his finger, the flaming building, scattering devils and screams came to a halt as if the time had stopped.

Which it really did.

"…in this exact same moment." With that being said, a portal was conjured beneath his feet before swallowing him whole.

"No! No!" When realization settled in that he would be stuck in this moment for the rest of his life, Zekram immediately panicked and used his Demonic Energy to bolster his speed to catch up with the closing portal.

Unfortunately, he was too late and the portal has closed in, locking him here, forever, alone and stuck in the same moment of his people's agony.

Once Chamber got out, he was still in Lucifaad city except that there were no longer any burning buildings or screaming devils.

Although the structure were still in ruins and the devils were now rounded up in the center of the city, wriggling and glaring at the glowing Angels floating up above them.

"This should be fixed." God muttered to himself while waving his hand, fixing the broken structures with ease.

"You know you don't have to do the grunt work." Chamber's words rang behind him, causing the old man to look back.

"Ah, you're back. Finished with your business, I see?" God gave him a knowing smirk before shifting his focus back on the piece of rubble that he set aside before continuing, this time, answering Chamber's words.

"You can't blame me. I like doing things like this. Helping others, I mean."

"Helping enemies, you mean." Chamber chuckled and said, interfering with God's work by raising his hand and a glowing green aura was formed.

"Allow your grandson to help." With that being said, Chamber simply waved his hand and the entire ruined city of Lucifaad was shrouded by a green light.

Fwooosh!

The Devils and the Angels watched in shock and amazement as the city that was in ruins were slowly being fixed as if the time is being reversed, which indeed it is.

With the help of his Chronos Requiem, Chamber was able to encase the entire city in a time bubble and turn back time to before the war happened.

Of course, Chamber left out the dead bodies and corpses, although he's capable to reviving them through time reversal but wouldn't that just waste everyone's effort in this war?

Its didn't take long before Lucifaad was restored to its previous state.

"That should do it." Chamber grinned and patted his palms against each other with a satisfied smile on his face.

"Nice job. You're getting the hang of it." God walked up to his side and crossed his arms, staring at Chamber's meticulous work with a proud smile on his face.

"Thanks." Chamber smiled however, God's next words made his smile strain.

"By the way. I think Raviel is already awake." The old man casually said.

"….Just now or since earlier?" Chamber's lips quivered while asking this question, as if he already knew the answer to it.

"Since earlier." True to his guess, he was right!

"And you just decided to tell me now? You could've told me earlier before I fixed the entire city for like…5 minutes?" Chamber couldn't help himself but mentally slap his forehead.

"Well, you're the one who wanted to show off earlier. Is it wrong for grandpa to give his grandson a spotlight to shine on?" God answered with a shrug of his shoulders.

"…." Chamber was speechless. Well, who wouldn't? In his mind, he felt like God's words had a hint of truth in it.

"I'll see him." Chamber sighed and didn't bother fighting it out with the old man.

Conjuring a portal, Chamber entered it soon after.

"Good luck!" Before the portal closed, he heard God yell to him for the last time.

"So this is what I look like?" Raviel muttered to himself while staring at his reflection in the mirror.

"How fascinating…" He continued to mutter while extending his hand forward to touch the surface of the mirror, amazed by its capabilities.

"You're finally awake." Hearing a familiar voice behind him, Ravie quickly turned around and saw a familiar face.

"Chamber!" His dull expression immediately showed joy upon seeing his first and only friend.

"Took you long enough to wake up, I just went to handle some matters, so I'm sorry if I wasn't there when you woke up." Chamber smiled apologetically.

"It's okay." Raviel shook his head and forgave him.

"Someone was here to keep me company after all." Hearing his words, the door was immediately burst open by a kick from the other side.

"Here comes chef Augustus! At your servic-!?" Augustus, wearing an overlarge chef uniform and a top white hat, froze in shock after seeing another person in the room.

"M-Master!?" Augustus almost dropped the metallic tray he was holding.

"I see you enjoy being a caretaker, Augustus." Chamber smirked in a teasing manner.

"M-Master!"

"How could this happen?" Inside a hidden base somewhere in Leviathan territory, a few hundred devils have gathered around a small table, with only a small lit fireplace serving as their source of light.

"I believe there was a traitor among us. No way Heaven could have known that the Four Satans have gathered in Lucifaad today." Among them, bearing a Asmodeus clan symbol, growled angrily, smashing his fist on the small table, causing some cracks in it.

"He's right."

"There's definitely a traitor."

"That's right! How dare someone betray us!"

Several more devils added their own thoughts, some supporting the Asmodeus devil.

"Damaidosu. Don't be impulsive." A sharp voice cut through the murmurings, silencing them in an instant.

Stepping forward through the crowd was a familiar silver-haired man, bearing a grim yet angered expression.

"Rizevim…." The Asmodeus clan member, now revealed to be Asmodeus's direct son, Damaidosu Zereikel Asmodeus, muttered with a slight hint of fear in his eyes.

Clearly, the latter knows something about the former, hence the source of fear.

"We're not betrayed. We were simply too weak." His words were like sharp knives to their hearts, penetrating deeply, not to mention, it is the King of Devil, Lucifer's son who just said this to them, so the effect is triple.

"What do you suggest we do then?" Suddenly, among the silent crowd, a femine voice rang forward.

"Tsufaame…" Rizevim muttered the name of the newcomer female.

Wearing the same arrogance as her mother, Leviathan, Tsufaame looked down on almost everyone around her, making some a bit unsettled.

"No doubt without the Four Satans. The entire devil society will be in chaos and with the Heavevn breathing down on our necks, we have no choice but to retreat and hide. We should gather power and make sure to not catch Heaven's attention." Rizevim suggested which was soon countered by another newcomer.

"Then what about the rest of the devils out there? Are we just going to leave them like a headless chicken?" It was the direct son of Beelzebub, Bidleid Bashalun Beelzebuh.

Now, the four children of the four great but deceased Satans have gathered together.

"Of course not. We'll gather as much fellow devils as we can. Although I have no doubt that some might surrender directly to Heaven just for the sake of their own skins. So we'll take in those who are loyal to us and then cripple the rest who doesn't want to." Rizevim declared coldly with a determined tone, knowing full well what he just suggested is more on massacring his own race.

"I don't want any of them to rise to power and become the new Satans of the Devils. So we'll cut off their limbs while we still can."
